Izabrani američki predsjednik Joe Biden zatražio je u srijedu od Kongresa da radi na prioritetima njegovog programa, unatoč procesu opoziva koji se vodi protiv još uvijek aktualnog predsjednika Donalda Trumpa.

"Nadam se da će Senat pronaći način da provede svoje ustavne odgovornosti u vezi procesa opoziva, rješavajući istovremeno urgentna pitanja za naciju", rekao je u priopćenju Biden, nakon što je Zastupnički dom Kongresa glasao u srijedu za opoziv predsjednika Donalda Trumpa zbog poticanja na prošlotjedni napad njegovih pristaša na Kapitol.

Među prioritetima koje je naveo Biden su potvrda članova njegovog kabineta, pokretanje američke ekonomije i nastavak plana distribucije cjepiva protiv covida-19.

"Ovoj naciji prijete smrtonosni virus i neisigurna ekonomija", upozorio je budući predsjednik koji prisegu treba položiti 20. siječnja.

Zastupnički dom glasao je o jednoj formalnoj optužbi za opoziv - "poticanju na pobunu" - koja se odnosi na Trumpov govor tisućama njegovih pristaša 6. siječnja nedugo prije nego su oni nasilno upali u zgradu Kongresa, prekinuvši sjednicu na kojoj je trebala formalno biti potvrđena pobjeda Joea Bidena na izborima 3. studenoga.

U sukobima je život izgubilo pet osoba. Tijekom svog govora Trump je ponavljao lažne tvrdnje o namještanju izbora i pozivao svoje pristaše da marširaju na Kapitol.

Trump je tako postao prvi američki predsjednik koji je dva puta opozvan u Zastupničkom domu Kongresa, no male su šanse da se opoziv potvrdi dvotrećinskom većinom u Senatu koji će ionako do 20. siječnja, kad na dužnost stupa Joe Biden, biti pod republikanskom kontrolom.

Senat bi, međutim, mogao Trumpu zabraniti da se drugi put kandidira za dužnost jer je za to potrebna obična većina.

Izabrani američki predsjednik Joe Biden zatražio je u srijedu od Kongresa da radi na prioritetima njegovog programa, unatoč procesu opoziva koji se vodi protiv još uvijek aktualnog predsjednika Donalda Trumpa.

"Nadam se da će Senat pronaći način da provede svoje ustavne odgovornosti u vezi procesa opoziva, rješavajući istovremeno urgentna pitanja za naciju", rekao je u priopćenju Biden, nakon što je Zastupnički dom Kongresa glasao u srijedu za opoziv predsjednika Donalda Trumpa zbog poticanja na prošlotjedni napad njegovih pristaša na Kapitol.

Među prioritetima koje je naveo Biden su potvrda članova njegovog kabineta, pokretanje američke ekonomije i nastavak plana distribucije cjepiva protiv covida-19.

"Ovoj naciji prijete smrtonosni virus i neisigurna ekonomija", upozorio je budući predsjednik koji prisegu treba položiti 20. siječnja.

Zastupnički dom glasao je o jednoj formalnoj optužbi za opoziv - "poticanju na pobunu" - koja se odnosi na Trumpov govor tisućama njegovih pristaša 6. siječnja nedugo prije nego su oni nasilno upali u zgradu Kongresa, prekinuvši sjednicu na kojoj je trebala formalno biti potvrđena pobjeda Joea Bidena na izborima 3. studenoga.

U sukobima je život izgubilo pet osoba. Tijekom svog govora Trump je ponavljao lažne tvrdnje o namještanju izbora i pozivao svoje pristaše da marširaju na Kapitol.

Trump je tako postao prvi američki predsjednik koji je dva puta opozvan u Zastupničkom domu Kongresa, no male su šanse da se opoziv potvrdi dvotrećinskom većinom u Senatu koji će ionako do 20. siječnja, kad na dužnost stupa Joe Biden, biti pod republikanskom kontrolom.

Senat bi, međutim, mogao Trumpu zabraniti da se drugi put kandidira za dužnost jer je za to potrebna obična većina.

Izabrani američki predsjednik Joe Biden zatražio je u srijedu od Kongresa da radi na prioritetima njegovog programa, unatoč procesu opoziva koji se vodi protiv još uvijek aktualnog predsjednika Donalda Trumpa.

"Nadam se da će Senat pronaći način da provede svoje ustavne odgovornosti u vezi procesa opoziva, rješavajući istovremeno urgentna pitanja za naciju", rekao je u priopćenju Biden, nakon što je Zastupnički dom Kongresa glasao u srijedu za opoziv predsjednika Donalda Trumpa zbog poticanja na prošlotjedni napad njegovih pristaša na Kapitol.

Među prioritetima koje je naveo Biden su potvrda članova njegovog kabineta, pokretanje američke ekonomije i nastavak plana distribucije cjepiva protiv covida-19.
