"Ne osjećam se dobro", kaže Jenni Bruns (36). Kao i svi u Njemačkoj, i ona je na vijestima gledala ulazak talibana u Kabul. Bruns je kao vojnikinja Bundeswehra bila na sjeveru Afganistana 2010., gdje se brinula o pristupu pitkoj vodi. Preživjela je napade talibana, dok su oko nje njezini suborci ginuli.

Kad se vratila u Njemačku, razvila je posttraumatski stresni poremećaj. To joj je donijelo noćne more, nesanicu, napade panike. "Za tu misiju sam žrtvovala zdravlje", kaže ona danas.

Sada ju teško muči to što su talibani tako brzo poništili sve što su međunarodne postrojbe pokušavale izgraditi tokom dva desetljeća. "Trenutno se borim s enormnim porastom broja flashbackova i nesanicom", kaže ona. "Vidim krv, osjećam vrućinu i okus pijeska na jeziku", priča njemačka veteranka. Ona još uvijek ide na terapije, piše Nina Werkhäuser za Deutsche Welle.

U tome nikako nije usamljena. "Propast međunarodne vojne misije vraća traumatizirane osobe mnogo koraka unazad", kaže nam Bernhard Drescher. On je sam tri puta bio u misijama na prostoru bivše Jugoslavije, a danas vodi Savez njemačkih veterana.

Telefoni u tom Savezu neprestano zvone otkako je Afganistan ponovo pao u šake talibana. "Postavljaju pitanje smisla. Je li sve bilo uzalud?", priča Drescher. Kaže, to je "oluja emocija" koju doživljava velik broj od ukupno 160.000 njemačkih vojnikinja i vojnika koji su se smjenjivali u Afganistanu.

Pouke i za misiju u Maliju

Drescher ističe da osjećaj uzaludnosti osobne žrtve može uništiti sav napredak koji su veterani postigli uz pomoć terapija. Njegovi volonteri su spremni u roku od 48 sati osobno posjetiti svakog veterana koji ima potrebu za razgovorom.

Jenni Bruns se također osjeća bolje kada razgovara o svojim osjećajima ili zapisuje misli. Trenutno najviše osjeća bijes. Povlačenje trupa iz Afganistana smatra "sasvim preuranjenim" i "nepromišljenim". "To što talibani sada idu od kuće do kuće ostavlja me bez riječi, beskrajno tužnu i bijesnu", kaže ona.

Ne vidi smisla u svemu što je rađeno. "Naravno da se pitam i to je li 59 njemačkih vojnika uzalud palo u Afganistanu?"

Bilo je planirano da se o tome pokrene velika rasprava u njemačkom Ministarstvu obrane, da se okupe političari, stručnjaci i vojnici. No sve je otkazano zbog iznenadnog pada Kabula. Bruns se sada nada da će se uskoro nemilosrdno podvući crta i izvući pouke za druge misije, poput one koja još uvijek traje u Maliju.

Prema Ministarstvu obrane, prošle godine je kod 300 veterana koji su bili u Afganistanu utvrđeno neko psihičko oboljenje. U tom ministarstvunavode da se na njihov telefon, otvoren non-stop za traumatizirane veterane, ne javlja više ljudi nego inače.

Drukčije iskustvo imaju u Savezu veterana. Bernhard Drescher je uvjeren da će afganistanski fijasko još dugo pratiti Njemačku. "Prema našim iskustvima, obično traje pet do sedam godina prije nego što se ljudi jave i zatraže pomoć. To znači da će misija u Afganistanu stići do nas u još jednom valu.", piše Deutsche Welle.

"Ne osjećam se dobro", kaže Jenni Bruns (36). Kao i svi u Njemačkoj, i ona je na vijestima gledala ulazak talibana u Kabul. Bruns je kao vojnikinja Bundeswehra bila na sjeveru Afganistana 2010., gdje se brinula o pristupu pitkoj vodi. Preživjela je napade talibana, dok su oko nje njezini suborci ginuli.

Kad se vratila u Njemačku, razvila je posttraumatski stresni poremećaj. To joj je donijelo noćne more, nesanicu, napade panike. "Za tu misiju sam žrtvovala zdravlje", kaže ona danas.

Sada ju teško muči to što su talibani tako brzo poništili sve što su međunarodne postrojbe pokušavale izgraditi tokom dva desetljeća. "Trenutno se borim s enormnim porastom broja flashbackova i nesanicom", kaže ona. "Vidim krv, osjećam vrućinu i okus pijeska na jeziku", priča njemačka veteranka. Ona još uvijek ide na terapije, piše Nina Werkhäuser za Deutsche Welle.

U tome nikako nije usamljena. "Propast međunarodne vojne misije vraća traumatizirane osobe mnogo koraka unazad", kaže nam Bernhard Drescher. On je sam tri puta bio u misijama na prostoru bivše Jugoslavije, a danas vodi Savez njemačkih veterana.

Telefoni u tom Savezu neprestano zvone otkako je Afganistan ponovo pao u šake talibana. "Postavljaju pitanje smisla. Je li sve bilo uzalud?", priča Drescher. Kaže, to je "oluja emocija" koju doživljava velik broj od ukupno 160.000 njemačkih vojnikinja i vojnika koji su se smjenjivali u Afganistanu.

Pouke i za misiju u Maliju

Drescher ističe da osjećaj uzaludnosti osobne žrtve može uništiti sav napredak koji su veterani postigli uz pomoć terapija. Njegovi volonteri su spremni u roku od 48 sati osobno posjetiti svakog veterana koji ima potrebu za razgovorom.

Jenni Bruns se također osjeća bolje kada razgovara o svojim osjećajima ili zapisuje misli. Trenutno najviše osjeća bijes. Povlačenje trupa iz Afganistana smatra "sasvim preuranjenim" i "nepromišljenim". "To što talibani sada idu od kuće do kuće ostavlja me bez riječi, beskrajno tužnu i bijesnu", kaže ona.

Ne vidi smisla u svemu što je rađeno. "Naravno da se pitam i to je li 59 njemačkih vojnika uzalud palo u Afganistanu?"

Bilo je planirano da se o tome pokrene velika rasprava u njemačkom Ministarstvu obrane, da se okupe političari, stručnjaci i vojnici. No sve je otkazano zbog iznenadnog pada Kabula. Bruns se sada nada da će se uskoro nemilosrdno podvući crta i izvući pouke za druge misije, poput one koja još uvijek traje u Maliju.

Prema Ministarstvu obrane, prošle godine je kod 300 veterana koji su bili u Afganistanu utvrđeno neko psihičko oboljenje. U tom ministarstvunavode da se na njihov telefon, otvoren non-stop za traumatizirane veterane, ne javlja više ljudi nego inače.

Drukčije iskustvo imaju u Savezu veterana. Bernhard Drescher je uvjeren da će afganistanski fijasko još dugo pratiti Njemačku. "Prema našim iskustvima, obično traje pet do sedam godina prije nego što se ljudi jave i zatraže pomoć. To znači da će misija u Afganistanu stići do nas u još jednom valu.", piše Deutsche Welle.
