Bijela kuća proglasila je novu uličnu drogu zbog koje ovisnicima trune koža "rastućom prijetnjom naciji."

Dosad neviđena najava američkog ureda za nacionalnu kontrolu i politiku prema drogama oslikava alarmantnu brzinu kojom se droga, naziva Tranq, širi SAD-om, prenosi Sky News, prenosi N1.

Tranq je mješavina opioida fentanila i Xylazinea, droge za omamljivanje životinja, a munjevitom brzinom se proširila po ulicama Philadelphije, o čemu je Sky News izvijestio prošli mjesec. Podaci pokazuju da se droga otada proširila po čitavoj zemlji.

Razgovarajući s novinarima, čelnik ureda za kontrolu i politiku prema drogama dr. Rahul Gupta izrazio je zabrinutost zbog širenja ovog opasnog koktela.

"Duboko sam zabrinut zbog prijetnje koju ovo predstavlja za naciju," rekao je, dodavši: "Ovo je prvi put u povijesti zemlje da neka administracija drogu proglašava rastućom prijetnjom."

U posebnom izvještaju snimljenom prošli mjesec, Sky News je proučio posljedice koje droga ostavlja na zajednice na sjeveroistoku Philadelphije, odakle droga potiče.

Volonteri i bolničari novinarima Sky News pokazali su stravične rane koje nastaju od ove droge koja se puši, ubrizgava ili šmrče. Rane se pojavljuju bilo gdje na tijelu. Često su duboke, zarastaju sporo, a u mnogim slučajevima dolazi i do amputacije.

Zdravstveni dužnosnici u Philadelphiji prošli mjesec su priznali da nemaju kontrolu nad krizom i upozorili da bi se ona mogla proširiti i drugim dijelovima zemlje. Novi podaci pokazuju porast slučajeva predoziranja od čak 1000 posto koji se povezuju s Tranqom u saveznim državama na jugu zemlje, što sugerira da se Tranq širi zastrašujućom brzinom.

SAD se već pokušava nositi s krizom predoziranja opioidom fentanilom, a slučajevi predoziranja penju se na više od 100.000 godišnje.

Dileri su počeli miješati fentanil s Xylazineom, stvarajući koktel Tranq kako bi smanjili cijenu i povećali potražnju. Korisnici su Sky Newsu rekli da koktel povećava razine ovisnosti, zbog čega drogu moraju uzimati nekoliko puta dnevno.

Dužnosnici Bijele kuće službeno su obavijestili američki Kongres o prijetnji javnom zdravlju u srijedu, rekavši da će u sljedećih 90 dana objaviti plan za rješavanje ove krize. Mjere će vjerojatno uključivati češće testiranje ovisnika kako bi se otkrilo je li Xylazine prisutan u drogi koju uzimaju. Dr. Gupta je također pozvao na povećanje sredstava kako bi ovisnici imati pristup liječenju.

U Philadelphiji, ovisnici kažu da adekvatno liječenje nije lako dostupno. Situaciju značajno komplicira i američki zdravstveni sustav.

Xylazine je dilerima lako dostupan na tržištu. Ovu supstancu legalno koriste veterinari kao sredstvo za uspavljivanje životinja. Savez za politiku prema drogama promovira pristup za smanjenje štete, no također naglašavaju štetu koju može proizvesti zabrana droga.

"Administracija Joe Bidena mora naučiti iz grešaka iz prošlosti," rekli su iz Saveza za Sky News. "Agresivni pristup problemu opioida koji se dobivaju na recept, kao i heroina, stvorio je uvjete za rast upotrebe fentanila i njemu sličnih supstanci, koje su potom preuzele tržište. Sada se povijest ponavlja. Dolaze nove, potencijalno još štetnije supstance poput Xylazinea i već su počele preuzimati neka tržišta."

Bijela kuća proglasila je novu uličnu drogu zbog koje ovisnicima trune koža "rastućom prijetnjom naciji."

Dosad neviđena najava američkog ureda za nacionalnu kontrolu i politiku prema drogama oslikava alarmantnu brzinu kojom se droga, naziva Tranq, širi SAD-om, prenosi Sky News, prenosi N1.

Tranq je mješavina opioida fentanila i Xylazinea, droge za omamljivanje životinja, a munjevitom brzinom se proširila po ulicama Philadelphije, o čemu je Sky News izvijestio prošli mjesec. Podaci pokazuju da se droga otada proširila po čitavoj zemlji.

Razgovarajući s novinarima, čelnik ureda za kontrolu i politiku prema drogama dr. Rahul Gupta izrazio je zabrinutost zbog širenja ovog opasnog koktela.

"Duboko sam zabrinut zbog prijetnje koju ovo predstavlja za naciju," rekao je, dodavši: "Ovo je prvi put u povijesti zemlje da neka administracija drogu proglašava rastućom prijetnjom."

U posebnom izvještaju snimljenom prošli mjesec, Sky News je proučio posljedice koje droga ostavlja na zajednice na sjeveroistoku Philadelphije, odakle droga potiče.

Volonteri i bolničari novinarima Sky News pokazali su stravične rane koje nastaju od ove droge koja se puši, ubrizgava ili šmrče. Rane se pojavljuju bilo gdje na tijelu. Često su duboke, zarastaju sporo, a u mnogim slučajevima dolazi i do amputacije.

Zdravstveni dužnosnici u Philadelphiji prošli mjesec su priznali da nemaju kontrolu nad krizom i upozorili da bi se ona mogla proširiti i drugim dijelovima zemlje. Novi podaci pokazuju porast slučajeva predoziranja od čak 1000 posto koji se povezuju s Tranqom u saveznim državama na jugu zemlje, što sugerira da se Tranq širi zastrašujućom brzinom.

SAD se već pokušava nositi s krizom predoziranja opioidom fentanilom, a slučajevi predoziranja penju se na više od 100.000 godišnje.

Dileri su počeli miješati fentanil s Xylazineom, stvarajući koktel Tranq kako bi smanjili cijenu i povećali potražnju. Korisnici su Sky Newsu rekli da koktel povećava razine ovisnosti, zbog čega drogu moraju uzimati nekoliko puta dnevno.

Dužnosnici Bijele kuće službeno su obavijestili američki Kongres o prijetnji javnom zdravlju u srijedu, rekavši da će u sljedećih 90 dana objaviti plan za rješavanje ove krize. Mjere će vjerojatno uključivati češće testiranje ovisnika kako bi se otkrilo je li Xylazine prisutan u drogi koju uzimaju. Dr. Gupta je također pozvao na povećanje sredstava kako bi ovisnici imati pristup liječenju.

U Philadelphiji, ovisnici kažu da adekvatno liječenje nije lako dostupno. Situaciju značajno komplicira i američki zdravstveni sustav.

Xylazine je dilerima lako dostupan na tržištu. Ovu supstancu legalno koriste veterinari kao sredstvo za uspavljivanje životinja. Savez za politiku prema drogama promovira pristup za smanjenje štete, no također naglašavaju štetu koju može proizvesti zabrana droga.

"Administracija Joe Bidena mora naučiti iz grešaka iz prošlosti," rekli su iz Saveza za Sky News. "Agresivni pristup problemu opioida koji se dobivaju na recept, kao i heroina, stvorio je uvjete za rast upotrebe fentanila i njemu sličnih supstanci, koje su potom preuzele tržište. Sada se povijest ponavlja. Dolaze nove, potencijalno još štetnije supstance poput Xylazinea i već su počele preuzimati neka tržišta."

"Budite sigurni, fokusiranje isključivo na opskrbu samo će pogoršati ovu krizu i neizbježno rezultirati još većim gubitkom života," upozorili su.

Bijela kuća proglasila je novu uličnu drogu zbog koje ovisnicima trune koža "rastućom prijetnjom naciji."

Dosad neviđena najava američkog ureda za nacionalnu kontrolu i politiku prema drogama oslikava alarmantnu brzinu kojom se droga, naziva Tranq, širi SAD-om, prenosi Sky News, prenosi N1.

Tranq je mješavina opioida fentanila i Xylazinea, droge za omamljivanje životinja, a munjevitom brzinom se proširila po ulicama Philadelphije, o čemu je Sky News izvijestio prošli mjesec. Podaci pokazuju da se droga otada proširila po čitavoj zemlji.

Razgovarajući s novinarima, čelnik ureda za kontrolu i politiku prema drogama dr. Rahul Gupta izrazio je zabrinutost zbog širenja ovog opasnog koktela.
