Potres jačine 4,8 stupnjevapo Richteru potresao je grad New York i okolicu u petak ujutro po lokalnom vremenu, javlja CBS.

Epicentar potresa bio je u blizini Lebanona, New Jersey, oko 65 kilometara zapadno od New Yorka, objavio je tamošnji geološki zavod.

Potres se osjetio od Philadelphije i New Jerseyja pa do New Yorka, Connecticuta i okruga Westchestera.

Zasad još nema izvješća o ozlijeđenima i nastaloj šteti.

Guvernerka države New Yorka Kathy Hochul rekla je da se potres osjetio u cijelom New Yorku.

‘Moj tim procjenjuje posljedice i eventualnu štetu koja je nastala, a javnost ćemo o svemu obavijestiti tijekom dana‘, napisala je na društvenim mrežama.

‘Bilo je jako glasno. Istrčao sam iz svog ureda jer sam se bojao da bi se zgrada mogla srušiti ako se pogorša.‘

‘Nije bilo štete, ali svi ljudi u kući bili su na drugom katu i cijela se kuća tresla, a nekoliko stvari je palo s polica.‘

‘Probudila me jako glasna buka i krevet mi se tresao.‘

‘Kuća se tresla oko 10 sekundi.‘

‘Cijela mi se kuća tresla. Mislio sam da će eksplodirati. Srećom, nije bilo štete, ali je snaga bila vrlo intenzivna i šokantna. Nadam se da neće biti gore!‘

‘U Bridgewateru blizu Bound Brooka, cijela mi se kuća tresla, knjige pale s polica za knjige, perilica i sušilica dolje pomicale su se naprijed-natrag. Morao sam se držati kako bih održao ravnotežu. Trajalo je valjda 30 sekundi.‘

‘Pristojno podrhtavanje ali je trajalo svega nekoliko sekundi intenzivno, a zatim je trajalo uz manje podrhtavanje oko 10-15 sekundi. Ništa nije palo, ali mislim da bi da je bilo samo malo jače.‘

Povijest potresa

Ovo nije prvi put da je istočnu obalu SAD-a i grad New York pogodio potres. U New Yorku je 1884. zabilježen potres jačine 5,0.

U New Jerseyju postoji velika rasjedna linija koja se zove Ramapo rasjed, koja potječe iz Apalačkih planina, a postoji još najmanje pet manjih rasjednih linija ispod otoka Manhattana.

Potres se dogodio samo nekoliko mjeseci nakon što je USGS upozorio da bi gotovo 75 posto područja Sjedinjenih Država mogli pogoditi potresi u sljedećih 100 godina.

Godine 2011. potres jačine 5,8 pogodio je Virginiju i potresao cijelu istočnu obalu - piše Jutarnji list.

Potres jačine 4,8 stupnjevapo Richteru potresao je grad New York i okolicu u petak ujutro po lokalnom vremenu, javlja CBS.

Epicentar potresa bio je u blizini Lebanona, New Jersey, oko 65 kilometara zapadno od New Yorka, objavio je tamošnji geološki zavod.

Potres se osjetio od Philadelphije i New Jerseyja pa do New Yorka, Connecticuta i okruga Westchestera.

Zasad još nema izvješća o ozlijeđenima i nastaloj šteti.

Guvernerka države New Yorka Kathy Hochul rekla je da se potres osjetio u cijelom New Yorku.

‘Moj tim procjenjuje posljedice i eventualnu štetu koja je nastala, a javnost ćemo o svemu obavijestiti tijekom dana‘, napisala je na društvenim mrežama.

Na stranici EMSC-a stanovnici pogođenog područja ostavljaju svoja svjedočanstva:

‘Bilo je jako glasno. Istrčao sam iz svog ureda jer sam se bojao da bi se zgrada mogla srušiti ako se pogorša.‘

‘Nije bilo štete, ali svi ljudi u kući bili su na drugom katu i cijela se kuća tresla, a nekoliko stvari je palo s polica.‘

‘Probudila me jako glasna buka i krevet mi se tresao.‘

‘Kuća se tresla oko 10 sekundi.‘

‘Cijela mi se kuća tresla. Mislio sam da će eksplodirati. Srećom, nije bilo štete, ali je snaga bila vrlo intenzivna i šokantna. Nadam se da neće biti gore!‘

‘U Bridgewateru blizu Bound Brooka, cijela mi se kuća tresla, knjige pale s polica za knjige, perilica i sušilica dolje pomicale su se naprijed-natrag. Morao sam se držati kako bih održao ravnotežu. Trajalo je valjda 30 sekundi.‘

‘Pristojno podrhtavanje ali je trajalo svega nekoliko sekundi intenzivno, a zatim je trajalo uz manje podrhtavanje oko 10-15 sekundi. Ništa nije palo, ali mislim da bi da je bilo samo malo jače.‘

Povijest potresa

Ovo nije prvi put da je istočnu obalu SAD-a i grad New York pogodio potres. U New Yorku je 1884. zabilježen potres jačine 5,0.

U New Jerseyju postoji velika rasjedna linija koja se zove Ramapo rasjed, koja potječe iz Apalačkih planina, a postoji još najmanje pet manjih rasjednih linija ispod otoka Manhattana.

Potres se dogodio samo nekoliko mjeseci nakon što je USGS upozorio da bi gotovo 75 posto područja Sjedinjenih Država mogli pogoditi potresi u sljedećih 100 godina.

Godine 2011. potres jačine 5,8 pogodio je Virginiju i potresao cijelu istočnu obalu - piše Jutarnji list.

Potres jačine 4,8 po Richteru zatresao New York!

Potres jačine 4,8 stupnjevapo Richteru potresao je grad New York i okolicu u petak ujutro po lokalnom vremenu, javlja CBS.

Epicentar potresa bio je u blizini Lebanona, New Jersey, oko 65 kilometara zapadno od New Yorka, objavio je tamošnji geološki zavod.

Potres se osjetio od Philadelphije i New Jerseyja pa do New Yorka, Connecticuta i okruga Westchestera.

Zasad još nema izvješća o ozlijeđenima i nastaloj šteti.

Guvernerka države New Yorka Kathy Hochul rekla je da se potres osjetio u cijelom New Yorku.

‘Moj tim procjenjuje posljedice i eventualnu štetu koja je nastala, a javnost ćemo o svemu obavijestiti tijekom dana‘, napisala je na društvenim mrežama.

Na stranici EMSC-a stanovnici pogođenog područja ostavljaju svoja svjedočanstva:

‘Bilo je jako glasno. Istrčao sam iz svog ureda jer sam se bojao da bi se zgrada mogla srušiti ako se pogorša.‘

‘Nije bilo štete, ali svi ljudi u kući bili su na drugom katu i cijela se kuća tresla, a nekoliko stvari je palo s polica.‘

‘Probudila me jako glasna buka i krevet mi se tresao.‘

‘Kuća se tresla oko 10 sekundi.‘

‘Cijela mi se kuća tresla. Mislio sam da će eksplodirati. Srećom, nije bilo štete, ali je snaga bila vrlo intenzivna i šokantna. Nadam se da neće biti gore!‘

‘U Bridgewateru blizu Bound Brooka, cijela mi se kuća tresla, knjige pale s polica za knjige, perilica i sušilica dolje pomicale su se naprijed-natrag. Morao sam se držati kako bih održao ravnotežu. Trajalo je valjda 30 sekundi.‘

‘Pristojno podrhtavanje ali je trajalo svega nekoliko sekundi intenzivno, a zatim je trajalo uz manje podrhtavanje oko 10-15 sekundi. Ništa nije palo, ali mislim da bi da je bilo samo malo jače.‘

Povijest potresa

Ovo nije prvi put da je istočnu obalu SAD-a i grad New York pogodio potres. U New Yorku je 1884. zabilježen potres jačine 5,0.

U New Jerseyju postoji velika rasjedna linija koja se zove Ramapo rasjed, koja potječe iz Apalačkih planina, a postoji još najmanje pet manjih rasjednih linija ispod otoka Manhattana.

Potres se dogodio samo nekoliko mjeseci nakon što je USGS upozorio da bi gotovo 75 posto područja Sjedinjenih Država mogli pogoditi potresi u sljedećih 100 godina.

Godine 2011. potres jačine 5,8 pogodio je Virginiju i potresao cijelu istočnu obalu - piše Jutarnji list.
