Meduze su opasni žarnjaci koji često nošeni morskom strujom plutaju u plićaku i može vam se dogoditi da se prilikom plivanja slučajno zapletete u njihove dugačke nevidljive lovke koje uzrokuju neugodnu, žareću bol na mjestu opekline.

U Jadranskom moru nema smrtonosnih meduza, ali je prisutno nekoliko vrsta otrovnih, od kojih su najpoznatije uhati klobuk (Aurelia aurita), morska mjesečina (Pelagia noctiluca) i morsko pluće (Rhizostoma pulmo).

Imaju duge krakove sa žarnim stanicama koje luče otrovni sadržaj, a bliski susret s njima može izazvati reakciju koja zahtijeva posjet liječniku. No, ako vam liječnik nije u blizini možete si pomoći i sami.

Isperite zahvaćeno područje dobro morem, kako biste se oslobodili ostataka lovki. Obavezno to napravite slanom vodom jer bi kontakt sa slatkom vodom nanio još veću bol.

Pažljivo uklonite preostale lovke pincetom (nikako golim rukama) i nanesite pastu napravljenu od sode bikarbone i vode, prekrijte gazom i ostavite da djeluje 15-20 minuta.

Mjehuri i antihistaminik

Zatim hladite mjesto opekline hladnim mastima koje će smanjiti bol, crvenilo i otekline. Možete se hladiti i ledom koji ćete staviti u vrećicu, ali obloge nikako nemojte držati dulje od 20 minuta.

Ako nemate pri ruci sodu bikarbonu, možete učiniti nešto poput površinskog pilinga kože tako što ćete pomiješati pijesak i morsku vodu i staviti na opečeno mjesto s kojeg ste prethodno sastrugali ostatke lovki.​ Nakon toga se može nanijeti ocat.

Nekoliko idućih dana opečeno mjesto može se mazati kremom koja sadrži kortikosteroid ili biljnim pripravcima kao što su losioni ili gelovi koji sadrže otopinu kamilice, nevena, alfa bisabolol i aluminij acetotartarat.

Ako nastanu mjehuri, potrebno ih je sterilno otvoriti i mazati antibiotskom masti nekoliko dana. U slučaju jačeg svrbeža mogu se uzimati antihistaminici u tabletama te uz kortikosteroidne kreme opečeno mjesto može se mazati i kremama koje će ublažiti svrbež.

Kad poći liječniku?

Oteklina na mjestu opekline vidljiva je od nekoliko dana do nekoliko tjedana, a mogu se razviti i sekundarne infekcije kože, kao i promjene poput ekcema, praćene jakim svrbežom, te krasta i promjena boje kože u obliku hiperpigmentacija.

Obično oteklina nestane u roku od tjedan dana, ali ako se to ne dogodi, svakako posjetite liječnika. Inače, treba znati da je koža nakon ovih opeklina neko vrijeme bitno osjetljivija na sunce pa se nakon ovog iskustva nikako ne preporučuje sunčanje kako bi se izbjeglo nastajanje mogućih hiperpigmentacija.

Ako je opeklina nastala na licu, blizu očiju, ili u području genitalija, ili ako su opeklinom zahvaćene velike površine kože tada je svakako potrebno potražiti liječničku pomoć jer se mogu pojaviti i ozbiljniji simptomi tipa mučnine, glavobolje i povraćanja, koje može dovesti do dehidracije.

U slučaju šoka​

Ponekad bliski susret s meduzom ili skupinom meduza može završiti dramatično, konkretno reakcijom poput anafilaktičkog šoka koji karakteriziraju poteškoće u disanju, opća slabost, glavobolja, povraćanje, grčenje mišića, promjene tjelesne temperature i gubitak svijesti.

Srećom, takve su situacije iznimno rijetke, a tada je zbog opasnosti za život nužno opečenu osobu što hitnije prebaciti do najbliže zdravstvene ustanove, a istodobno provoditi postupak oživljavanja.

Meduze su opasni žarnjaci koji često nošeni morskom strujom plutaju u plićaku i može vam se dogoditi da se prilikom plivanja slučajno zapletete u njihove dugačke nevidljive lovke koje uzrokuju neugodnu, žareću bol na mjestu opekline.

U Jadranskom moru nema smrtonosnih meduza, ali je prisutno nekoliko vrsta otrovnih, od kojih su najpoznatije uhati klobuk (Aurelia aurita), morska mjesečina (Pelagia noctiluca) i morsko pluće (Rhizostoma pulmo).

Imaju duge krakove sa žarnim stanicama koje luče otrovni sadržaj, a bliski susret s njima može izazvati reakciju koja zahtijeva posjet liječniku. No, ako vam liječnik nije u blizini možete si pomoći i sami.

Isperite zahvaćeno područje dobro morem, kako biste se oslobodili ostataka lovki. Obavezno to napravite slanom vodom jer bi kontakt sa slatkom vodom nanio još veću bol.

Pažljivo uklonite preostale lovke pincetom (nikako golim rukama) i nanesite pastu napravljenu od sode bikarbone i vode, prekrijte gazom i ostavite da djeluje 15-20 minuta.

Mjehuri i antihistaminik

Zatim hladite mjesto opekline hladnim mastima koje će smanjiti bol, crvenilo i otekline. Možete se hladiti i ledom koji ćete staviti u vrećicu, ali obloge nikako nemojte držati dulje od 20 minuta.

Ako nemate pri ruci sodu bikarbonu, možete učiniti nešto poput površinskog pilinga kože tako što ćete pomiješati pijesak i morsku vodu i staviti na opečeno mjesto s kojeg ste prethodno sastrugali ostatke lovki.​ Nakon toga se može nanijeti ocat.

Nekoliko idućih dana opečeno mjesto može se mazati kremom koja sadrži kortikosteroid ili biljnim pripravcima kao što su losioni ili gelovi koji sadrže otopinu kamilice, nevena, alfa bisabolol i aluminij acetotartarat.

Ako nastanu mjehuri, potrebno ih je sterilno otvoriti i mazati antibiotskom masti nekoliko dana. U slučaju jačeg svrbeža mogu se uzimati antihistaminici u tabletama te uz kortikosteroidne kreme opečeno mjesto može se mazati i kremama koje će ublažiti svrbež.

Kad poći liječniku?

Oteklina na mjestu opekline vidljiva je od nekoliko dana do nekoliko tjedana, a mogu se razviti i sekundarne infekcije kože, kao i promjene poput ekcema, praćene jakim svrbežom, te krasta i promjena boje kože u obliku hiperpigmentacija.

Obično oteklina nestane u roku od tjedan dana, ali ako se to ne dogodi, svakako posjetite liječnika. Inače, treba znati da je koža nakon ovih opeklina neko vrijeme bitno osjetljivija na sunce pa se nakon ovog iskustva nikako ne preporučuje sunčanje kako bi se izbjeglo nastajanje mogućih hiperpigmentacija.

Ako je opeklina nastala na licu, blizu očiju, ili u području genitalija, ili ako su opeklinom zahvaćene velike površine kože tada je svakako potrebno potražiti liječničku pomoć jer se mogu pojaviti i ozbiljniji simptomi tipa mučnine, glavobolje i povraćanja, koje može dovesti do dehidracije.

U slučaju šoka​

Ponekad bliski susret s meduzom ili skupinom meduza može završiti dramatično, konkretno reakcijom poput anafilaktičkog šoka koji karakteriziraju poteškoće u disanju, opća slabost, glavobolja, povraćanje, grčenje mišića, promjene tjelesne temperature i gubitak svijesti.

Srećom, takve su situacije iznimno rijetke, a tada je zbog opasnosti za život nužno opečenu osobu što hitnije prebaciti do najbliže zdravstvene ustanove, a istodobno provoditi postupak oživljavanja.

Na internetu postoji velik broj neprovjerenih mitova o njezi opeklina izazvanih žarnjacima meduza.

eki preporučuju da po opečenom dijelu tijela pospete sol, drugi sugeriraju obloge od mokraće, komprese s različitim otopinama koje samo uzrokuju još jaču bol.

Nemojte to činiti, jer ništa od toga ne pomaže.

Meduze su opasni žarnjaci koji često nošeni morskom strujom plutaju u plićaku i može vam se dogoditi da se prilikom plivanja slučajno zapletete u njihove dugačke nevidljive lovke koje uzrokuju neugodnu, žareću bol na mjestu opekline.

U Jadranskom moru nema smrtonosnih meduza, ali je prisutno nekoliko vrsta otrovnih, od kojih su najpoznatije uhati klobuk (Aurelia aurita), morska mjesečina (Pelagia noctiluca) i morsko pluće (Rhizostoma pulmo).

Imaju duge krakove sa žarnim stanicama koje luče otrovni sadržaj, a bliski susret s njima može izazvati reakciju koja zahtijeva posjet liječniku. No, ako vam liječnik nije u blizini možete si pomoći i sami.
