Preliminarni rezultati kliničkog ispitivanja sugeriraju da novo liječenje covida-19 dramatično smanjuje broj bolesnika kojima je potrebno intenzivno liječenje, objavila je tvrtka koja je razvila lijek, prenosi BBC.

Za liječenje britanska biotehnološka tvrtka Synairgen koristi protein beta interferon koji tijelo proizvodi kad ga napadne virus.
Bjelančevinu udišu izravno u pluća oboljeli od covida-19 u nadi da će stimulirati imuni odgovor.

Početni rezultati sugeriraju da su izgledi za razvoj teškog oblika bolesti covida-19 kod bolničkih pacijenata, koji primjerice zahtijevaju respirator,  smanjeni 79 posto.

BBC napominje da rezultati nisu prošli znanstvenu recenziju.

Izgledi za oporavak pacijenata do točke u kojoj bolest nije ugrožavala njihove svakodnevne aktivnosti, bili su dva do tri puta veći.

Ispitivanje je također ukazalo na vrlo značajno smanjenje simptoma poput onoga da se bolesnici žale da ostaju bez daha.
Prosječno vrijeme boravka u bolnici smanjeno je za trećinu za one na novom liječenju - sa prosječnih devet na prosječnih šest dana hospitalizacije.

Dvostruko slijepo istraživanje obuhvatilo je 101 dobrovoljca na liječenju u devet britanskih bolnica. Polovica je bila na lijeku, a polovica na placebu - tvari bez djelovanja.

Preliminarni rezultati kliničkog ispitivanja sugeriraju da novo liječenje covida-19 dramatično smanjuje broj bolesnika kojima je potrebno intenzivno liječenje, objavila je tvrtka koja je razvila lijek, prenosi BBC.

Za liječenje britanska biotehnološka tvrtka Synairgen koristi protein beta interferon koji tijelo proizvodi kad ga napadne virus.
Bjelančevinu udišu izravno u pluća oboljeli od covida-19 u nadi da će stimulirati imuni odgovor.

Početni rezultati sugeriraju da su izgledi za razvoj teškog oblika bolesti covida-19 kod bolničkih pacijenata, koji primjerice zahtijevaju respirator,  smanjeni 79 posto.

BBC napominje da rezultati nisu prošli znanstvenu recenziju.

Izgledi za oporavak pacijenata do točke u kojoj bolest nije ugrožavala njihove svakodnevne aktivnosti, bili su dva do tri puta veći.

Ispitivanje je također ukazalo na vrlo značajno smanjenje simptoma poput onoga da se bolesnici žale da ostaju bez daha.
Prosječno vrijeme boravka u bolnici smanjeno je za trećinu za one na novom liječenju - sa prosječnih devet na prosječnih šest dana hospitalizacije.

Dvostruko slijepo istraživanje obuhvatilo je 101 dobrovoljca na liječenju u devet britanskih bolnica. Polovica je bila na lijeku, a polovica na placebu - tvari bez djelovanja.

Bjelančevinu udišu izravno u pluća oboljeli od covida-19 u nadi da će stimulirati imuni odgovor.

Početni rezultati sugeriraju da su izgledi za razvoj teškog oblika bolesti covida-19 kod bolničkih pacijenata, koji primjerice zahtijevaju respirator,  smanjeni 79 posto.

BBC napominje da rezultati nisu prošli znanstvenu recenziju.
