Tri visokopozicionirana člana saudijske kraljevske obitelji, uključujući i kraljevog brata, uhićeni su iz neobjašnjenih razloga, piše BBC.

Druga dvojica uhićenih su vrlo visoko pozicionirane i utjecajne osobe, a uhićenja se dovode u vezu s prestolonasljednikom i de facto saudijskim vladarom Mohammedom bin Salmanom.

Godine 2017. desecima osoba blisko povezanih s dvorom, uključujući i neke ministre i poslovne ljude, određeno je obavezno zadržavanje u hotelu Ritz-Carlton u Rijadu nakon što je princ bin Salman naredio njihovo uhićenje.

Mohammed bin Salman smatra se pravim vladarem Saudijske Arabije nakon što ga je otac proglasio prestolonasljednikom 2016. godine. Uhićenja su se dogodila u petak ujutro, objavili su New York Times i Wall Street Journal.

Uhićeni muškarci su kraljev mlađi brat princ Ahmed bin Abdulaziz, bivši prestolonasljednik Mohammed bin Nayef i kraljev rođak, princ Nawaf bin Nayef.

Mohammed bin Nayef je bio ministar unutarnjih poslova sve dok nije 2017. maknut s te funkcije i stavljen u kućni pritvor po naredbi Mohammeda bin Salmana, prenosi Jutarnji list.

Po uhićene su došli naoružani stražari obučeni u crno i s maskama na licu te pretražili njihove domove, piše Wall Street Journal.

Mohammed bin Salman dobio je pohvale svjetske javnosti kad je 2016. obećao niz ekonomskih i društvenih reformi u ovoj duboko konzervativnoj zemlji. Međutim, od 2018. je upleten u niz skandala uključujući i ubojstvo saudijskog novinara Jamala Khashoggija u saudijskoj ambasadi u Istanbulu 2018.

Posljednjih dana Saudijska Arabija poduzima mjere kako bi spriječila širenje koronavirusa.

Stranim državljanima zabranjen je ulazak u zemlju radi  Umraha, tradicionalnog hodočašća, a upitno je i hoće li se održati ovogodišnji tradicionalni Hadž.

U utorak je muslimanski najsvetiji grad Meka posve ispražnjen i temeljito očišćen.

Mohammed bin Salman ovime je utvrdio svoju vlast


- Bude li ova vijest potvrđena, predstavljat će znakovit potez moćnog saudijskog krunskog princa Mohammeda bin Salmana u cilju konsolidacije svoje pozicije.

Princ Ahmed bin Abdelaziz je jedan od posljednjih preživjelih sinova osnivača države, kralja Abdelaziza, i vrlo je poštovan među ostlim članovima vladajuće obitelji.

Drugi princ, Mohammed bin Nayef, bio je idući u redu za krunu prije nego je iznenada smijenjen prije tri godine. Prije toga, kao ministar unutarnjih poslova, odradio je dobar posao i bio pohvaljen za gušenje pobune al-Qaide koja je zahvatila Saudijsku Arabiju u dvijetisućitim godinama.

Priča koju su prvi objavili američki mediji nije još ni potvrđena, ni opovrgnuta, no događanja na saudijskom dvoru često su obavijena velom tajne, komentar je Franka Gardnera, BBC-jevog stručnjaka za pitanja sigurnosti.

Tri visokopozicionirana člana saudijske kraljevske obitelji, uključujući i kraljevog brata, uhićeni su iz neobjašnjenih razloga, piše BBC.

Druga dvojica uhićenih su vrlo visoko pozicionirane i utjecajne osobe, a uhićenja se dovode u vezu s prestolonasljednikom i de facto saudijskim vladarom Mohammedom bin Salmanom.

Godine 2017. desecima osoba blisko povezanih s dvorom, uključujući i neke ministre i poslovne ljude, određeno je obavezno zadržavanje u hotelu Ritz-Carlton u Rijadu nakon što je princ bin Salman naredio njihovo uhićenje.

Mohammed bin Salman smatra se pravim vladarem Saudijske Arabije nakon što ga je otac proglasio prestolonasljednikom 2016. godine. Uhićenja su se dogodila u petak ujutro, objavili su New York Times i Wall Street Journal.

Uhićeni muškarci su kraljev mlađi brat princ Ahmed bin Abdulaziz, bivši prestolonasljednik Mohammed bin Nayef i kraljev rođak, princ Nawaf bin Nayef.

Mohammed bin Nayef je bio ministar unutarnjih poslova sve dok nije 2017. maknut s te funkcije i stavljen u kućni pritvor po naredbi Mohammeda bin Salmana, prenosi Jutarnji list.

Po uhićene su došli naoružani stražari obučeni u crno i s maskama na licu te pretražili njihove domove, piše Wall Street Journal.

Mohammed bin Salman dobio je pohvale svjetske javnosti kad je 2016. obećao niz ekonomskih i društvenih reformi u ovoj duboko konzervativnoj zemlji. Međutim, od 2018. je upleten u niz skandala uključujući i ubojstvo saudijskog novinara Jamala Khashoggija u saudijskoj ambasadi u Istanbulu 2018.

Posljednjih dana Saudijska Arabija poduzima mjere kako bi spriječila širenje koronavirusa.

Stranim državljanima zabranjen je ulazak u zemlju radi  Umraha, tradicionalnog hodočašća, a upitno je i hoće li se održati ovogodišnji tradicionalni Hadž.

U utorak je muslimanski najsvetiji grad Meka posve ispražnjen i temeljito očišćen.

Mohammed bin Salman ovime je utvrdio svoju vlast


- Bude li ova vijest potvrđena, predstavljat će znakovit potez moćnog saudijskog krunskog princa Mohammeda bin Salmana u cilju konsolidacije svoje pozicije.

Princ Ahmed bin Abdelaziz je jedan od posljednjih preživjelih sinova osnivača države, kralja Abdelaziza, i vrlo je poštovan među ostlim članovima vladajuće obitelji.

Drugi princ, Mohammed bin Nayef, bio je idući u redu za krunu prije nego je iznenada smijenjen prije tri godine. Prije toga, kao ministar unutarnjih poslova, odradio je dobar posao i bio pohvaljen za gušenje pobune al-Qaide koja je zahvatila Saudijsku Arabiju u dvijetisućitim godinama.

Priča koju su prvi objavili američki mediji nije još ni potvrđena, ni opovrgnuta, no događanja na saudijskom dvoru često su obavijena velom tajne, komentar je Franka Gardnera, BBC-jevog stručnjaka za pitanja sigurnosti.

Tri visokopozicionirana člana saudijske kraljevske obitelji, uključujući i kraljevog brata, uhićeni su iz neobjašnjenih razloga, piše BBC.

Druga dvojica uhićenih su vrlo visoko pozicionirane i utjecajne osobe, a uhićenja se dovode u vezu s prestolonasljednikom i de facto saudijskim vladarom Mohammedom bin Salmanom.

Godine 2017. desecima osoba blisko povezanih s dvorom, uključujući i neke ministre i poslovne ljude, određeno je obavezno zadržavanje u hotelu Ritz-Carlton u Rijadu nakon što je princ bin Salman naredio njihovo uhićenje.

Mohammed bin Salman smatra se pravim vladarem Saudijske Arabije nakon što ga je otac proglasio prestolonasljednikom 2016. godine. Uhićenja su se dogodila u petak ujutro, objavili su New York Times i Wall Street Journal.
