Čini se da se pojavio novi soj koronavirusa koji je spoj dvije zaraznije varijante  – britanske i indijske.

Kako izvještava BBC soj je otkriven u Vijetnamu, a tamošnji ministar zdravstva Nguyen Thanh Long izjavio je kako je nova mutacija vrlo opasna.

Nakon uspješnog suzbijanja pandemije koronavirusa veći dio prošle godine, Vijetnam se sad bori sa novim sojem koji se brže širi. Posljednjih tjedana zabilježili su skok zaraze, a više od polovice ukupno registriranih slučajeva COVID-a u zemlji zabilježen je od konca travnja ove godine.

"Vijetnam je otkrio novu varijantu SARS-CoV-2 virusa koja kombinira karakteristike dvije postojeće varijante prvi put pronađene u Indiji i Velikoj Britaniji. Lakše se širi od dosadašnjih, a otkrivena je sekvenciranjem genoma na novozaraženim pacijentima – naveo je vijetnamski ministar zdravstva te dodao da se virus vrlo brzo replicira zbog čega im se u kratkom vremenu pojavilo dosta novih slučajeva na različitim lokacijama.

"Preciznije rečeno to je indijska varijanta s mutacijama koja izvorno pripada britanskoj varijanti", rekao je Long te naveo kako takva mutacija indijske inačice još nije zabilježena, pa ju je potrebno dodatno istražiti.

Dosadašnja klinička istraživanja sugeriraju da su sadašnja cjepiva učinkovita protiv indijske varijante nakon dvije doze.

Kao i kod izvorne varijante, rizik je i dalje najveći za osobe starije životne dobi i one sa značajnim komorbiditetima.

Čini se da se pojavio novi soj koronavirusa koji je spoj dvije zaraznije varijante  – britanske i indijske.

Kako izvještava BBC soj je otkriven u Vijetnamu, a tamošnji ministar zdravstva Nguyen Thanh Long izjavio je kako je nova mutacija vrlo opasna.

Nakon uspješnog suzbijanja pandemije koronavirusa veći dio prošle godine, Vijetnam se sad bori sa novim sojem koji se brže širi. Posljednjih tjedana zabilježili su skok zaraze, a više od polovice ukupno registriranih slučajeva COVID-a u zemlji zabilježen je od konca travnja ove godine.

"Vijetnam je otkrio novu varijantu SARS-CoV-2 virusa koja kombinira karakteristike dvije postojeće varijante prvi put pronađene u Indiji i Velikoj Britaniji. Lakše se širi od dosadašnjih, a otkrivena je sekvenciranjem genoma na novozaraženim pacijentima – naveo je vijetnamski ministar zdravstva te dodao da se virus vrlo brzo replicira zbog čega im se u kratkom vremenu pojavilo dosta novih slučajeva na različitim lokacijama.

"Preciznije rečeno to je indijska varijanta s mutacijama koja izvorno pripada britanskoj varijanti", rekao je Long te naveo kako takva mutacija indijske inačice još nije zabilježena, pa ju je potrebno dodatno istražiti.

Dosadašnja klinička istraživanja sugeriraju da su sadašnja cjepiva učinkovita protiv indijske varijante nakon dvije doze.

Kao i kod izvorne varijante, rizik je i dalje najveći za osobe starije životne dobi i one sa značajnim komorbiditetima.

Otkriven novi soj koronavirusa: riječ je o kombinaciji indijske varijante s onom britanskom

Čini se da se pojavio novi soj koronavirusa koji je spoj dvije zaraznije varijante  – britanske i indijske.

Kako izvještava BBC soj je otkriven u Vijetnamu, a tamošnji ministar zdravstva Nguyen Thanh Long izjavio je kako je nova mutacija vrlo opasna.

Nakon uspješnog suzbijanja pandemije koronavirusa veći dio prošle godine, Vijetnam se sad bori sa novim sojem koji se brže širi. Posljednjih tjedana zabilježili su skok zaraze, a više od polovice ukupno registriranih slučajeva COVID-a u zemlji zabilježen je od konca travnja ove godine.
