Još sredinom ovog mjeseca vrlo ozbiljne institucije, kao što je European center for disease prevention i control (ECDC), dramatično su upozoravali donosioce odluka na nove, opasnije sojeve virusa zbog kojih treba usporiti popuštanje epidemioloških mjera ili ih čak pooštriti, piše jutarnji.hr.

Tako je ECDC u tzv. Rapid risk assessmentu objavljenom 15. veljače poručila kako je u više EU zemalja primijećen značajni pad incidencije SARS-CoV-2 infekcija, ali su upozorili kako je još prerano za procjene učinka cijepljenja najugroženijih skupina na usporavanje hospitalizacija i smrti te su naglasili strahovanja od tri soja virusa koji su otkriveni u Velikoj Britaniji (B.1.1.7), Južnoj Africi (B.1.35) i Brazilu (P.1).

Napisali su kako se donosioci odluka zbog tih mutacija ne trebaju osvrtati na anti-lockdown prosvjede i nezadovoljstvo građana zbog strogih mjera. Pozabavili su se pomalo sa svakom mutacijom koja se počela širiti u europskim zemljama. Tako su za južnoafričku mutaciju B.1.351 istakli kako se počela širiti u više europskih zemalja te su upozorili kako je povezana s novim značajnim probojima zaraze, što će dovesti do nove opterećenosti bolnica i povećanja broja smrti.

No, u Britaniji je, recimo, uz njihov zarazniji soj očigledan trend pada broja slučajeva, tako da britanski premijer Boris Johnson najavljuje objavu plana potpunog izlaska iz epidemioloških mjera u četiri faze. Taj plan napuštanja zabrana je i pored pada slučajeva ekstremno oprezan i spor. U međuvremenu, znanstvenike je iznenadilo koliko je „zarazniji“ i „opasniji“ južnoafrički soj počeo usporavati zarazu u Južnoj Africi.

Vrlo utjecajni američki znanstvenik autor, liječnik, profesor molekularne medicine i glavni urednik Medscapea, Eric Topol, objavio je tweet s grafikonom koji govori da se u Južnoj Africi broj slučajeva uz B.1.351 strmoglavio te ustvrdio kako „nema dokaza“ da je ta varijanta zaraznija. Taj pad broja slučajeva uz tobože zarazniju mutaciju, naglasio je Topol, dogodio se bez cijepljenja.

Još sredinom ovog mjeseca vrlo ozbiljne institucije, kao što je European center for disease prevention i control (ECDC), dramatično su upozoravali donosioce odluka na nove, opasnije sojeve virusa zbog kojih treba usporiti popuštanje epidemioloških mjera ili ih čak pooštriti, piše jutarnji.hr.

Tako je ECDC u tzv. Rapid risk assessmentu objavljenom 15. veljače poručila kako je u više EU zemalja primijećen značajni pad incidencije SARS-CoV-2 infekcija, ali su upozorili kako je još prerano za procjene učinka cijepljenja najugroženijih skupina na usporavanje hospitalizacija i smrti te su naglasili strahovanja od tri soja virusa koji su otkriveni u Velikoj Britaniji (B.1.1.7), Južnoj Africi (B.1.35) i Brazilu (P.1).

Napisali su kako se donosioci odluka zbog tih mutacija ne trebaju osvrtati na anti-lockdown prosvjede i nezadovoljstvo građana zbog strogih mjera. Pozabavili su se pomalo sa svakom mutacijom koja se počela širiti u europskim zemljama. Tako su za južnoafričku mutaciju B.1.351 istakli kako se počela širiti u više europskih zemalja te su upozorili kako je povezana s novim značajnim probojima zaraze, što će dovesti do nove opterećenosti bolnica i povećanja broja smrti.

No, u Britaniji je, recimo, uz njihov zarazniji soj očigledan trend pada broja slučajeva, tako da britanski premijer Boris Johnson najavljuje objavu plana potpunog izlaska iz epidemioloških mjera u četiri faze. Taj plan napuštanja zabrana je i pored pada slučajeva ekstremno oprezan i spor. U međuvremenu, znanstvenike je iznenadilo koliko je „zarazniji“ i „opasniji“ južnoafrički soj počeo usporavati zarazu u Južnoj Africi.

Vrlo utjecajni američki znanstvenik autor, liječnik, profesor molekularne medicine i glavni urednik Medscapea, Eric Topol, objavio je tweet s grafikonom koji govori da se u Južnoj Africi broj slučajeva uz B.1.351 strmoglavio te ustvrdio kako „nema dokaza“ da je ta varijanta zaraznija. Taj pad broja slučajeva uz tobože zarazniju mutaciju, naglasio je Topol, dogodio se bez cijepljenja.

Iznenađujuće brojke začudile su znanstvenike: je li moguće da novi ‘zarazniji‘ sojevi usporavaju zarazu koronavirusom?

Još sredinom ovog mjeseca vrlo ozbiljne institucije, kao što je European center for disease prevention i control (ECDC), dramatično su upozoravali donosioce odluka na nove, opasnije sojeve virusa zbog kojih treba usporiti popuštanje epidemioloških mjera ili ih čak pooštriti, piše jutarnji.hr.

Tako je ECDC u tzv. Rapid risk assessmentu objavljenom 15. veljače poručila kako je u više EU zemalja primijećen značajni pad incidencije SARS-CoV-2 infekcija, ali su upozorili kako je još prerano za procjene učinka cijepljenja najugroženijih skupina na usporavanje hospitalizacija i smrti te su naglasili strahovanja od tri soja virusa koji su otkriveni u Velikoj Britaniji (B.1.1.7), Južnoj Africi (B.1.35) i Brazilu (P.1).
