U dogovoru s Vučićevim vlastima, navalile strane korporacije na Srbiju istraživati strateške rezerve litija, trenutno najtraženijeg svjetskog minerala nasušnog za proizvodnju čipova. Već je tih multinacionalki tamo nekoliko i zovu se Euro Litij Balkan, LithiumLi Balkan i tome slično, uz pionirski i najdulje prisutni Rio Tinto.

Litijska groznica u Srbiji nije počela jučer, ali tek se nedavno razbuktala u pravu pandemiju prijeteći sudbonosno odrediti čak i rezultate srbijanskih izbora u travnju sljedeće godine.

Vučić i njegovi već dulje vrijeme trljaju brade sluteći masne provizije i zarade od eksploatacije nalazišta litijeve rudače. Strani investitori pohlepno burgijaju tlo i vrše intenzivna podzemna iskapanja u zapadnoj Srbiji, dok tisuće građana u dolini rijeke Jadar i okolici Valjeva već mjesecima kukaju kako im presušuju bunari, voda postaje nepitka zbog povećanih koncentracija bora, natrija i željeza, stoka ugiba, a podzemne vode poplavljuju kuće… Otpočele su nedavno i selidbe tih očajnih ljudi zbog zajedničkih istraživačkih radova Vučićeva i inozemnog podzemlja.

Za sve je zapravo 'kriv' unikatni mineral jadarit, čije je otkriće dovelo do prave pomame interesa multinacionalki za Srbiju, ali i do masovnih protesta u zemlji. Tisuće prosvjednika blokirale su promet u Beogradu, Novom Sadu i drugim gradovima u Srbiji prosvjedujući protiv projekta eksploatiranja litija. Pokret Ekološki ustanak, koji okuplja desetak nevladinih udruga i građanskih inicijativa, želi spriječiti donošenje zakona o eksproprijaciji i zapravo onemogućiti projekt masovnog iskapanja rude koji već u začetku jednako gazi i preko leševa i preko živih ljudi. Priča je strasna, prožeta vonjem brzog i golemog bogatstva, te brojnim ugroženim egzistencijama i sukobljenim interesima. Jako podsjeća na 'zlatne groznice' kakve su svojedobno obuzimale Divlji zapad.

Jadarit u Srbiji je, vjerojatno, svjetski unikum: rudača koja je dobila ime po rijeci Jadar spada među najmlađe otkrivene minerale na svijetu, a dominantno sadrži litij i bor. Kompanija Rio Tinto otkrila ga je 2004. godine istražujući oblast zapadne Srbije. Svojedobno je nazivan i "kriptonitom” zbog njegova neobičnog sastava koji podsjeća na SF film o Supermanu. BBC je 2007. objavio kako su istraživači kompanije Rio Tinto otkrili u Srbiji neobičan mineral i zatražili pomoć od dr. Chrisa Stanleya, mineralologa u londonskom Prirodnjačkom muzeju: nisu ga mogli usporediti s ičim ranije poznatim. Kao novi mineral u internacionalnoj klasifikaciji ubrzo je i službeno priznat, no značenje toga otkrića postalo je spektakularno tek s naknadnim spoznajama da će litij kojega obilato sadrži uskoro u svijetu postati važniji od nafte. Kao osnovna komponenta za proizvodnju baterija za mobilne telefone, laptope, te baterije električnih automobila kojima se masovno okreće svjetska autoindustrija, nepoznati mineral iz srpskog podzemlja brzo je zasjao u očima političkih i inih moćnika sjajem novog zlata.

Zanimljivo je da se litij do otkrića jadarita, minerala koji ga sadrži u visokom postotku, dosad dobivao uglavnom iz stijena i preradom slane vode: u tim oblicima njegovim najvećim rezervama u Europi raspolagale su uglavnom Njemačka i Češka. Prema procjenama Geološkog zavoda SAD-a, Srbija se trenutno nalazi na dvanaestom mjestu u svijetu po lociranim rezervama litija koje su procijenjene na 1,2 milijuna tona. Osim u dolini rijeke Jadar, litija ima i u predjelima planine Cer na sjeverozapadu zemlje, no ne u formi jadarita, nego u obliku dominantno prisutnom i u drugim zemljama.

Prijepori oko potencijalno velikoga blaga u Srbiji se ne vode samo oko ekološke komponente projekta, nego i oko načina eksploatacije tolikih zaliha litija. Mnogi smatraju da tom potencijalu treba pristupiti strateški promišljeno, te u zemlji sagraditi tvornice za proizvodnju baterija i druge srodne industrije koje će otvarati radna mjesta i školovati ljude za kompleksnija znanja, a ne samo iskapati i izvoziti nađenu sirovinu. Preradom litija kao nusprodukt se dobiva i još neke korisne sastojke poput borne kiseline koja se koristi u kozmetici, pa se u zemlju priziva i investitore iz ove proizvodne game. Problem je, međutim, što se Vučićevim dužnosnicima i njihovim obećanjima jako malo vjeruje ili uopće ne vjeruje, premda se razmeću procjenama da Srbija raspolaže jadaritom za proizvodnju čak milijun električnih vozila godišnje. Koruptivni politički interes uvijek je isti i stremi što bržim provizijama, a ne izgradnji tvornica i novih tehnologija.

Druga je suspektna komponenta cijelog projekta veliki strah  građana da međunarodna rudarska korporacija Rio Tinto neće poštovati ekološke standarde pri eksploataciji jadarita u Srbiji. Na to, osim iskazane brutalnosti već u istraživačkoj fazi radova, jasno upućuje i dosadašnji 'ugled' tvrtke na svjetskom tržištu, gdje je bila višekratno suočena s optužbama da beskrupulozno uništava životnu sredinu ljudi i krši ljudska prava. Zbog njihove besprizorne eksploatacije rudnika zlata i bakra na otoku Bougainville, u Papui Novoj Gvineji, svojedobno je čak izbio i građanski rat koji je od 1988. do 1997. godine za sobom ostavio oko 20 tisuća mrtvih.Ovu anglo-australsku rudarsku megakompaniju lani su optužili i kako su pri eksploatacijskim radovima u Zapadnoj Australiji brutalno uništili i dva aboridžinska svetišta. Tamo gdje je najsvetiji golem i brz novac mjesta za druge svetinje obično nigdje nema.

U dogovoru s Vučićevim vlastima, navalile strane korporacije na Srbiju istraživati strateške rezerve litija, trenutno najtraženijeg svjetskog minerala nasušnog za proizvodnju čipova. Već je tih multinacionalki tamo nekoliko i zovu se Euro Litij Balkan, LithiumLi Balkan i tome slično, uz pionirski i najdulje prisutni Rio Tinto.

Litijska groznica u Srbiji nije počela jučer, ali tek se nedavno razbuktala u pravu pandemiju prijeteći sudbonosno odrediti čak i rezultate srbijanskih izbora u travnju sljedeće godine.

Vučić i njegovi već dulje vrijeme trljaju brade sluteći masne provizije i zarade od eksploatacije nalazišta litijeve rudače. Strani investitori pohlepno burgijaju tlo i vrše intenzivna podzemna iskapanja u zapadnoj Srbiji, dok tisuće građana u dolini rijeke Jadar i okolici Valjeva već mjesecima kukaju kako im presušuju bunari, voda postaje nepitka zbog povećanih koncentracija bora, natrija i željeza, stoka ugiba, a podzemne vode poplavljuju kuće… Otpočele su nedavno i selidbe tih očajnih ljudi zbog zajedničkih istraživačkih radova Vučićeva i inozemnog podzemlja.

Za sve je zapravo 'kriv' unikatni mineral jadarit, čije je otkriće dovelo do prave pomame interesa multinacionalki za Srbiju, ali i do masovnih protesta u zemlji. Tisuće prosvjednika blokirale su promet u Beogradu, Novom Sadu i drugim gradovima u Srbiji prosvjedujući protiv projekta eksploatiranja litija. Pokret Ekološki ustanak, koji okuplja desetak nevladinih udruga i građanskih inicijativa, želi spriječiti donošenje zakona o eksproprijaciji i zapravo onemogućiti projekt masovnog iskapanja rude koji već u začetku jednako gazi i preko leševa i preko živih ljudi. Priča je strasna, prožeta vonjem brzog i golemog bogatstva, te brojnim ugroženim egzistencijama i sukobljenim interesima. Jako podsjeća na 'zlatne groznice' kakve su svojedobno obuzimale Divlji zapad.

Jadarit u Srbiji je, vjerojatno, svjetski unikum: rudača koja je dobila ime po rijeci Jadar spada među najmlađe otkrivene minerale na svijetu, a dominantno sadrži litij i bor. Kompanija Rio Tinto otkrila ga je 2004. godine istražujući oblast zapadne Srbije. Svojedobno je nazivan i "kriptonitom” zbog njegova neobičnog sastava koji podsjeća na SF film o Supermanu. BBC je 2007. objavio kako su istraživači kompanije Rio Tinto otkrili u Srbiji neobičan mineral i zatražili pomoć od dr. Chrisa Stanleya, mineralologa u londonskom Prirodnjačkom muzeju: nisu ga mogli usporediti s ičim ranije poznatim. Kao novi mineral u internacionalnoj klasifikaciji ubrzo je i službeno priznat, no značenje toga otkrića postalo je spektakularno tek s naknadnim spoznajama da će litij kojega obilato sadrži uskoro u svijetu postati važniji od nafte. Kao osnovna komponenta za proizvodnju baterija za mobilne telefone, laptope, te baterije električnih automobila kojima se masovno okreće svjetska autoindustrija, nepoznati mineral iz srpskog podzemlja brzo je zasjao u očima političkih i inih moćnika sjajem novog zlata.

Zanimljivo je da se litij do otkrića jadarita, minerala koji ga sadrži u visokom postotku, dosad dobivao uglavnom iz stijena i preradom slane vode: u tim oblicima njegovim najvećim rezervama u Europi raspolagale su uglavnom Njemačka i Češka. Prema procjenama Geološkog zavoda SAD-a, Srbija se trenutno nalazi na dvanaestom mjestu u svijetu po lociranim rezervama litija koje su procijenjene na 1,2 milijuna tona. Osim u dolini rijeke Jadar, litija ima i u predjelima planine Cer na sjeverozapadu zemlje, no ne u formi jadarita, nego u obliku dominantno prisutnom i u drugim zemljama.

Prijepori oko potencijalno velikoga blaga u Srbiji se ne vode samo oko ekološke komponente projekta, nego i oko načina eksploatacije tolikih zaliha litija. Mnogi smatraju da tom potencijalu treba pristupiti strateški promišljeno, te u zemlji sagraditi tvornice za proizvodnju baterija i druge srodne industrije koje će otvarati radna mjesta i školovati ljude za kompleksnija znanja, a ne samo iskapati i izvoziti nađenu sirovinu. Preradom litija kao nusprodukt se dobiva i još neke korisne sastojke poput borne kiseline koja se koristi u kozmetici, pa se u zemlju priziva i investitore iz ove proizvodne game. Problem je, međutim, što se Vučićevim dužnosnicima i njihovim obećanjima jako malo vjeruje ili uopće ne vjeruje, premda se razmeću procjenama da Srbija raspolaže jadaritom za proizvodnju čak milijun električnih vozila godišnje. Koruptivni politički interes uvijek je isti i stremi što bržim provizijama, a ne izgradnji tvornica i novih tehnologija.

Druga je suspektna komponenta cijelog projekta veliki strah  građana da međunarodna rudarska korporacija Rio Tinto neće poštovati ekološke standarde pri eksploataciji jadarita u Srbiji. Na to, osim iskazane brutalnosti već u istraživačkoj fazi radova, jasno upućuje i dosadašnji 'ugled' tvrtke na svjetskom tržištu, gdje je bila višekratno suočena s optužbama da beskrupulozno uništava životnu sredinu ljudi i krši ljudska prava. Zbog njihove besprizorne eksploatacije rudnika zlata i bakra na otoku Bougainville, u Papui Novoj Gvineji, svojedobno je čak izbio i građanski rat koji je od 1988. do 1997. godine za sobom ostavio oko 20 tisuća mrtvih.Ovu anglo-australsku rudarsku megakompaniju lani su optužili i kako su pri eksploatacijskim radovima u Zapadnoj Australiji brutalno uništili i dva aboridžinska svetišta. Tamo gdje je najsvetiji golem i brz novac mjesta za druge svetinje obično nigdje nema.
