Uragan Ida pogodio je u nedjelju američku državu Louisianu, jugozapadno od New Orleansa, kao uragan 4 stupnja, objavio je Nacionalni centar za uragane u Miamiju - piše Index.hr.

Donio je sa sobom maksimalne vjetrove od oko 240 kilometara na sat kada je pogodio obalu nakon prelaska Meksičkog zaljeva, dodao je NHC.

Uragani takve snage, jedan stupanj manje od najviše, obično uzrokuju katastrofalne posljedice, dodaje NHC, upozoravajući na visoku plimu i moguće poplave.

Nacionalni centar za uragane javlja da se ekstremno jaki vjetrovi šire po Louisiani. Podizanje razine mora uzrokovalo je poplave za koje Centar kaže da će biti životno ugrožavajuće još nekoliko sati.

Ida je pogodila obalu u blizini Fort Fourchon, šesnaest godina nakon uragana Katrina koji je devastirao to područje na jugu SAD-a.

Više od 400.000 kućanstava je bez struje - javlja CNN.

Američki predsjednik Joe Biden pozvao je stanovnike koji se nalaze na putu uragana Ida da oluju shvate "vrlo ozbiljno" - prenosi CNN.
Pozvao je stanovnike da slušaju dužnosnike i da budu na sigurnom dok uragan Ida zahvaća obalu Louisiane.

"Oluja je opasna po život. To nije samo obala. Nije samo New Orleans. To je i sjever. Očekuje se da će oborine biti izuzetno velike ", rekao je Biden na brifingu u Federalnoj agencije za upravljanje u hitnim slučajevima.
Joe Biden je obećao da će staviti "punu snagu zemlje" u spašavanje i oporavak.

"Bit ćemo ovdje. Bit ćemo ovdje da pomognemo zaljevskoj regiji da stane na noge što je prije moguće i koliko god je potrebno", rekao je.

Resursi će biti dostupni nakon oluje, rekao je Biden, uključujući 2,5 milijuna obroka, 3 milijuna litara vode, timove za traganje i spašavanje i timove hitne medicinske pomoći. Dužnosnici su u kontaktu s dobavljačima električne energije za slučajeve dugotrajnih prekida opskrbe.

Uragan Ida promijenio tok Mississippija

Oluja i snažni vjetrovi uragana Ide zaustavili su tok rijeke Mississippi u blizini New Orleansa, objavio je Geološki zavod SAD-a.

I ne samo to, uragan je promijenio tok Mississippija, što američki geolozi nazivaju "ekstremno neuobičajenim".

"Sjećam se da je došlo do preokreta toka Mississippija tijekom uragana Katrine, ali to je iznimno rijetko", rekao je za CNN Scott Perrien, nadzorni hidrolog iz Geološkog zavoda SAD-a.

Perrien je primijetio da je razina rijeke porasla nešto više od dva metra.

"Za to vrijeme, tok rijeke se prepolovio s oko 30 centimetara u sekundi na oko 15 centimetara u sekundi", rekao je Perrien. 

Perrien je istaknuo da mjerač ne mjeri protok cijele rijeke, pa je moguće da dublji dijelovi rijeke nisu promijenili smjerove toka.

"Mississippi je pogođen posljedicama oluje na velikom području", rekao je Perrien. "Sve do Baton Rougea rijeka je u posljednjih 12 sati porasla za 45 centimetara, a razina vode će se vjerojatno više povećati u narednim satima ovdje u Baton Rougeu", dodao je Perrien.

Službe za hitne slučajeve u New Orleansu priopćile su u nedjelju da su obustavile sve operacije jer je uragan Ida na kopnu.

"Operacije NOEMS-a obustavljene su zbog opasnih vjetrova", objavilo je ministarstvo u tvitu u nedjelju.

NOEMS je rekao da će se operacije nastaviti kada uvjeti budu sigurni za prve koji se jave.

Deseci tisuća stanovnika Louisiane pobjegli su u nedjelju iz te američke savezne države uoči dolaska Ide iz Meksičkog zaljeva.

Očekuje se da će Ida biti jedna od najjačih oluja koja je pogodila Louisianu u posljednjih 150 godina.

Trenutačno najveća izmjerena brzina vjetra iznosi 249 km/h i ako se poveća za samo 10 km/h, Ida će se pretvoriti u uragan pete kategorije.

Louisianu do sada nikad nije pogodio uragan te snage, a prije 16 godina devastirao ju je uragan Katrina kada je poginulo više od 1800 ljudi.  

Ida je već opustošila dio Kube, rušeći stabla i noseći krovove kuća, a na Jamajci je prouzročila obilnu kišu. Nema informacija o smrtno stradalima.

Uragan Ida kategorije 4 po jačini i brzinom vjetra od 240 km/h postao je najjači koji je ikada udario o obalu Louisiane u povijesti.

Ida se izjednačila s uraganom iz 1856. godine koji je s istom jačinom stigao na obalu te savezne američke države.

Louisiana je također postala prva savezna država koja je imala uragane s brzinom vjetra jačom od 240 km/h u dvije uzastopne godine. Lani je to bio uragan Laura.

Uragan Ida pogodio je u nedjelju američku državu Louisianu, jugozapadno od New Orleansa, kao uragan 4 stupnja, objavio je Nacionalni centar za uragane u Miamiju - piše Index.hr.

Donio je sa sobom maksimalne vjetrove od oko 240 kilometara na sat kada je pogodio obalu nakon prelaska Meksičkog zaljeva, dodao je NHC.

Uragani takve snage, jedan stupanj manje od najviše, obično uzrokuju katastrofalne posljedice, dodaje NHC, upozoravajući na visoku plimu i moguće poplave.

Nacionalni centar za uragane javlja da se ekstremno jaki vjetrovi šire po Louisiani. Podizanje razine mora uzrokovalo je poplave za koje Centar kaže da će biti životno ugrožavajuće još nekoliko sati.

Ida je pogodila obalu u blizini Fort Fourchon, šesnaest godina nakon uragana Katrina koji je devastirao to područje na jugu SAD-a.

Američki predsjednik Joe Biden pozvao je stanovnike koji se nalaze na putu uragana Ida da oluju shvate "vrlo ozbiljno" - prenosi CNN.
Pozvao je stanovnike da slušaju dužnosnike i da budu na sigurnom dok uragan Ida zahvaća obalu Louisiane.

"Oluja je opasna po život. To nije samo obala. Nije samo New Orleans. To je i sjever. Očekuje se da će oborine biti izuzetno velike ", rekao je Biden na brifingu u Federalnoj agencije za upravljanje u hitnim slučajevima.

Resursi će biti dostupni nakon oluje, rekao je Biden, uključujući 2,5 milijuna obroka, 3 milijuna litara vode, timove za traganje i spašavanje i timove hitne medicinske pomoći. Dužnosnici su u kontaktu s dobavljačima električne energije za slučajeve dugotrajnih prekida opskrbe.

Uragan Ida promijenio tok Mississippija

Oluja i snažni vjetrovi uragana Ide zaustavili su tok rijeke Mississippi u blizini New Orleansa, objavio je Geološki zavod SAD-a.

I ne samo to, uragan je promijenio tok Mississippija, što američki geolozi nazivaju "ekstremno neuobičajenim".

"Sjećam se da je došlo do preokreta toka Mississippija tijekom uragana Katrine, ali to je iznimno rijetko", rekao je za CNN Scott Perrien, nadzorni hidrolog iz Geološkog zavoda SAD-a.

Perrien je primijetio da je razina rijeke porasla nešto više od dva metra.

"Za to vrijeme, tok rijeke se prepolovio s oko 30 centimetara u sekundi na oko 15 centimetara u sekundi", rekao je Perrien. 

Perrien je istaknuo da mjerač ne mjeri protok cijele rijeke, pa je moguće da dublji dijelovi rijeke nisu promijenili smjerove toka.

"Mississippi je pogođen posljedicama oluje na velikom području", rekao je Perrien. "Sve do Baton Rougea rijeka je u posljednjih 12 sati porasla za 45 centimetara, a razina vode će se vjerojatno više povećati u narednim satima ovdje u Baton Rougeu", dodao je Perrien.

Službe za hitne slučajeve u New Orleansu priopćile su u nedjelju da su obustavile sve operacije jer je uragan Ida na kopnu.

"Operacije NOEMS-a obustavljene su zbog opasnih vjetrova", objavilo je ministarstvo u tvitu u nedjelju.

NOEMS je rekao da će se operacije nastaviti kada uvjeti budu sigurni za prve koji se jave.

Deseci tisuća stanovnika Louisiane pobjegli su u nedjelju iz te američke savezne države uoči dolaska Ide iz Meksičkog zaljeva.

Očekuje se da će Ida biti jedna od najjačih oluja koja je pogodila Louisianu u posljednjih 150 godina.

Trenutačno najveća izmjerena brzina vjetra iznosi 249 km/h i ako se poveća za samo 10 km/h, Ida će se pretvoriti u uragan pete kategorije.

Louisianu do sada nikad nije pogodio uragan te snage, a prije 16 godina devastirao ju je uragan Katrina kada je poginulo više od 1800 ljudi.  

Ida je već opustošila dio Kube, rušeći stabla i noseći krovove kuća, a na Jamajci je prouzročila obilnu kišu. Nema informacija o smrtno stradalima.

Uragan Ida kategorije 4 po jačini i brzinom vjetra od 240 km/h postao je najjači koji je ikada udario o obalu Louisiane u povijesti.

Ida se izjednačila s uraganom iz 1856. godine koji je s istom jačinom stigao na obalu te savezne američke države.

Louisiana je također postala prva savezna država koja je imala uragane s brzinom vjetra jačom od 240 km/h u dvije uzastopne godine. Lani je to bio uragan Laura.

Uragan Ida pogodio je u nedjelju američku državu Louisianu, jugozapadno od New Orleansa, kao uragan 4 stupnja, objavio je Nacionalni centar za uragane u Miamiju - piše Index.hr.

Donio je sa sobom maksimalne vjetrove od oko 240 kilometara na sat kada je pogodio obalu nakon prelaska Meksičkog zaljeva, dodao je NHC.

Uragani takve snage, jedan stupanj manje od najviše, obično uzrokuju katastrofalne posljedice, dodaje NHC, upozoravajući na visoku plimu i moguće poplave.

Nacionalni centar za uragane javlja da se ekstremno jaki vjetrovi šire po Louisiani. Podizanje razine mora uzrokovalo je poplave za koje Centar kaže da će biti životno ugrožavajuće još nekoliko sati.

Ida je pogodila obalu u blizini Fort Fourchon, šesnaest godina nakon uragana Katrina koji je devastirao to podru...
