Za sifilis, spolno prenosivu bolest, mislio se da pripada prošlim vremenima i da je danas praktički iskorijenjena. A riječ je o opasnoj bolesti koja se prenosi nezaštićenim intimnim odnosom sa zaraženom osobom. Prvi znakovi te teške i po život opasne bolesti su promjene na koži, najčešće na genitalijama. Ako se ne liječi na vrijeme, poslije je puno teže, pa i nemoguće.

Nedavno su se, na iznenađenje liječnika, u Srbiji pojavili slučajevi sifilisa, kako je izvijestila Slobodna Dalmacija. A da to nažalost nisu izolirani slučajevi, potvrđuju i vijesti iz Sjedinjenih Američkih Država, posebno što se tiče kongenitalnoga sifilisa, kada se zaraza prenese s trudne majke na dijete. Ako se ne liječi, trudnica sa sifilisom ima 80 posto šanse da ga prenese na svoje dijete, a u otprilike 40 posto slučajeva te će trudnoće završiti pobačajem, kažu stručnjaci.

Pojava sifilisa iznenadila je i stručnjake

Žene sa sifilisom mogu primiti niz injekcija penicilina najmanje mjesec dana prije poroda kako bi spriječile prenošenje bolesti na svoje dijete. Novorođenčad s tom bolešću možda u početku neće pokazivati ​​simptome, ali bebe koje se ne liječe unutar tri mjeseca nakon rođenja mogu se suočiti s ozbiljnim zdravstvenim komplikacijama ili smrću. Bebe rođene sa sifilisom moraju ostati u bolnici dva tjedna nakon rođenja jer se penicilin daje intravenozno.

Nažalost kongenitalni sifilis u velikom je porastu u SAD-u. Posebno se prati najsiromašnija američka država Mississippi, gdje je kongenitalni sifilis u pet godina porastao za više od 900 posto. Godine 2000. u njoj je bilo 14 slučajeva, godinu poslije 10, dok su 2005. i 2006. bile s nula prijavljenih slučajeva. Međutim brojke su počele rasti 2019. godine, a pogoršale su se tijekom pandemije, dosegnuvši vrhunac 2021. s više od 100 prijavljenih slučajeva. Slučajevi sifilisa u cijelom SAD-u više su se nego udvostručili, s 941 u 2017. godini na najmanje 2677 u 2021., piše Daily Mail.

Dr. Thomas Dobbs, medicinski direktor Crossroads klinike Ministarstva zdravlja Mississippija u Jacksonu, otkrio je da je nevjerojatnih 102 novorođenčadi liječeno od spolno prenosive infekcije 2021. godine, u odnosu na samo deset 2016. godine. "Sifilis se čini kao nešto što se trebalo dogoditi prije sto godina, a ne lani", rekao je on.

U nekim okruzimaa u Mississippiju nedostaju opstetričari, zbog čega su trudnice prisiljene putovati često nepouzdanim javnim prijevozom. Mnoge moraju čekati tjednima na prvi prenatalni posjet. Da stvar bude gora, Ministarstvo zdravstva 2016. je zatvorilo devet županijskih zavoda za zdravstvo, a Mississippi je zatvorio posljednju preostalu neonatalnu intenzivnu njegu.

Mississippi ne zahtijeva prenatalne preglede, a od 2016. to je jedna od samo šest država bez zakona koji zahtijeva preglede na sifilis. Osim toga, Mississippi je već prije proglašen američkim glavnim gradom gonoreje i klamidije, s najvećom epidemijom gonoreje u zemlji pet godina zaredom i s otprilike jednim slučajem klamidije na svakih 124 ljudi i jednim slučajem sifilisa na svakih 1390 stanovnika.

Medicinski eksperti kao rješenje vide zapošljavanje više zdravstvenih stručnjaka, obučenih za spolno prenosive bolesti, uz poruku stanovnicima: Budite zaštićeni, testirajte se, liječite se i obavijestite svoje kontakte ako vam je dijagnosticirana spolno prenosiva bolest.‘, piše Daily Mail.

I u ovom slučaju čini se da vrijedi dijagnoza stanja prof. dr. Aleksandra Miloševića o uzrocima pojave sifilisa u Srbiji: "Porast zaraženih povezujem s ekonomskim padom, ali i s padom morala, porastom promiskuiteta i manjkom edukacije o intimnim odnosima", kako je pisao Mondo, a prenijela Slobodna Dalmacija.

Mogla bi se tome dodati i pretjerana štednja na stručnjacima i institucijama u zdravstvu, kao u slučaju Mississippija, što se može vidjeti i u Hrvatskoj.

Za sifilis, spolno prenosivu bolest, mislio se da pripada prošlim vremenima i da je danas praktički iskorijenjena. A riječ je o opasnoj bolesti koja se prenosi nezaštićenim intimnim odnosom sa zaraženom osobom. Prvi znakovi te teške i po život opasne bolesti su promjene na koži, najčešće na genitalijama. Ako se ne liječi na vrijeme, poslije je puno teže, pa i nemoguće.

Nedavno su se, na iznenađenje liječnika, u Srbiji pojavili slučajevi sifilisa, kako je izvijestila Slobodna Dalmacija. A da to nažalost nisu izolirani slučajevi, potvrđuju i vijesti iz Sjedinjenih Američkih Država, posebno što se tiče kongenitalnoga sifilisa, kada se zaraza prenese s trudne majke na dijete. Ako se ne liječi, trudnica sa sifilisom ima 80 posto šanse da ga prenese na svoje dijete, a u otprilike 40 posto slučajeva te će trudnoće završiti pobačajem, kažu stručnjaci.

Žene sa sifilisom mogu primiti niz injekcija penicilina najmanje mjesec dana prije poroda kako bi spriječile prenošenje bolesti na svoje dijete. Novorođenčad s tom bolešću možda u početku neće pokazivati ​​simptome, ali bebe koje se ne liječe unutar tri mjeseca nakon rođenja mogu se suočiti s ozbiljnim zdravstvenim komplikacijama ili smrću. Bebe rođene sa sifilisom moraju ostati u bolnici dva tjedna nakon rođenja jer se penicilin daje intravenozno.

Nažalost kongenitalni sifilis u velikom je porastu u SAD-u. Posebno se prati najsiromašnija američka država Mississippi, gdje je kongenitalni sifilis u pet godina porastao za više od 900 posto. Godine 2000. u njoj je bilo 14 slučajeva, godinu poslije 10, dok su 2005. i 2006. bile s nula prijavljenih slučajeva. Međutim brojke su počele rasti 2019. godine, a pogoršale su se tijekom pandemije, dosegnuvši vrhunac 2021. s više od 100 prijavljenih slučajeva. Slučajevi sifilisa u cijelom SAD-u više su se nego udvostručili, s 941 u 2017. godini na najmanje 2677 u 2021., piše Daily Mail.

Dr. Thomas Dobbs, medicinski direktor Crossroads klinike Ministarstva zdravlja Mississippija u Jacksonu, otkrio je da je nevjerojatnih 102 novorođenčadi liječeno od spolno prenosive infekcije 2021. godine, u odnosu na samo deset 2016. godine. "Sifilis se čini kao nešto što se trebalo dogoditi prije sto godina, a ne lani", rekao je on.

U nekim okruzimaa u Mississippiju nedostaju opstetričari, zbog čega su trudnice prisiljene putovati često nepouzdanim javnim prijevozom. Mnoge moraju čekati tjednima na prvi prenatalni posjet. Da stvar bude gora, Ministarstvo zdravstva 2016. je zatvorilo devet županijskih zavoda za zdravstvo, a Mississippi je zatvorio posljednju preostalu neonatalnu intenzivnu njegu.

Mississippi ne zahtijeva prenatalne preglede, a od 2016. to je jedna od samo šest država bez zakona koji zahtijeva preglede na sifilis. Osim toga, Mississippi je već prije proglašen američkim glavnim gradom gonoreje i klamidije, s najvećom epidemijom gonoreje u zemlji pet godina zaredom i s otprilike jednim slučajem klamidije na svakih 124 ljudi i jednim slučajem sifilisa na svakih 1390 stanovnika.

Medicinski eksperti kao rješenje vide zapošljavanje više zdravstvenih stručnjaka, obučenih za spolno prenosive bolesti, uz poruku stanovnicima: Budite zaštićeni, testirajte se, liječite se i obavijestite svoje kontakte ako vam je dijagnosticirana spolno prenosiva bolest.‘, piše Daily Mail.

I u ovom slučaju čini se da vrijedi dijagnoza stanja prof. dr. Aleksandra Miloševića o uzrocima pojave sifilisa u Srbiji: "Porast zaraženih povezujem s ekonomskim padom, ali i s padom morala, porastom promiskuiteta i manjkom edukacije o intimnim odnosima", kako je pisao Mondo, a prenijela Slobodna Dalmacija.

Mogla bi se tome dodati i pretjerana štednja na stručnjacima i institucijama u zdravstvu, kao u slučaju Mississippija, što se može vidjeti i u Hrvatskoj.
