Moguće je da će nakon europskih izbora u lipnju na čelu Europske komisije, Vijeća EU-a, Europskog parlamenta i europske diplomacije biti žene, piše Politico.

Te dužnosti bit će podijeljene između glavnih političkih skupina. Nagađanja o tome tko će ih dobiti omiljena je tema ovih dana u Bruxellesu. 

Često se spominju četiri imena – sve žene – u vezi s tim dužnostima: Njemica Ursula von der Leyen ostala bi po tim glasinama predsjednica Europske komisije, Maltežanka Roberta Metsola ostala bi predsjednica Europskog parlamenta, danska premijerka Mette Frederiksen postala bi predsjednica Europskog vijeća, a estonska premijerka Kaja Kallas preuzela bi dužnost visoke predstavnice EU-a za vanjske poslove i sigurnosnu politiku (šefica europske diplomacije).

„To je tim iz snova”, rekao je diplomat koji je želio ostati neimenovan. „To bi poslalo tako snažnu poruku.”

Nikakva odluka još nije donesena i iznenađenja pri podjelama dužnosti nisu rijetkost (Von der Leyen prošli put mnogima nije bila na radaru) pa tako i mnoga imena muških kandidata i dalje kruže.

Uz to, odluka o predsjedniku Europskog parlamenta više je na političkim strankama i europskim zastupnicima nego na nacionalnim čelnicima.

No ta kombinacija mogla bi imati smisla – u scenariju po kojem čelnici EU-a, većinom muškarci, odluče da to budu sve žene.

Komisija i Europski parlament ostali bi u rukama Europske pučke stranke (EPP), socijalisti bi dobili Europsko vijeće, a liberali bi imali potpunu kontrolu nad europskom diplomacijom. 

To bi bilo tako kada bi EPP i S&D bili prvi i drugi na europskim izborima, a liberali vjerojatno četvrti. 

Krajnje desni Identitet i demokracija (ID) i desni Europski konzervativci i reformisti (ECR) vjerojatno će dobro proći na europskim izborima. ID bi trebao biti treći, a ECR peti. Nagađa se da bi ECR mogao dobiti dužnost potpredsjednika Komisije.

Ta imena imaju smisla osobito zato što Von Der Leyen i Metsola vjerojatno neće nikamo drugamo.

Diplomati također sve ozbiljnije razmatraju mogućnost da Frederiksen zamijeni Charlesa Michela na čelu Europskog vijeća.

U kuloarima se također sve više za šeficu diplomacije spominje Kallas, velikim dijelom zahvaljujući zemljopisu.

U svjetlu rata u Ukrajini, mnogi čelnici iz istočne Europe smatraju da bi jedno od čelnih mjesta u EU-u trebalo otići u tom smjeru. Kallas je to i sama rekla za Politico prošle godine: „Mi bismo trebali biti na radaru za najviše dužnosti.”

Štoviše, povratak Donalda Tuska – bivšeg predsjednika Europskog vijeća, a sada poljskog premijera – znači da je Poljska najveća europska zemlja s čelnikom iz EPP-a pa će „jednostavno biti nemoguće izbjeći” da najvišu dužnost dobije netko iz istočne Europe, rekao je europski dužnosnik.

Po tom scenariju, istok bi imao Kallas, zapad Von der Leyen, sjever Frederiksen, a jug Metoslu. 

Dodajte tome Christine Lagarde na čelu Europske središnje banke (ECB) (mandat joj traje do 2027.) i Nadiu Calvino, koja je tek započela mandat na čelu Europske investicijske banke – i žene bi imale sve najmoćnije pozicije u EU-u.

Ništa u EU-u, međutim, nije lako. Za neke na lijevom centru, Frederiksen nije dovoljno socijalistkinja s obzirom na strogu dansku politiku prema migracijama, a za neke diplomate Kallas je preoštra u pogledu Rusije, što znači da bi mogla naići na isto protivljenje i kad je riječ o dužnosti šefice europske diplomacije.

EU ne stoji dobro kad je riječ o imenovanju žena na visoke dužnosti, osim u slučaju visokog predstavnika za vanjske poslove s obzirom na to da su žene dva puta obnašale tu dužnost od ukupno tri – Britanka Catherine Ashton i Talijanka Federica Mogherini, prije nego je Španjolac Josep Borrell preuzeo dužnost nakon zadnjih europskih izbora.

Dužnost predsjednika Europskog vijeća obnašala su trojica muškaraca - Belgijci Herman Van Rompuy i Charles Michel, a između njih Poljak Donald Tusk. Komisija je prije Von der Leyen imala samo predsjednike. 

Od prvih izbora za Europski parlament 1979., od ukupno 17 njegovih predsjednika samo su tri bile žene - Simone Veil, Nicole Fontaine i sada Metsola.

Moguće je da će nakon europskih izbora u lipnju na čelu Europske komisije, Vijeća EU-a, Europskog parlamenta i europske diplomacije biti žene, piše Politico.

Te dužnosti bit će podijeljene između glavnih političkih skupina. Nagađanja o tome tko će ih dobiti omiljena je tema ovih dana u Bruxellesu. 

Često se spominju četiri imena – sve žene – u vezi s tim dužnostima: Njemica Ursula von der Leyen ostala bi po tim glasinama predsjednica Europske komisije, Maltežanka Roberta Metsola ostala bi predsjednica Europskog parlamenta, danska premijerka Mette Frederiksen postala bi predsjednica Europskog vijeća, a estonska premijerka Kaja Kallas preuzela bi dužnost visoke predstavnice EU-a za vanjske poslove i sigurnosnu politiku (šefica europske diplomacije).

„To je tim iz snova”, rekao je diplomat koji je želio ostati neimenovan. „To bi poslalo tako snažnu poruku.”

Nikakva odluka još nije donesena i iznenađenja pri podjelama dužnosti nisu rijetkost (Von der Leyen prošli put mnogima nije bila na radaru) pa tako i mnoga imena muških kandidata i dalje kruže.

Uz to, odluka o predsjedniku Europskog parlamenta više je na političkim strankama i europskim zastupnicima nego na nacionalnim čelnicima.

No ta kombinacija mogla bi imati smisla – u scenariju po kojem čelnici EU-a, većinom muškarci, odluče da to budu sve žene.

Komisija i Europski parlament ostali bi u rukama Europske pučke stranke (EPP), socijalisti bi dobili Europsko vijeće, a liberali bi imali potpunu kontrolu nad europskom diplomacijom. 

To bi bilo tako kada bi EPP i S&D bili prvi i drugi na europskim izborima, a liberali vjerojatno četvrti. 

Krajnje desni Identitet i demokracija (ID) i desni Europski konzervativci i reformisti (ECR) vjerojatno će dobro proći na europskim izborima. ID bi trebao biti treći, a ECR peti. Nagađa se da bi ECR mogao dobiti dužnost potpredsjednika Komisije.

Ta imena imaju smisla osobito zato što Von Der Leyen i Metsola vjerojatno neće nikamo drugamo.

Diplomati također sve ozbiljnije razmatraju mogućnost da Frederiksen zamijeni Charlesa Michela na čelu Europskog vijeća.

U kuloarima se također sve više za šeficu diplomacije spominje Kallas, velikim dijelom zahvaljujući zemljopisu.

U svjetlu rata u Ukrajini, mnogi čelnici iz istočne Europe smatraju da bi jedno od čelnih mjesta u EU-u trebalo otići u tom smjeru. Kallas je to i sama rekla za Politico prošle godine: „Mi bismo trebali biti na radaru za najviše dužnosti.”

Štoviše, povratak Donalda Tuska – bivšeg predsjednika Europskog vijeća, a sada poljskog premijera – znači da je Poljska najveća europska zemlja s čelnikom iz EPP-a pa će „jednostavno biti nemoguće izbjeći” da najvišu dužnost dobije netko iz istočne Europe, rekao je europski dužnosnik.

Po tom scenariju, istok bi imao Kallas, zapad Von der Leyen, sjever Frederiksen, a jug Metoslu. 

Dodajte tome Christine Lagarde na čelu Europske središnje banke (ECB) (mandat joj traje do 2027.) i Nadiu Calvino, koja je tek započela mandat na čelu Europske investicijske banke – i žene bi imale sve najmoćnije pozicije u EU-u.

Ništa u EU-u, međutim, nije lako. Za neke na lijevom centru, Frederiksen nije dovoljno socijalistkinja s obzirom na strogu dansku politiku prema migracijama, a za neke diplomate Kallas je preoštra u pogledu Rusije, što znači da bi mogla naići na isto protivljenje i kad je riječ o dužnosti šefice europske diplomacije.

EU ne stoji dobro kad je riječ o imenovanju žena na visoke dužnosti, osim u slučaju visokog predstavnika za vanjske poslove s obzirom na to da su žene dva puta obnašale tu dužnost od ukupno tri – Britanka Catherine Ashton i Talijanka Federica Mogherini, prije nego je Španjolac Josep Borrell preuzeo dužnost nakon zadnjih europskih izbora.

Dužnost predsjednika Europskog vijeća obnašala su trojica muškaraca - Belgijci Herman Van Rompuy i Charles Michel, a između njih Poljak Donald Tusk. Komisija je prije Von der Leyen imala samo predsjednike. 

Od prvih izbora za Europski parlament 1979., od ukupno 17 njegovih predsjednika samo su tri bile žene - Simone Veil, Nicole Fontaine i sada Metsola.
