Koalicija stručnjaka i nevladinih organizacija – Observatory Against Greenwashing, predstavila je danas nezavisnu znanstveno utemeljenu Taksonomiju. Banke, investitori i osiguravatelji moći će provjeriti jesu li njihove investicije zaista "zelene" i znanstveno potkrijepljene na stranici www.greenwashed.net, izvijestili su iz WWF Adrije.

Uz WWF, jednu od najvećih svjetskih organizacija za zaštitu prirode, u toj koaliciji su još ECOS, BirdLife International, Transport&Environment, Chemsec, Milieudefensie, Legambiente and Ecologistas en Acción.

Kako pojašnjavaju, cilj ove inicijative je razjasniti situaciju investitorima nakon što je EU označila energiju dobivenu iz prirodnog plina, nuklearnu energiju, paljenje stabala, njihovu intenzivnu sječu i druge štetne aktivnosti održivima i uvrstila ih u EU taksonomiju – vodič Europske unije za zelena i održiva ulaganja. Kontroverzni akt o taksonomiji, zakon koji uključuje prirodni plin i nuklearnu energiju u taksonomiju EU-a, stupio je na snagu 1. siječnja 2023. godine.

"Prvotni cilj EU taksonomije bio je spriječiti ekomanipulaciju, poznatiju kao greenwashing, ali umjesto toga je postala još jedan alat za obmanu korisnika. Znanstveno utemeljena Taksonomija želi postići ono što originalna Taksonomija nije uspjela: stvoriti rigorozne kriterije pomoću kojih financijske institucije mogu ispravno procijeniti što je zeleno, a što nije", poručio je Vedran Kordić, koordinator EU taksonomije u WWF Adriji.

Istaknuto je i kako nezavisna znanstveno utemeljena Taksonomija uzima snažne kriterije postojeće Taksonomije, a odmiče se od onih koji nisu zasnovani na znanosti ili su štetni za okoliš.

"Ovo je samo prvi korak. Nezavisna znanstveno utemeljena Taksonomija također će osigurati dodatne kriterije koji će pomoći tržištu da stekne uvid u buduće dopune Taksonomije i poveže je s dostupnim putevima dekarbonizacije do 2050. ovisno o potrebama sektora, kao i načinima kojima može doprinijeti očuvanju bioraznolikosti, sprječavanju zagađenja, zaštiti voda i kružnom gospodarstvu", naglasio je Kordić.

Nezavisna znanstveno utemeljena Taksonomija će postupno širiti okvir postojeće Taksonomije umjesto da se fokusira na trenutni, proporcionalno mali broj sektora koji se smatraju "održivima". Kategorizirat će sve gospodarske aktivnosti koristeći sustav semafora: zeleno za održive aktivnosti, narančasto za aktivnosti koje čine određenu štetu, ali prelaze prema održivima, i crveno za štetne aktivnosti. Štoviše, kriteriji za kategorizaciju gospodarskih aktivnosti osvježavat će se svakih tri do pet godina kako bi bili usklađeni s tehnološkim, znanstvenim i pravnim razvojem, pojasnili su također.

Prva verzija nezavisne znanstveno utemeljene Taksonomije oslanja se na preliminarnu procjenu EU taksonomije za koju je zaslužna Tehnička skupina stručnjaka. Oni će nastaviti provoditi tehničku analizu kako bi se dodatno pročistili kriteriji za znanstveno utemeljenu Taksonomiju. Tajništvo znanstveno utemeljene Taksonomije poziva kvalificirane kandidate da se prijave na Natječaj za stručnjake i postanu članovi Tehničke skupine stručnjaka, priopćili su iz WWF Adrije.

Koalicija stručnjaka i nevladinih organizacija – Observatory Against Greenwashing, predstavila je danas nezavisnu znanstveno utemeljenu Taksonomiju. Banke, investitori i osiguravatelji moći će provjeriti jesu li njihove investicije zaista "zelene" i znanstveno potkrijepljene na stranici www.greenwashed.net, izvijestili su iz WWF Adrije.

Uz WWF, jednu od najvećih svjetskih organizacija za zaštitu prirode, u toj koaliciji su još ECOS, BirdLife International, Transport&Environment, Chemsec, Milieudefensie, Legambiente and Ecologistas en Acción.

Kako pojašnjavaju, cilj ove inicijative je razjasniti situaciju investitorima nakon što je EU označila energiju dobivenu iz prirodnog plina, nuklearnu energiju, paljenje stabala, njihovu intenzivnu sječu i druge štetne aktivnosti održivima i uvrstila ih u EU taksonomiju – vodič Europske unije za zelena i održiva ulaganja. Kontroverzni akt o taksonomiji, zakon koji uključuje prirodni plin i nuklearnu energiju u taksonomiju EU-a, stupio je na snagu 1. siječnja 2023. godine.

"Prvotni cilj EU taksonomije bio je spriječiti ekomanipulaciju, poznatiju kao greenwashing, ali umjesto toga je postala još jedan alat za obmanu korisnika. Znanstveno utemeljena Taksonomija želi postići ono što originalna Taksonomija nije uspjela: stvoriti rigorozne kriterije pomoću kojih financijske institucije mogu ispravno procijeniti što je zeleno, a što nije", poručio je Vedran Kordić, koordinator EU taksonomije u WWF Adriji.

Istaknuto je i kako nezavisna znanstveno utemeljena Taksonomija uzima snažne kriterije postojeće Taksonomije, a odmiče se od onih koji nisu zasnovani na znanosti ili su štetni za okoliš.

"Ovo je samo prvi korak. Nezavisna znanstveno utemeljena Taksonomija također će osigurati dodatne kriterije koji će pomoći tržištu da stekne uvid u buduće dopune Taksonomije i poveže je s dostupnim putevima dekarbonizacije do 2050. ovisno o potrebama sektora, kao i načinima kojima može doprinijeti očuvanju bioraznolikosti, sprječavanju zagađenja, zaštiti voda i kružnom gospodarstvu", naglasio je Kordić.

Nezavisna znanstveno utemeljena Taksonomija će postupno širiti okvir postojeće Taksonomije umjesto da se fokusira na trenutni, proporcionalno mali broj sektora koji se smatraju "održivima". Kategorizirat će sve gospodarske aktivnosti koristeći sustav semafora: zeleno za održive aktivnosti, narančasto za aktivnosti koje čine određenu štetu, ali prelaze prema održivima, i crveno za štetne aktivnosti. Štoviše, kriteriji za kategorizaciju gospodarskih aktivnosti osvježavat će se svakih tri do pet godina kako bi bili usklađeni s tehnološkim, znanstvenim i pravnim razvojem, pojasnili su također.

Prva verzija nezavisne znanstveno utemeljene Taksonomije oslanja se na preliminarnu procjenu EU taksonomije za koju je zaslužna Tehnička skupina stručnjaka. Oni će nastaviti provoditi tehničku analizu kako bi se dodatno pročistili kriteriji za znanstveno utemeljenu Taksonomiju. Tajništvo znanstveno utemeljene Taksonomije poziva kvalificirane kandidate da se prijave na Natječaj za stručnjake i postanu članovi Tehničke skupine stručnjaka, priopćili su iz WWF Adrije.

Koalicija stručnjaka i nevladinih organizacija – Observatory Against Greenwashing, predstavila je danas nezavisnu znanstveno utemeljenu Taksonomiju. Banke, investitori i osiguravatelji moći će provjeriti jesu li njihove investicije zaista "zelene" i znanstveno potkrijepljene na stranici www.greenwashed.net, izvijestili su iz WWF Adrije.

Uz WWF, jednu od najvećih svjetskih organizacija za zaštitu prirode, u toj koaliciji su još ECOS, BirdLife International, Transport&Environment, Chemsec, Milieudefensie, Legambiente and Ecologistas en Acción.
