Vrijednost dionica njemačke tvrtke BioNTech, koja je u suradnji s američkim Pfizerom razvila cjepivo protiv covida-19, u petak su na američkoj burzi NASDAQ pale za 20 posto, a za sve je, čini se, odgovorno eksplozivno izvješće zviždača objavljeno u utorak u British Medical Journalu, vodećem svjetskom časopisu iz polja medicine.

U njemu bivša zaposlenica BioNTecha upozorava na "zapanjujuću razinu nekompetentnosti u upravljanju i rukovanju podacima te na manjak sigurnosti pacijenata tijekom procesa testiranja cjepiva".

Zviždačica, identificirana kao Brook Jackson, tvrdi kako je tvrtka angažirala loše obučene cjepitelje, a čak je i krivotvorila podatke o ispitivanjima. Također navodi i kako je bilo više sporova u istraživanju štetnih učinaka vakcine, a British Medical Journalu dostavio je desetke internih dokumenata kojima potkrepljuje svoje tvrdnje, prenosi Jutarnji.hr.

Osim ovog negativnog izvješća, nagađa se kako bi drugi mogući razlog za iznenađujući pad dionica mogao biti Pfizerov novi lijek, antivirusna pilula Paxlovid koja prema najnovijim istraživanjima smanjuje stopu hospitalizacije i smrtnosti od covida za čak 89 posto. U razvoju te pilule nije sudjelovao BioNTech. Osim Pfizera, tu je i američki Merck & Co, koji je također razvio lijek za koji su klinička ispitivanja pokazala da smanjuje rizik od hospitalizacije i smrti kod pacijenata s blagim do umjerenim covid simptomima za 50 posto.

Još jedan proizvođač cjepiva, Moderna, u petak je također izgubio na vrijednosti, a "potonule" su i dionice Novavaxa.

Nova studija Instituta za javno zdravstvo u Oaklandu, Medicinskog centra u San Franciscu i Zdravstvenog centra Sveučilišta Teksas objavljena u četvrtak u časopisu Science pokazuje kako je delta varijanta, koja je postala dominantna u SAD-u, smanjila učinkovitost svih triju cjepiva protiv koronavirusa - štoviše, učinkovitost vakcine pala je u rasponu od 35 do 85 posto. Istraživači, koji su pratili evidenciju gotovo 800.000 cijepljenih Amerikanaca, tvrde kako su početkom ožujka, baš kad je delta soj uzeo maha, sva dostupna cjepiva (Moderna, Pfizer/BioNTech te Johnson & Johnson) bila otprilike jednako učinkovita u sprečavanju infekcije. No, situacija se u sljedećih šest mjeseci dramatično promijenila, prenosi Los Angeles Times.

Do kraja rujna, dvije doze Modernina cjepiva, koje su u ožujku imale učinkovitost od čak 89 posto, pale su na 58%. Pfizer i BioNTech od prvotnih 87% sad imaju 45%, a zaštitna moć jednodoznog cjepiva Johnson & Johnson u razdoblju od šest mjeseci pala je s 86% na samo 13%. Centri za kontrolu i prevenciju bolesti (CDC) stoga preporučuju dopunske injekcije za sve koji su primili cjepivo Johnson & Johnson.

Tzv. booster doze Moderne i Pfizera također su poželjne šest mjeseci nakon primanja druge doze za sve starije od 65 godina, vulnerabilne skupine, one koji žive u staračkim domovima, kao i pojedince koji rade u okruženjima visokoga rizika kao što su bolnice ili zatvori.

Autori ove studije kažu kako bi nova saznanja o slabljenju moći cjepiva trebala potaknuti čak i države s visokom stopom procijepljenosti da razmotre zadržavanje obveze nošenja maski. Istraživanje također zaključuje kako je delta varijanta virusa vjerojatno faktor koji je najviše narušio zaštitu cjepiva. I drugi istraživači pronašli su slične dokaze o smanjenju učinkovitosti vakcine, no napominju i kako obrana imunološkog sustava protiv virusa jednostavno nestaje s vremenom.

- Opadanje učinkovitosti cjepiva vjerojatno bi bilo vidljivo s ili bez dolaska novog, prenosivog soja - zaključili su.

Vrijednost dionica njemačke tvrtke BioNTech, koja je u suradnji s američkim Pfizerom razvila cjepivo protiv covida-19, u petak su na američkoj burzi NASDAQ pale za 20 posto, a za sve je, čini se, odgovorno eksplozivno izvješće zviždača objavljeno u utorak u British Medical Journalu, vodećem svjetskom časopisu iz polja medicine.

U njemu bivša zaposlenica BioNTecha upozorava na "zapanjujuću razinu nekompetentnosti u upravljanju i rukovanju podacima te na manjak sigurnosti pacijenata tijekom procesa testiranja cjepiva".

Zviždačica, identificirana kao Brook Jackson, tvrdi kako je tvrtka angažirala loše obučene cjepitelje, a čak je i krivotvorila podatke o ispitivanjima. Također navodi i kako je bilo više sporova u istraživanju štetnih učinaka vakcine, a British Medical Journalu dostavio je desetke internih dokumenata kojima potkrepljuje svoje tvrdnje, prenosi Jutarnji.hr.

Osim ovog negativnog izvješća, nagađa se kako bi drugi mogući razlog za iznenađujući pad dionica mogao biti Pfizerov novi lijek, antivirusna pilula Paxlovid koja prema najnovijim istraživanjima smanjuje stopu hospitalizacije i smrtnosti od covida za čak 89 posto. U razvoju te pilule nije sudjelovao BioNTech. Osim Pfizera, tu je i američki Merck & Co, koji je također razvio lijek za koji su klinička ispitivanja pokazala da smanjuje rizik od hospitalizacije i smrti kod pacijenata s blagim do umjerenim covid simptomima za 50 posto.

Još jedan proizvođač cjepiva, Moderna, u petak je također izgubio na vrijednosti, a "potonule" su i dionice Novavaxa.

Nova studija Instituta za javno zdravstvo u Oaklandu, Medicinskog centra u San Franciscu i Zdravstvenog centra Sveučilišta Teksas objavljena u četvrtak u časopisu Science pokazuje kako je delta varijanta, koja je postala dominantna u SAD-u, smanjila učinkovitost svih triju cjepiva protiv koronavirusa - štoviše, učinkovitost vakcine pala je u rasponu od 35 do 85 posto. Istraživači, koji su pratili evidenciju gotovo 800.000 cijepljenih Amerikanaca, tvrde kako su početkom ožujka, baš kad je delta soj uzeo maha, sva dostupna cjepiva (Moderna, Pfizer/BioNTech te Johnson & Johnson) bila otprilike jednako učinkovita u sprečavanju infekcije. Do kraja rujna, dvije doze Modernina cjepiva, koje su u ožujku imale učinkovitost od čak 89 posto, pale su na 58%. Pfizer i BioNTech od prvotnih 87% sad imaju 45%, a zaštitna moć jednodoznog cjepiva Johnson & Johnson u razdoblju od šest mjeseci pala je s 86% na samo 13%. Centri za kontrolu i prevenciju bolesti (CDC) stoga preporučuju dopunske injekcije za sve koji su primili cjepivo Johnson & Johnson.

Tzv. booster doze Moderne i Pfizera također su poželjne šest mjeseci nakon primanja druge doze za sve starije od 65 godina, vulnerabilne skupine, one koji žive u staračkim domovima, kao i pojedince koji rade u okruženjima visokoga rizika kao što su bolnice ili zatvori.

Autori ove studije kažu kako bi nova saznanja o slabljenju moći cjepiva trebala potaknuti čak i države s visokom stopom procijepljenosti da razmotre zadržavanje obveze nošenja maski. Vrijednost dionica njemačke tvrtke BioNTech, koja je u suradnji s američkim Pfizerom razvila cjepivo protiv covida-19, u petak su na američkoj burzi NASDAQ pale za 20 posto, a za sve je, čini se, odgovorno eksplozivno izvješće zviždača objavljeno u utorak u British Medical Journalu, vodećem svjetskom časopisu iz polja medicine.

U njemu bivša zaposlenica BioNTecha upozorava na "zapanjujuću razinu nekompetentnosti u upravljanju i rukovanju podacima te na manjak sigurnosti pacijenata tijekom procesa testiranja cjepiva".

Zviždačica, identificirana kao Brook Jackson, tvrdi kako je tvrtka angažirala loše obučene cjepitelje, a čak je i krivotvorila podatke o ispitivanjima. Također navodi i kako je bilo više sporova u istraživanju štetnih učinaka vakcine, a British Medical Journalu ...
