Prvi puta u povijesti dronom je kirurzima u američkoj bolnici dostavljen organ za transplantaciju, prenio je u petak BBC.
Postoji ogromni potencijal za dostavu medicinskih potrepština dronovima a u Africi dronovima su već dostavljena cjepiva.
Primateljica bubrega bila je 44-godišnjakinja iz Baltimorea koja je na organ čekala osam godina. "Sve skupa je zadivljujuće. Prije nekoliko godina ovo nije bilo nešto na što biste računali", kazala je pacijentica.
Prema mreži za donacije organa u SAD-u u 2018. evidentirano je 114.000 ljudi na listama čekanja. U 1,5 posto slučajeva organi nikad nisu došli do odredišta a gotovo četiri posto kasnilo je dva ili više sati.
"Dostavljanje organa od donora do primatelja sveta je dužnost s mnogo elemenata. Ključno je da pronađemo načine da to radimo bolje", kaže Joseph Scalea, profesor kirurgije s medicinskog fakulteta Sveučilišta Maryland i jedan od kirurga koji je izveo transplantaciju.

"Kao rezultat iznimne suradnje kirurga, inženjera i Savezne uprave za letove, stručnjaka za osiguravanje organa, pilota, medicinskih sestara i pacijentice uspjeli smo obaviti pionirski pothvat u transplantaciji".
Dron je prešao put od gotovo pet kilometara i za to je bilo potrebno mnogo nove tehnologije uključujući prilagođeni dron koji može uz organ prevoziti i kamere i druge sustave za osiguravanje organa u letu i komunikaciju preko gusto naseljenog područja.
"Pritisak je bio ogroman jer smo znali da neka osoba čeka organ ali istodobno se radilo o posebnoj privilegiji sudjelovati u toj presudnoj misiji", rekao je inženjer Matthew Scassero sa Sveučlišta Maryland.

Prvi puta u povijesti dronom je kirurzima u američkoj bolnici dostavljen organ za transplantaciju, prenio je u petak BBC.
Postoji ogromni potencijal za dostavu medicinskih potrepština dronovima a u Africi dronovima su već dostavljena cjepiva.
Primateljica bubrega bila je 44-godišnjakinja iz Baltimorea koja je na organ čekala osam godina. "Sve skupa je zadivljujuće. Prije nekoliko godina ovo nije bilo nešto na što biste računali", kazala je pacijentica.
Prema mreži za donacije organa u SAD-u u 2018. evidentirano je 114.000 ljudi na listama čekanja. U 1,5 posto slučajeva organi nikad nisu došli do odredišta a gotovo četiri posto kasnilo je dva ili više sati.
"Dostavljanje organa od donora do primatelja sveta je dužnost s mnogo elemenata. Ključno je da pronađemo načine da to radimo bolje", kaže Joseph Scalea, profesor kirurgije s medicinskog fakulteta Sveučilišta Maryland i jedan od kirurga koji je izveo transplantaciju.

"Kao rezultat iznimne suradnje kirurga, inženjera i Savezne uprave za letove, stručnjaka za osiguravanje organa, pilota, medicinskih sestara i pacijentice uspjeli smo obaviti pionirski pothvat u transplantaciji".
Dron je prešao put od gotovo pet kilometara i za to je bilo potrebno mnogo nove tehnologije uključujući prilagođeni dron koji može uz organ prevoziti i kamere i druge sustave za osiguravanje organa u letu i komunikaciju preko gusto naseljenog područja.
"Pritisak je bio ogroman jer smo znali da neka osoba čeka organ ali istodobno se radilo o posebnoj privilegiji sudjelovati u toj presudnoj misiji", rekao je inženjer Matthew Scassero sa Sveučlišta Maryland.
