‘Prije početka prvenstva samo smo htjele izbjeći posljednje mjesto, nadale smo se barem jednoj pobjedi.
- A evo nas sada u polufinalu i želimo u finale! - izjavila je Valentina Blažević uoči današnjeg dvoboja s Francuskom u Herningu (18 sati) u kojem hrvatska rukometna reprezentacija traži finale Europskog prvenstva.
Nevjerojatno je što uopće pišemo te riječi. Malo je tko prije par tjedana očekivao da će se Hrvatska toliko dugo zadržati u turniru. No, evo. Preko Mađarske, Nizozemske, Srbije, Rumunjske i Njemačke izbornik Nenad Šoštarić i njegove „kraljice šoka” došli su do polufinala. Iako je svaka spomenuta pobjeda bila pravo malo čudo, nema sumnje kako bi današnji trijumf nad Francuskom bio totalni vrhunac. Francuskinje su braniteljice naslova, strašna ekipa, ali nisu nepobjedive. Hrvatice su pokazale da su čuda moguća, pa zašto onda večeras ne napraviti još jedno.
- Što se ovdje događa naprosto je nevjerojatno. Prvo sam curama morao pokazati da mogu igrati protiv bilo koga. U sportu je najvažnije naučiti pobjeđivati. Kad to naučiš, kad imaš taj pobjednički mentalitet, svaki sljedeći korak postaje lakši. Samopouzdanje mojih igračica raste i kemija je nevjerojatna. Srce je najvažnije, ali naravno i glava koja mora razmišljati u pravim trenucima – kaže Šoštarić i otkriva:
- Na konferenciji EHF-a stekao sam dojam da nas Francuskinje respektiraju, ali i osjećaju neko olakšanje jer igraju s nama. Mi ćemo unijeti svu svoju emociju i to je ono što bi trebalo biti jako važno.
Naše reprezentativke kao da još nisu svjesne što su napravile. Kao da su u snu.
- Još ne shvaćamo što se događa. Živimo naš san dok nas netko ne probudi – reći će Kninjanka Blažević koja također igra fantastičan turnir.
- Da nam je netko prije tri tjedna usred priprema rekao da ćemo dogurati do polufinala, vjerojatno bismo mu rekli da je lud i da ništa ne razumije – iskrena je Blažević, ističući koliko su rezultati reprezentacije odjeknuli u Hrvatskoj.
- Stvorili smo veliku euforiju kod kuće, primamo toliko pozitivne energije i poruka iz Hrvatske. Ljudi luduju za nama i želimo im se odužiti u ovim teškim vremenima.
Za promjenu, Valentina i suigračice ovog su mjeseca preotele svjetla reflektora kolegama iz muške reprezentacije koji su proteklih desetljeća bili uspješniji od njih.
- Čak nam je i Luka Modrić čestitao. Nevjerojatno. Nismo to mogle ni zamisliti. Mi smo samo normalne cure, a sada se osjećamo poput zvijezda, kao Modrić na Svjetskom prvenstvu – uzbuđeno će Blažević.
Sad kad su „kraljice šoka” dogurale tako daleko, bila bi se šteta zaustaviti. Zadovoljne su svime što su do sada ostvarile, baš kao i hrvatska javnost, ali svi zajedno nadaju se nastavku ove danske bajke. Ne treba ni naglašavati koliko bi eventualni plasman u finale – a da ne pričamo o zlatu – imao utjecaja na ženski rukomet u našoj zemlji.
- Proteklih godina sve je manji broj curica koje se bave rukometom u Hrvatskoj i nadamo se da će ovaj turnir to promijeniti. Činimo sve kako bismo popularizirali rukomet doma. Jako sam ponosna na ovu ekipu. Ovo su naše uspomene, ovo je naš turnir i pišemo povijest našeg rukometa. Želimo u finale – zaključila je Blažević uoči utakmice života.

‘Prije početka prvenstva samo smo htjele izbjeći posljednje mjesto, nadale smo se barem jednoj pobjedi.
- A evo nas sada u polufinalu i želimo u finale! - izjavila je Valentina Blažević uoči današnjeg dvoboja s Francuskom u Herningu (18 sati) u kojem hrvatska rukometna reprezentacija traži finale Europskog prvenstva.
Nevjerojatno je što uopće pišemo te riječi. Malo je tko prije par tjedana očekivao da će se Hrvatska toliko dugo zadržati u turniru. No, evo. Preko Mađarske, Nizozemske, Srbije, Rumunjske i Njemačke izbornik Nenad Šoštarić i njegove „kraljice šoka” došli su do polufinala. Iako je svaka spomenuta pobjeda bila pravo malo čudo, nema sumnje kako bi današnji trijumf nad Francuskom bio totalni vrhunac. Francuskinje su braniteljice naslova, strašna ekipa, ali nisu nepobjedive. Hrvatice su pokazale da su čuda moguća, pa zašto onda večeras ne napraviti još jedno.
- Što se ovdje događa naprosto je nevjerojatno. Prvo sam curama morao pokazati da mogu igrati protiv bilo koga. U sportu je najvažnije naučiti pobjeđivati. Kad to naučiš, kad imaš taj pobjednički mentalitet, svaki sljedeći korak postaje lakši. Samopouzdanje mojih igračica raste i kemija je nevjerojatna. Srce je najvažnije, ali naravno i glava koja mora razmišljati u pravim trenucima – kaže Šoštarić i otkriva:
- Na konferenciji EHF-a stekao sam dojam da nas Francuskinje respektiraju, ali i osjećaju neko olakšanje jer igraju s nama. Mi ćemo unijeti svu svoju emociju i to je ono što bi trebalo biti jako važno.
Naše reprezentativke kao da još nisu svjesne što su napravile. Kao da su u snu.
- Još ne shvaćamo što se događa. Živimo naš san dok nas netko ne probudi – reći će Kninjanka Blažević koja također igra fantastičan turnir.
- Da nam je netko prije tri tjedna usred priprema rekao da ćemo dogurati do polufinala, vjerojatno bismo mu rekli da je lud i da ništa ne razumije – iskrena je Blažević, ističući koliko su rezultati reprezentacije odjeknuli u Hrvatskoj.
- Stvorili smo veliku euforiju kod kuće, primamo toliko pozitivne energije i poruka iz Hrvatske. Ljudi luduju za nama i želimo im se odužiti u ovim teškim vremenima.
Za promjenu, Valentina i suigračice ovog su mjeseca preotele svjetla reflektora kolegama iz muške reprezentacije koji su proteklih desetljeća bili uspješniji od njih.
- Čak nam je i Luka Modrić čestitao. Nevjerojatno. Nismo to mogle ni zamisliti. Mi smo samo normalne cure, a sada se osjećamo poput zvijezda, kao Modrić na Svjetskom prvenstvu – uzbuđeno će Blažević.
Sad kad su „kraljice šoka” dogurale tako daleko, bila bi se šteta zaustaviti. Zadovoljne su svime što su do sada ostvarile, baš kao i hrvatska javnost, ali svi zajedno nadaju se nastavku ove danske bajke. Ne treba ni naglašavati koliko bi eventualni plasman u finale – a da ne pričamo o zlatu – imao utjecaja na ženski rukomet u našoj zemlji.
- Proteklih godina sve je manji broj curica koje se bave rukometom u Hrvatskoj i nadamo se da će ovaj turnir to promijeniti. Činimo sve kako bismo popularizirali rukomet doma. Jako sam ponosna na ovu ekipu. Ovo su naše uspomene, ovo je naš turnir i pišemo povijest našeg rukometa. Želimo u finale – zaključila je Blažević uoči utakmice života.
