U Srbiji u subotu počinje popis stanovništva za koji u vodstvu hrvatske zajednice kažu da će biti presudan za budućnost zajednice, njihov položaj i snagu institucija, zbog čega je vođena intenzivna kampanja pod nazivom "Znam tko sam".

Na prethodnom popisu prije 11 godina 57.900 građana Srbije izjasnilo se Hrvatima, a od toga broja njih oko 47.000 na teritoriju pokrajine Vojvodine.

Hrvatski demograf Dražen Živić izjavio je za hrvatske medije u Vojvodini da demografski trendovi pokazuju da će se broj Hrvata u Srbiji nastaviti smanjivati.

"Strukturna obilježja hrvatske manjinske zajednice takva su da ne ulijevaju preveliki optimizam kada je u pitanju ishod predstojećeg popisa", naveo je Živić tijekom gostovanja u Subotici.

Objasnio je da su vojvođanski demografi radili projekcije kretanja broja stanovnika u Vojvodini, pa tako i Hrvata u ovoj pokrajini.

"Nažalost perspektive nisu dobre. Prema tim projekcijama do sredine ovoga stoljeća broj Hrvata u Vojvodini sa 47.000 pao bi na 25.000. To je doista jedna katastrofična situacija, no na to ukazuju demografske zakonitosti", rekao je Živić.

S druge strane, dodao je, to nije razlog da se ne poduzmu mjere koje bi mogle pomoći da se stanje po pitanju brojnosti hrvatske zajednice već na ovome popisu popravi.

"Ne na način da pređe u pozitivni demografski trend, jer je to nemoguće u kratkom vremenskom razdoblju, ali barem da ta slika ne bude toliko nepovoljna", zaključio je.

Živić je mišljenja da na znatno povećanje broja izjašnjenih Hrvata ne bi utjecalo poboljšanje odnosa Hrvatske i Srbije, koji su trenutačno izuzetno zategnuti.

U tome kontekstu pozdravio je kampanju koju vodstvo hrvatske manjine u Srbiji od 1. rujna vodi pod nazivom "Znam tko sam".

Njezin je cilj da se pripadnici zajednice potaknu da na popisu stanovništva slobodno i istinito očituju svoju hrvatsku nacionalnost.

"Na popisu stanovništva naše je pravo izjasniti se Hrvatima, da nam je hrvatski materinski jezik i da smo rimokatolici", izjavio je ranije u tome povodu predsjednik Demokratskog saveza Hrvata u Vojvodini (DSHV) Tomislav Žigmanov.

Dodao je da je hrvatska zajednica priznata manjina u Srbiji koja ima političku stranku zastupljenu u Skupštini Srbije, predstavničko tijelo - Hrvatsko nacionalno vijeće (HNV), još dvije profesionalne institucije, razvijeno školstvo, više od 50 udruga kulture…

Velik dio tih postignuća ona ostvaruje na temelju svoje brojnosti, i zato je važno, istaknuo je Žigmanov, koliko će biti Hrvata.

"O broju Hrvata ovisit će broj vijećnika u HNV-u, kao i vrsta i obujam naših manjinska prava. O postotku pripadnika naše zajednice ovisit će naša politička prava i relevantnost u društvenom životu Srbije", naveo je čelnik DSHV-a.

U sklopu kampanje "Znam tko sam" snimljeno je više spotova, u suradnji s Osječko-baranjskom županijom tiskani su istoimeni bilteni, na brojim okupljanjima i putem društvenih mreža promovirale su se poznate osobe, kao i mnogobrojna postignuća hrvatske zajednice u Srbiji.

Hrvatima – katolicima u Vojvodini obratili su se srijemski biskupi Đuro Gašparović i Fabijan Svalina istaknuvši važnost očitovanja nacionalne i vjerske pripadnosti.

"Ne možemo očekivati velika prava i poštovanje naših različitosti ako ćemo ih sami skrivati, nastojeći se asimilirati ili zatajiti svoje korijene. Neizjašnjavanje na popisu, ili pak izjašnjavanje kao neopredijeljen znači upravo pogaziti vlastiti identitet, a takav čovjek nema što dati niti može obogatiti društvo u kojem živi, te nužno osiromašuje i svoje potomke", napisali su biskupi u javnoj poruci.

Na popisu 2011. u Srbiji se 57.900 građana izjasnilo Hrvatima, što je 12.000 manje nego deset godina ranije.

Po još uvijek važećim podacima Srbija ima oko 7.200.000 stanovnika. Udio Hrvata je 0,81 posto.

U Srbiji u subotu počinje popis stanovništva za koji u vodstvu hrvatske zajednice kažu da će biti presudan za budućnost zajednice, njihov položaj i snagu institucija, zbog čega je vođena intenzivna kampanja pod nazivom "Znam tko sam".

Na prethodnom popisu prije 11 godina 57.900 građana Srbije izjasnilo se Hrvatima, a od toga broja njih oko 47.000 na teritoriju pokrajine Vojvodine.

Hrvatski demograf Dražen Živić izjavio je za hrvatske medije u Vojvodini da demografski trendovi pokazuju da će se broj Hrvata u Srbiji nastaviti smanjivati.

"Strukturna obilježja hrvatske manjinske zajednice takva su da ne ulijevaju preveliki optimizam kada je u pitanju ishod predstojećeg popisa", naveo je Živić tijekom gostovanja u Subotici.

Objasnio je da su vojvođanski demografi radili projekcije kretanja broja stanovnika u Vojvodini, pa tako i Hrvata u ovoj pokrajini.

"Nažalost perspektive nisu dobre. Prema tim projekcijama do sredine ovoga stoljeća broj Hrvata u Vojvodini sa 47.000 pao bi na 25.000. To je doista jedna katastrofična situacija, no na to ukazuju demografske zakonitosti", rekao je Živić.

S druge strane, dodao je, to nije razlog da se ne poduzmu mjere koje bi mogle pomoći da se stanje po pitanju brojnosti hrvatske zajednice već na ovome popisu popravi.

"Ne na način da pređe u pozitivni demografski trend, jer je to nemoguće u kratkom vremenskom razdoblju, ali barem da ta slika ne bude toliko nepovoljna", zaključio je.

Živić je mišljenja da na znatno povećanje broja izjašnjenih Hrvata ne bi utjecalo poboljšanje odnosa Hrvatske i Srbije, koji su trenutačno izuzetno zategnuti.

U tome kontekstu pozdravio je kampanju koju vodstvo hrvatske manjine u Srbiji od 1. rujna vodi pod nazivom "Znam tko sam".

Njezin je cilj da se pripadnici zajednice potaknu da na popisu stanovništva slobodno i istinito očituju svoju hrvatsku nacionalnost.

"Na popisu stanovništva naše je pravo izjasniti se Hrvatima, da nam je hrvatski materinski jezik i da smo rimokatolici", izjavio je ranije u tome povodu predsjednik Demokratskog saveza Hrvata u Vojvodini (DSHV) Tomislav Žigmanov.

Dodao je da je hrvatska zajednica priznata manjina u Srbiji koja ima političku stranku zastupljenu u Skupštini Srbije, predstavničko tijelo - Hrvatsko nacionalno vijeće (HNV), još dvije profesionalne institucije, razvijeno školstvo, više od 50 udruga kulture…

Velik dio tih postignuća ona ostvaruje na temelju svoje brojnosti, i zato je važno, istaknuo je Žigmanov, koliko će biti Hrvata.

"O broju Hrvata ovisit će broj vijećnika u HNV-u, kao i vrsta i obujam naših manjinska prava. O postotku pripadnika naše zajednice ovisit će naša politička prava i relevantnost u društvenom životu Srbije", naveo je čelnik DSHV-a.

U sklopu kampanje "Znam tko sam" snimljeno je više spotova, u suradnji s Osječko-baranjskom županijom tiskani su istoimeni bilteni, na brojim okupljanjima i putem društvenih mreža promovirale su se poznate osobe, kao i mnogobrojna postignuća hrvatske zajednice u Srbiji.

Hrvatima – katolicima u Vojvodini obratili su se srijemski biskupi Đuro Gašparović i Fabijan Svalina istaknuvši važnost očitovanja nacionalne i vjerske pripadnosti.

"Ne možemo očekivati velika prava i poštovanje naših različitosti ako ćemo ih sami skrivati, nastojeći se asimilirati ili zatajiti svoje korijene. Neizjašnjavanje na popisu, ili pak izjašnjavanje kao neopredijeljen znači upravo pogaziti vlastiti identitet, a takav čovjek nema što dati niti može obogatiti društvo u kojem živi, te nužno osiromašuje i svoje potomke", napisali su biskupi u javnoj poruci.

Na popisu 2011. u Srbiji se 57.900 građana izjasnilo Hrvatima, što je 12.000 manje nego deset godina ranije.

Po još uvijek važećim podacima Srbija ima oko 7.200.000 stanovnika. Udio Hrvata je 0,81 posto.

U Srbiji u subotu počinje popis stanovništva za koji u vodstvu hrvatske zajednice kažu da će biti presudan za budućnost zajednice, njihov položaj i snagu institucija, zbog čega je vođena intenzivna kampanja pod nazivom "Znam tko sam".

Na prethodnom popisu prije 11 godina 57.900 građana Srbije izjasnilo se Hrvatima, a od toga broja njih oko 47.000 na teritoriju pokrajine Vojvodine.

Hrvatski demograf Dražen Živić izjavio je za hrvatske medije u Vojvodini da demografski trendovi pokazuju da će se broj Hrvata u Srbiji nastaviti smanjivati.

"Strukturna obilježja hrvatske manjinske zajednice takva su da ne ulijevaju preveliki optimizam kada je u pitanju ishod predstojećeg popisa", naveo je Živić tijekom gostovanja u Subotici.
