Virusni imunolog Ilija Brizić u Novom danu N1 televizije govorio je o cjepivu koje 24. veljače stiže u Hrvatsku.

Pojasnio je da se Novavaxovo cjepivo bazira na starijoj tehnologiji, a na takvoj tehnologiji bazira se i cjepivo za hepatitis B.

“Prethodna cjepiva – mRNA i vektorska – nose genetsku poruku za jedan protein koronavirusa, protein šiljak, dok je novo cjepivo gotov proizvod, ima protein u sebi. Ciljat će isti dio virusa – protein šiljak, ali drugačiji je način dostave. Razlikuje se i način na koji cjepivo stimulira imunološki odgovor. Kod prethodnih cjepiva potiče ga virusni vektor ili mRNA molekula. Proteinsko cjepivo ima dobru zaštitu. Osim toga, ljudi sada imaju još jednu opciju – cjepivo koje je korišteno i prije, za hepatitis ili zooster”, rekao je Brizić, dodavši da je kompanija dosad proizvodila cjepivo za gripu koje je pokazivalo dobre rezultate.

Nuspojave su standardne, a cjepivo je predviđeno za primanje u dvije doze.

“Novavax se neće računati kao prvo cjepivo, kompanija traži dozvolu da se primijenjuje kao booster doza”, kaže virusni imunolog.

Smatra da je cijepljenje građana trebala biti glavna strategija.

“Države koje su nam primjer poduzele su aktivne mjere i stimulirale cijepljenje ljudi. Zašto smo mi zakazali, teže je pitanje. Cijepljenje ljudi treba biti glavna strategija jer vidimo da je manja smrtnost ako država ima više cijepljenih”, smatra.

Nije neuobičajeno, kaže, da se ljudi cijepe svake godine za neke patogene, poput gripe – cijepe se trideset godina zaredom.

“Što se tiče cjepiva adaptiranom za omikrom, ako bi pokazalo širu zaštitu, bilo bi korisno cjepiti se njime sljedeću jesen. No, imamo tek preliminarne podatke, prave podatke tek trebamo pričekati”, govori virusni imunolog Brizić.

Hoće li omikron postati neka vrsta endemskog virusa ključno je pitanje na koje još nema odgovora, istaknuo je. “Možemo reći da su već nastale nove varijate iz omikrona, jedna od subvarijanta koja se širi u Danskoj ima već 20 mutacija u odnosu na omikron i može se reći da je nova varijanta. Virus evoluira veoma brzo. Pojava omikrona bila je veliko iznenađenje, teško je uopće reći što je sljedeće. Sve više procijepljenih i onih koji su preboljeli pridonijet će kolektivnoj imunosti. No, nitko ne može reći sa sigurnošću hoće li to spriječiti širenje virusa”, rekao je.

Na pitanje jesu li covid-potvrde korisne ili ih treba ukinuti, odgovorio je: “Slijedili smo primjere država u kojima se pokazalo da su korisne, ali smo to koristili veoma labavo. Koliko su korisne u Hrvastkoj, ne znam. Bio sam za njih, ali u inicijalnoj fazi je trebalo potaknuti što više ljudi da se cijepi i primijenjivati covid-potrde u većoj mjeri.”

Cijepljenje školske djece virusni imunolog podipire. “Djeca su puno otpornija na bolest, ali to ne znači da je nema. Veća je korist cijepljenja kod djece nego da ga prebole. Ima dokaza da covid potiče neki druge bolesti i ne znamo kakve će biti dugoročne posljedice”, rekao je.

Virusni imunolog Ilija Brizić u Novom danu N1 televizije govorio je o cjepivu koje 24. veljače stiže u Hrvatsku.

Pojasnio je da se Novavaxovo cjepivo bazira na starijoj tehnologiji, a na takvoj tehnologiji bazira se i cjepivo za hepatitis B.

“Prethodna cjepiva – mRNA i vektorska – nose genetsku poruku za jedan protein koronavirusa, protein šiljak, dok je novo cjepivo gotov proizvod, ima protein u sebi. Ciljat će isti dio virusa – protein šiljak, ali drugačiji je način dostave. Razlikuje se i način na koji cjepivo stimulira imunološki odgovor. Kod prethodnih cjepiva potiče ga virusni vektor ili mRNA molekula. Proteinsko cjepivo ima dobru zaštitu. Osim toga, ljudi sada imaju još jednu opciju – cjepivo koje je korišteno i prije, za hepatitis ili zooster”, rekao je Brizić, dodavši da je kompanija dosad proizvodila cjepivo za gripu koje je pokazivalo dobre rezultate.

Nuspojave su standardne, a cjepivo je predviđeno za primanje u dvije doze.

“Novavax se neće računati kao prvo cjepivo, kompanija traži dozvolu da se primijenjuje kao booster doza”, kaže virusni imunolog.

Smatra da je cijepljenje građana trebala biti glavna strategija.

“Države koje su nam primjer poduzele su aktivne mjere i stimulirale cijepljenje ljudi. Zašto smo mi zakazali, teže je pitanje. Cijepljenje ljudi treba biti glavna strategija jer vidimo da je manja smrtnost ako država ima više cijepljenih”, smatra.

Nije neuobičajeno, kaže, da se ljudi cijepe svake godine za neke patogene, poput gripe – cijepe se trideset godina zaredom.

“Što se tiče cjepiva adaptiranom za omikrom, ako bi pokazalo širu zaštitu, bilo bi korisno cjepiti se njime sljedeću jesen. No, imamo tek preliminarne podatke, prave podatke tek trebamo pričekati”, govori virusni imunolog Brizić.

Hoće li omikron postati neka vrsta endemskog virusa ključno je pitanje na koje još nema odgovora, istaknuo je. “Možemo reći da su već nastale nove varijate iz omikrona, jedna od subvarijanta koja se širi u Danskoj ima već 20 mutacija u odnosu na omikron i može se reći da je nova varijanta. Virus evoluira veoma brzo. Pojava omikrona bila je veliko iznenađenje, teško je uopće reći što je sljedeće. Sve više procijepljenih i onih koji su preboljeli pridonijet će kolektivnoj imunosti. No, nitko ne može reći sa sigurnošću hoće li to spriječiti širenje virusa”, rekao je.

Na pitanje jesu li covid-potvrde korisne ili ih treba ukinuti, odgovorio je: “Slijedili smo primjere država u kojima se pokazalo da su korisne, ali smo to koristili veoma labavo. Koliko su korisne u Hrvastkoj, ne znam. Bio sam za njih, ali u inicijalnoj fazi je trebalo potaknuti što više ljudi da se cijepi i primijenjivati covid-potrde u većoj mjeri.”

Cijepljenje školske djece virusni imunolog podipire. “Djeca su puno otpornija na bolest, ali to ne znači da je nema. Veća je korist cijepljenja kod djece nego da ga prebole. Ima dokaza da covid potiče neki druge bolesti i ne znamo kakve će biti dugoročne posljedice”, rekao je.

Virusni imunolog Ilija Brizić u Novom danu N1 televizije govorio je o cjepivu koje 24. veljače stiže u Hrvatsku.

Pojasnio je da se Novavaxovo cjepivo bazira na starijoj tehnologiji, a na takvoj tehnologiji bazira se i cjepivo za hepatitis B.

“Prethodna cjepiva – mRNA i vektorska – nose genetsku poruku za jedan protein koronavirusa, protein šiljak, dok je novo cjepivo gotov proizvod, ima protein u sebi. Ciljat će isti dio virusa – protein šiljak, ali drugačiji je način dostave. Razlikuje se i način na koji cjepivo stimulira imunološki odgovor. Kod prethodnih cjepiva potiče ga virusni vektor ili mRNA molekula. Proteinsko cjepivo ima dobru zaštitu.
