UN-ova Visoka povjerenica za ljudska prava pozvala je u četvrtak mjanmarsku vojsku da prestane "ubijati i zatvarati prosvjednike" kojih je najmanje 54 izgubilo život, a više od 1700 je uhićeno nakon vojnog udara 1. veljače.

"Krajnje je gnusno da sigurnosne snage pravim metcima pucaju u mirne prosvjednike diljem zemlje. Ujedno sam zaprepaštena napadima na hitnu medicinsku službu i na vozila hitne pomoći koji su pokušavali pružiti pomoć ranjenima, o čemu postoji dokumentacija", rekla je Michelle Bachelet u priopćenju.

"Mjanmarska vojska mora prestati ubijati i zatvarati prosvjednike", dodala je bivša čileanska predsjednica koja je i sama bila mučena u zatvoru u svojoj domovini i čiji je otac, Alberto Bachelet, umro u zatvoru gdje su ga mučili.

Visoko povjereništvo ističe da ima provjerene informacije o tome da su policija i vojnici nakon državnog udara 1. veljače ubili najmanje 54 osobe. Stvarni broj mrtvih mogao bi biti veći, upozoravaju Ujedinjeni narodi.

Od ta 54 dokumentirana slučaja, najmanje 30 osoba je samo u srijedu ubijeno u više gradova. Još je jedna osoba ubijena u utorak, osamnaest u nedjelju i prije toga njih pet, navodi UN.

Usto, "vjerodostojne informacije govore da je najmanje stotinjak ljudi ranjeno u prosvjedima", ističe Visoko povjereništvo, napominjući da je teško utvrditi točan broj.

Više od 1700 ljudi je proizvoljno uhićeno i pritvoreno, među kojima samo u srijedu njih sedamsto, zbog sudjelovanja u prosvjedima i zbog političkog aktivizma, navodi UN.

Među njima su parlamentarni zastupnici, politički aktivisti, pisci, aktivisti za ljudska prava, učitelji, zdravstveni radnici, javni službenici, novinari i redovnici.

I tu UN-ovo tijelo ocjenjuje da je stvarni broj zatvorenih vjerojatno puno veći jer su se prosvjedi održali na više od 500 mjesta, "gdje nije uvijek bilo moguće pratiti tijek događaja".

"Velik broj uhićenja i proizvoljnih pritvaranja od 1. veljače može dati povoda za prisilni nestanak", upozorila je Bachelet pozivajući na trenutačno oslobađanje svih koji su proizvoljno pritvoreni.

UN-ova Visoka povjerenica za ljudska prava pozvala je u četvrtak mjanmarsku vojsku da prestane "ubijati i zatvarati prosvjednike" kojih je najmanje 54 izgubilo život, a više od 1700 je uhićeno nakon vojnog udara 1. veljače.

"Krajnje je gnusno da sigurnosne snage pravim metcima pucaju u mirne prosvjednike diljem zemlje. Ujedno sam zaprepaštena napadima na hitnu medicinsku službu i na vozila hitne pomoći koji su pokušavali pružiti pomoć ranjenima, o čemu postoji dokumentacija", rekla je Michelle Bachelet u priopćenju.

"Mjanmarska vojska mora prestati ubijati i zatvarati prosvjednike", dodala je bivša čileanska predsjednica koja je i sama bila mučena u zatvoru u svojoj domovini i čiji je otac, Alberto Bachelet, umro u zatvoru gdje su ga mučili.

Visoko povjereništvo ističe da ima provjerene informacije o tome da su policija i vojnici nakon državnog udara 1. veljače ubili najmanje 54 osobe. Stvarni broj mrtvih mogao bi biti veći, upozoravaju Ujedinjeni narodi.

Od ta 54 dokumentirana slučaja, najmanje 30 osoba je samo u srijedu ubijeno u više gradova. Još je jedna osoba ubijena u utorak, osamnaest u nedjelju i prije toga njih pet, navodi UN.

Usto, "vjerodostojne informacije govore da je najmanje stotinjak ljudi ranjeno u prosvjedima", ističe Visoko povjereništvo, napominjući da je teško utvrditi točan broj.

Više od 1700 ljudi je proizvoljno uhićeno i pritvoreno, među kojima samo u srijedu njih sedamsto, zbog sudjelovanja u prosvjedima i zbog političkog aktivizma, navodi UN.

Među njima su parlamentarni zastupnici, politički aktivisti, pisci, aktivisti za ljudska prava, učitelji, zdravstveni radnici, javni službenici, novinari i redovnici.

I tu UN-ovo tijelo ocjenjuje da je stvarni broj zatvorenih vjerojatno puno veći jer su se prosvjedi održali na više od 500 mjesta, "gdje nije uvijek bilo moguće pratiti tijek događaja".

"Velik broj uhićenja i proizvoljnih pritvaranja od 1. veljače može dati povoda za prisilni nestanak", upozorila je Bachelet pozivajući na trenutačno oslobađanje svih koji su proizvoljno pritvoreni.

UN-ova Visoka povjerenica za ljudska prava pozvala je u četvrtak mjanmarsku vojsku da prestane "ubijati i zatvarati prosvjednike" kojih je najmanje 54 izgubilo život, a više od 1700 je uhićeno nakon vojnog udara 1. veljače.

"Krajnje je gnusno da sigurnosne snage pravim metcima pucaju u mirne prosvjednike diljem zemlje. Ujedno sam zaprepaštena napadima na hitnu medicinsku službu i na vozila hitne pomoći koji su pokušavali pružiti pomoć ranjenima, o čemu postoji dokumentacija", rekla je Michelle Bachelet u priopćenju.

"Mjanmarska vojska mora prestati ubijati i zatvarati prosvjednike", dodala je bivša čileanska predsjednica koja je i sama bila mučena u zatvoru u svojoj domovini i čiji je otac, Alberto Bachelet, umro u zatvoru gdje su ga mučili.
