Indijske službe spašavanja gaje malo nade da će u srijedu, petoga dana potrage, pronaći živu dvanaestogodišnjakinju zatrpanu ispod smeća na odlagalištu na kojem je radila.

Neha Vasava skupljala je plastiku i metal na gomili otpada visokoj između 25 i 30 metara na odlagalištu Pirana u Ahmedabadu na zapadu zemlje, kada se u subotu navečer na nju srušila hrpa smeća.

Spasioci nastavljaju potragu među tonama otpada i psima lutalicama na tom odlagalištu površine oko 32 hektara.

Oko četiri milijuna Indijaca, među kojima puno djece, rade u opasnim i nezdravim uvjetima na odlagalištima kako bi skupili materijale koje mogu prodati. 

Šestogodišnjak koji je radio pokraj Nehe Vasave je spašen istog dana. 

Vatrogasni dužnosnik je rekao da koriste šest teških strojeva u potrazi koji dodatno otežava kiša.

"Nekoliko sati nakon što je zatrpana, počela je kiša koja je s vrha srušila još više smeća", rekao je. "Izgledi da ju pronađemo živu su neznatni, ali nastavljamo potrage".

Golemo odlagalište prima svakog dana oko 3500 tona smeća iz Ahmedabada, grada s 5,6 milijuna stanovnika. Nekoliko stotina obitelji žive tamo u krajnjem siromaštvu i preživljavaju prodajom otpada.

"Zarađujemo prodajom onoga što pronađemo na otpadu", objasnio je jedan od njih koji nema nikakvu zaštitu, čak ni masku.
Prema podacima UNICEF-a, više od 41 milijun djece mlađe od 12 godina prisiljeno je raditi u Južnoj Aziji. Stručnjaci drže da su mjere ograničenja kretanja određena tijekom pandemije koronavirusa, pogoršale problem dječjeg rada.

Indijske službe spašavanja gaje malo nade da će u srijedu, petoga dana potrage, pronaći živu dvanaestogodišnjakinju zatrpanu ispod smeća na odlagalištu na kojem je radila.

Neha Vasava skupljala je plastiku i metal na gomili otpada visokoj između 25 i 30 metara na odlagalištu Pirana u Ahmedabadu na zapadu zemlje, kada se u subotu navečer na nju srušila hrpa smeća.

Spasioci nastavljaju potragu među tonama otpada i psima lutalicama na tom odlagalištu površine oko 32 hektara.

Oko četiri milijuna Indijaca, među kojima puno djece, rade u opasnim i nezdravim uvjetima na odlagalištima kako bi skupili materijale koje mogu prodati. 

Šestogodišnjak koji je radio pokraj Nehe Vasave je spašen istog dana. 

Vatrogasni dužnosnik je rekao da koriste šest teških strojeva u potrazi koji dodatno otežava kiša.

"Nekoliko sati nakon što je zatrpana, počela je kiša koja je s vrha srušila još više smeća", rekao je. "Izgledi da ju pronađemo živu su neznatni, ali nastavljamo potrage".

Golemo odlagalište prima svakog dana oko 3500 tona smeća iz Ahmedabada, grada s 5,6 milijuna stanovnika. Nekoliko stotina obitelji žive tamo u krajnjem siromaštvu i preživljavaju prodajom otpada.

"Zarađujemo prodajom onoga što pronađemo na otpadu", objasnio je jedan od njih koji nema nikakvu zaštitu, čak ni masku.
Prema podacima UNICEF-a, više od 41 milijun djece mlađe od 12 godina prisiljeno je raditi u Južnoj Aziji. Stručnjaci drže da su mjere ograničenja kretanja određena tijekom pandemije koronavirusa, pogoršale problem dječjeg rada.

Indijske službe spašavanja gaje malo nade da će u srijedu, petoga dana potrage, pronaći živu dvanaestogodišnjakinju zatrpanu ispod smeća na odlagalištu na kojem je radila.

Neha Vasava skupljala je plastiku i metal na gomili otpada visokoj između 25 i 30 metara na odlagalištu Pirana u Ahmedabadu na zapadu zemlje, kada se u subotu navečer na nju srušila hrpa smeća.

Spasioci nastavljaju potragu među tonama otpada i psima lutalicama na tom odlagalištu površine oko 32 hektara.

Oko četiri milijuna Indijaca, među kojima puno djece, rade u opasnim i nezdravim uvjetima na odlagalištima kako bi skupili materijale koje mogu prodati. 

Šestogodišnjak koji je radio pokraj Nehe Vasave je spašen istog dana. 

Vatrogasni dužnosnik je rekao da koriste šest teških strojeva u potrazi...
