Studija francuskih znanstvenika koja navodi da je jedan muškarac covidom-19 bio zaražen već 27. prosinca, gotovo mjesec dana prije potvrde prvih službenih slučajeva u Francuskoj, mogla bi se pokazati važna u procjeni kada i gdje se pojavio novi koranavirus, priopćili su u utorak stručnjaci.

Francuski znanstvenici predvođeni Yvesom Cohenom, šefom odjela za reanimaciju u dvjema bolnicama, ponovo su testirali uzorke 24 pacijenta koji su u prosincu i siječnju bili primljeni u bolnicu zbog zdravstvenih tegoba i bili su negativni na gripu, no tada nisu testirani na koronu jer se covid-19 tek kasnije razvio u pandemiju.

Rezultati objavljeni u stručnom časopisu International Journal of Antimicrobial Agents pokazali su da je jedan pacijent, 42-godišnji muškarac podrijerlom iz Alžira koji je u Francuskoj živio dugi niz godina i radio u ribarnici, bio inficiran covidom-19, "mjesec dana prije prvih službeno potvrđenih slučajeva".

Svjetska zdravstvena organizacija (WHO) je objavila da rezultati nisu iznenađujući te da je moguće da se pronađe još više takvih slučajeva,

WHO stoga preporučuje zemljama da provjere povijesti bolesti iz prosinca 2019. jer bi to moglo dati "novu i jasniju sliku" o pandemiji.

Cohen je kazao da je za sada prerano reći da li je taj muškarac, čiji je zadnji posjet Alžiru bio u kolovozu prošle godine, francuski "nulti pacijent".

Ali, kako je istaknuo, identificiranje prvog zaraženog pacijenta je od velikog epidemiološkog interesa jer dramatično mijenja našu spoznaju o SARS-CoV-2 i širenju virusa u zemlji.

Prema znanstvenicima, izostanak poveznice s Kinom i zastoj putovanja u posljednjim mjesecima ukazuje da se bolest među francuskim stanovništvom širila već krajem prosinca.

Prvi službeni slučajevi zaraze u Francuskoj potvrđeni su 24. siječnja. Od covida-19 je u toj zemlji umrlo 25.000 ljudi.
Rowland Kao, profesor veterinarske epidemiologije sveučilišta u Edinburghu, pojašnjava da ako se taj muškarac i potvrdi kao "nulti pacijent" to ne znači da je širenje covida-19 počelo već tako rano.

"Ali taj slučaj, ako se potvrdi, jasno pokazuje brzinu kojom infekcija, koja je krenula u naizgled udaljenom dijelu svijeta, može u trenu posijati zaraze negdje drugdje", rekao je Kao.

Studija francuskih znanstvenika koja navodi da je jedan muškarac covidom-19 bio zaražen već 27. prosinca, gotovo mjesec dana prije potvrde prvih službenih slučajeva u Francuskoj, mogla bi se pokazati važna u procjeni kada i gdje se pojavio novi koranavirus, priopćili su u utorak stručnjaci.

Francuski znanstvenici predvođeni Yvesom Cohenom, šefom odjela za reanimaciju u dvjema bolnicama, ponovo su testirali uzorke 24 pacijenta koji su u prosincu i siječnju bili primljeni u bolnicu zbog zdravstvenih tegoba i bili su negativni na gripu, no tada nisu testirani na koronu jer se covid-19 tek kasnije razvio u pandemiju.

Rezultati objavljeni u stručnom časopisu International Journal of Antimicrobial Agents pokazali su da je jedan pacijent, 42-godišnji muškarac podrijerlom iz Alžira koji je u Francuskoj živio dugi niz godina i radio u ribarnici, bio inficiran covidom-19, "mjesec dana prije prvih službeno potvrđenih slučajeva".

Svjetska zdravstvena organizacija (WHO) je objavila da rezultati nisu iznenađujući te da je moguće da se pronađe još više takvih slučajeva,

WHO stoga preporučuje zemljama da provjere povijesti bolesti iz prosinca 2019. jer bi to moglo dati "novu i jasniju sliku" o pandemiji.

Cohen je kazao da je za sada prerano reći da li je taj muškarac, čiji je zadnji posjet Alžiru bio u kolovozu prošle godine, francuski "nulti pacijent".

Ali, kako je istaknuo, identificiranje prvog zaraženog pacijenta je od velikog epidemiološkog interesa jer dramatično mijenja našu spoznaju o SARS-CoV-2 i širenju virusa u zemlji.

Prema znanstvenicima, izostanak poveznice s Kinom i zastoj putovanja u posljednjim mjesecima ukazuje da se bolest među francuskim stanovništvom širila već krajem prosinca.

Prvi službeni slučajevi zaraze u Francuskoj potvrđeni su 24. siječnja. Od covida-19 je u toj zemlji umrlo 25.000 ljudi.
Rowland Kao, profesor veterinarske epidemiologije sveučilišta u Edinburghu, pojašnjava da ako se taj muškarac i potvrdi kao "nulti pacijent" to ne znači da je širenje covida-19 počelo već tako rano.

"Ali taj slučaj, ako se potvrdi, jasno pokazuje brzinu kojom infekcija, koja je krenula u naizgled udaljenom dijelu svijeta, može u trenu posijati zaraze negdje drugdje", rekao je Kao.

Rani slučaj covida-19 u Francuskoj mogao bi rasvijetliti početak pandemije: liječnici otkrili da je jedan pacijent bio inficiran još u prosincu

Studija francuskih znanstvenika koja navodi da je jedan muškarac covidom-19 bio zaražen već 27. prosinca, gotovo mjesec dana prije potvrde prvih službenih slučajeva u Francuskoj, mogla bi se pokazati važna u procjeni kada i gdje se pojavio novi koranavirus, priopćili su u utorak stručnjaci.

Francuski znanstvenici predvođeni Yvesom Cohenom, šefom odjela za reanimaciju u dvjema bolnicama, ponovo su testirali uzorke 24 pacijenta koji su u prosincu i siječnju bili primljeni u bolnicu zbog zdravstvenih tegoba i bili su negativni na gripu, no tada nisu testirani na koronu jer se covid-19 tek kasnije razvio u pandemiju.
