Nakon što je smijenio premijera i suspendirao parlament, glavne političke stranke u Tunisu optužile su predsjednika te zemlje da je sa svojim pristašama izveo puč. Kais Saied kaže da se pritom ponašao posve u skladu s ustavom te zemlje, no pravni okvir njegovih postupaka nije baš posve jasan.

Predsjednikovi potezi uslijedili su zbog eskalacije korona krize u Tunisu, što se nadovezala na od ranije bremenite ekonomske i socijalne probleme, te inicirala cijeli val nasilnih masovnih prosvjeda. Smijenjeni premijer Hichem Mechichi objavio je kasno jučer da će svoje ovlasti predati onome koga za čelo vlade odredi predsjednik Saied, jer ne želi ulogu "remetilačkog elementa". Američki državni tajnik Antony Blinken pozvao je tuniskog predsjednika da održi otvoren dijalog sa svim političkim akterima i narodom Tunisa, a na dogovor unutar zemlje i izbjegavanje nasilja apelira i UN.

Slični su pozivi upućeni i iz Arapske lige, Rusije i Katara, no zasad bez efekta: sukobi među pristašama i protivnicima predsjednika Saieda nastavljeni su i u ponedjeljak u glavnom gradu zemlje. Demonstranti su bacali kamenje jedni na druge oko zgrade zakonodavnog tijela koju su zapriječile vojne trupe.

Revolucija u Tunisu 2011. godine često se na Zapadu smatra jedinim uspjehom Arapskog proljeća u cijeloj regiji, ali ni ekonomski ni politički ona nije dovela zemlju ni korak bliže stabilnosti. Nedavni velik skok u slučajevima covida izazvao je dugotrajnu frustraciju u javnosti, pa je predsjednik najprije smijenio ministra zdravstva.

Kais Saied neovisan je o  glavnim političkim strankama još otkako je izabran 2019. godine, te je dugo u sukobu s premijerom Mechichijem, koji uživa potporu najveće stranke u parlamentu, umjerenih islamista Ennahde. U nedjelju su tisuće ljudi širom Tunisa demonstrirale protiv premijera i vladajuće stranke, čije je sjedište u jugozapadnom gradu Touzeur čak i zapaljeno. U televizijskom obraćanju predsjednik Saied rekao je: "Donijeli smo ove privremene odluke sve dok se socijalni mir ne vrati u Tunis, i dok ne spasimo državu." Obećao je da će na svako daljnje nasilje odgovoriti vojnom silom.

Jučer je, međutim, predsjednik parlamenta Rached Ghannouchi, ujedno i predsjednik vladajuće stranke Ennahde, pokušao ući u sjedište zakonodavne vlasti. Kad su ga blokirale pristaše predsjednika Saieda, on i njegovi lojalisti prosvjedovali su u sjedećem položaju. Televizija Al-Jazeera, za koju se smatra da simpatizira Ennahdi, objavila je jučer da su sigurnosne snage izvršile raciju u njenim uredima u Tunisu, iskopčavši svu opremu i naredivši osoblju da se udalji.

Mnogima se postupci predsjednika Tunisa i njemu lojalnih snaga čine kao nova nada za zemlju, nakon godina kaotičnog upravljanja. Drugima je njegov potez itekako ustavno problematičan, s potencijalno destabilizirajućim i dalekosežnim posljedicama. Kao najveća stranka u parlamentu, Ennahdi ima pravo nominirati premijera. Predsjednik Saied najavio je da će on neko vrijeme vladati zajedno s novim premijerom, a parlament će biti suspendiran na idućih 30 dana. Događaji su u velikoj mjeri povezani s akutnom borbom za vlast između predsjednika, premijera i predsjednika parlamenta. koja datira još od ranije. 

Ključan za daljnji razvoj događaja bit će rok u kojemu će biti imenovan novi premijer i objavljen njegov plan. Umrli od koronavirusa dosegli su rekord u zemlji prošlog tjedna, prešavši 300 podleglih u samo 24 sata. Tunis ima jednu od najviših stopa smrtnosti po glavi stanovnika na svijetu, a cijepljenje je teklo sporo i gotovo ga nije ni bilo. Samo je 7 posto od 11,7 milijuna stanovnika primilo obje doze. Vlada je nedavno pokušala ubrzati proces, ali loša organizacija sve je pretvorila u kaos s nužnim pečatima, nestašicom zaliha cjepiva i brojnim nasilnim incidentima.

Covid-19 je samo jedan faktor tuniskih nemira. Država je od revolucije 2011. imala čak devet vlada, od kojih su mnoge bile kratkotrajne i nisu doživjele ni pola mandata. Duboko ukorijenjeni problemi nezaposlenosti i raspada državne infrastrukture koji nikad nisu riješeni također snažno inspiriraju građansku volju za pobunom.

Nakon što je smijenio premijera i suspendirao parlament, glavne političke stranke u Tunisu optužile su predsjednika te zemlje da je sa svojim pristašama izveo puč. Kais Saied kaže da se pritom ponašao posve u skladu s ustavom te zemlje, no pravni okvir njegovih postupaka nije baš posve jasan.

Predsjednikovi potezi uslijedili su zbog eskalacije korona krize u Tunisu, što se nadovezala na od ranije bremenite ekonomske i socijalne probleme, te inicirala cijeli val nasilnih masovnih prosvjeda. Smijenjeni premijer Hichem Mechichi objavio je kasno jučer da će svoje ovlasti predati onome koga za čelo vlade odredi predsjednik Saied, jer ne želi ulogu "remetilačkog elementa". Američki državni tajnik Antony Blinken pozvao je tuniskog predsjednika da održi otvoren dijalog sa svim političkim akterima i narodom Tunisa, a na dogovor unutar zemlje i izbjegavanje nasilja apelira i UN.

Slični su pozivi upućeni i iz Arapske lige, Rusije i Katara, no zasad bez efekta: sukobi među pristašama i protivnicima predsjednika Saieda nastavljeni su i u ponedjeljak u glavnom gradu zemlje. Demonstranti su bacali kamenje jedni na druge oko zgrade zakonodavnog tijela koju su zapriječile vojne trupe.

Revolucija u Tunisu 2011. godine često se na Zapadu smatra jedinim uspjehom Arapskog proljeća u cijeloj regiji, ali ni ekonomski ni politički ona nije dovela zemlju ni korak bliže stabilnosti. Nedavni velik skok u slučajevima covida izazvao je dugotrajnu frustraciju u javnosti, pa je predsjednik najprije smijenio ministra zdravstva.

Kais Saied neovisan je o  glavnim političkim strankama još otkako je izabran 2019. godine, te je dugo u sukobu s premijerom Mechichijem, koji uživa potporu najveće stranke u parlamentu, umjerenih islamista Ennahde. U nedjelju su tisuće ljudi širom Tunisa demonstrirale protiv premijera i vladajuće stranke, čije je sjedište u jugozapadnom gradu Touzeur čak i zapaljeno. U televizijskom obraćanju predsjednik Saied rekao je: "Donijeli smo ove privremene odluke sve dok se socijalni mir ne vrati u Tunis, i dok ne spasimo državu." Obećao je da će na svako daljnje nasilje odgovoriti vojnom silom.

Jučer je, međutim, predsjednik parlamenta Rached Ghannouchi, ujedno i predsjednik vladajuće stranke Ennahde, pokušao ući u sjedište zakonodavne vlasti. Kad su ga blokirale pristaše predsjednika Saieda, on i njegovi lojalisti prosvjedovali su u sjedećem položaju. Televizija Al-Jazeera, za koju se smatra da simpatizira Ennahdi, objavila je jučer da su sigurnosne snage izvršile raciju u njenim uredima u Tunisu, iskopčavši svu opremu i naredivši osoblju da se udalji.

Mnogima se postupci predsjednika Tunisa i njemu lojalnih snaga čine kao nova nada za zemlju, nakon godina kaotičnog upravljanja. Drugima je njegov potez itekako ustavno problematičan, s potencijalno destabilizirajućim i dalekosežnim posljedicama. Kao najveća stranka u parlamentu, Ennahdi ima pravo nominirati premijera. Predsjednik Saied najavio je da će on neko vrijeme vladati zajedno s novim premijerom, a parlament će biti suspendiran na idućih 30 dana. Događaji su u velikoj mjeri povezani s akutnom borbom za vlast između predsjednika, premijera i predsjednika parlamenta. koja datira još od ranije. 

Ključan za daljnji razvoj događaja bit će rok u kojemu će biti imenovan novi premijer i objavljen njegov plan. Umrli od koronavirusa dosegli su rekord u zemlji prošlog tjedna, prešavši 300 podleglih u samo 24 sata. Tunis ima jednu od najviših stopa smrtnosti po glavi stanovnika na svijetu, a cijepljenje je teklo sporo i gotovo ga nije ni bilo. Samo je 7 posto od 11,7 milijuna stanovnika primilo obje doze. Vlada je nedavno pokušala ubrzati proces, ali loša organizacija sve je pretvorila u kaos s nužnim pečatima, nestašicom zaliha cjepiva i brojnim nasilnim incidentima.

Covid-19 je samo jedan faktor tuniskih nemira. Država je od revolucije 2011. imala čak devet vlada, od kojih su mnoge bile kratkotrajne i nisu doživjele ni pola mandata. Duboko ukorijenjeni problemi nezaposlenosti i raspada državne infrastrukture koji nikad nisu riješeni također snažno inspiriraju građansku volju za pobunom.
