Uskoro ćemo u Hrvatskoj doseći broj od milijun ljudi koji su do sada bili pozitivni na koronavirus. S obzirom na novi popis stanovništva to znači da se skoro jedna trećina građana Hrvatske od početka pandemije zarazila SARS-CoV-2 virusom.  

Govorimo, naravno samo o onima koji su službeno testirani i evidentirani. Kad toj brojci pribrojimo sve one koji su COVID prohodali bez simptoma ne znajući da su zaraženi, kao i one koji se nisu testirali ali su bili bolesni ili su radili kućne testove bez da su se javili svojim liječnicima, čini se kako je preko dvije trećine građana bilo inficirano koronavirusom.  

- Taj tzv. tamni broj oboljelih za koji nemamo podatke teško je precizno procijeniti, no mislim da nećemo pogriješiti ako kažemo da kod više od 80 posto građana Hrvatske postoje antitijela na virus koji uzrokuje Covid-19. Iako je to velika brojka i dalje imamo bazen necijepljenih i nezaraženih od 15 ili 20 posto stanovništva, koji je dovoljno velik da se zaraza i dalje širi – kaže prof. dr. Zlatko Trobonjača imunolog s Medicinskog fakulteta Sveučilišta u Rijeci.

Naš sugovornik napominje kako samo postojanje antitijela, bilo da su nastala cijepljenjem ili preboljenjem COVID-a, ne znači da se osoba nanovo neće zaraziti omikronom.

- Od teških oblika bolesti i teške kliničke slike su prilično zaštićeni, ali ne i od nove infekcije. Osoba koja se na jesen zarazila delta sojem, opet se sad može zaraziti omikronom iako ima antitijela na deltu. To vidimo svaki dan – kaže liječnik. Podsjeća kako je puno bajki ispričano o imunitetu krda, međutim da je taj kolektivni imunitet iznimno teško postići kad se virus stalno mijenja. 

Kad jednom dođemo do imuniteta krda, on će biti plaćen visokom cijenom umrlih. 

„Epidemija bi odavno bila zaustavljena da umjesto omikrona imamo onaj stari wuhanski soj. Međutim, virus  je značajno mutirao, a svaka njegova nova mutacija, nova je opasnost budući imunitet koji stekneš na jedan soj ne štiti od zaraze drugim koji je značajno drukčiji, što vidimo na primjeru omikrona. Praktički je to nova bolest – objašnjava prof. Trobonjača.

Hrvatska je dosta neuspješna u sprječavanju smrtnosti od COVID-a u odnosu prosjek drugih zemalja. Vrlo je zabrinjavajuće da unatoč dominaciji benignijeg soja omikrona ljudi nastavljaju umirati kao što umirali tijekom delta vala. Razlike u broju smrti tijekom omikron vala kod nas su drastično povećane u odnosu na prosječni broj smrti u ostalim zemljama EU-a.

 - Jedan od temeljnih razloga za veliku smrtnost je jako loša procijepljenost. Još smo prošlo ljeto upozoravali da dolazi četvrti delta val i da se moramo cijepiti, ali naši ljudi nisu odreagirali kako treba. Ušli smo u delta val s mizernom procijepljenošću. U prosincu smo bili među pet najgorih zemalja po smrtnosti, budući da je delta izuzetno patogen virus i vodi u veliku smrtnost. Ova trenutna velika smrtnost dijelom je još uvijek posljedica tog delta vala. Naravno i sam omikron izaziva smrtnost ako se širi u većoj mjeri, s time da treba ukazati i na jako lošu procijepljenost u starijoj populaciji – podsjeća prof. Trobonjača.

Dok zemlje poput Danske, Portugala ili Islanda imaju gotovo 100 posto procijepljenost u populaciji 60 plus, mi imamo procijepljenost oko 77 posto, što znači da gotovo svaki četvrti čovjek u toj dobi nije cijepljen.

Uskoro ćemo u Hrvatskoj doseći broj od milijun ljudi koji su do sada bili pozitivni na koronavirus. S obzirom na novi popis stanovništva to znači da se skoro jedna trećina građana Hrvatske od početka pandemije zarazila SARS-CoV-2 virusom.  

Govorimo, naravno samo o onima koji su službeno testirani i evidentirani. Kad toj brojci pribrojimo sve one koji su COVID prohodali bez simptoma ne znajući da su zaraženi, kao i one koji se nisu testirali ali su bili bolesni ili su radili kućne testove bez da su se javili svojim liječnicima, čini se kako je preko dvije trećine građana bilo inficirano koronavirusom.  

- Taj tzv. tamni broj oboljelih za koji nemamo podatke teško je precizno procijeniti, no mislim da nećemo pogriješiti ako kažemo da kod više od 80 posto građana Hrvatske postoje antitijela na virus koji uzrokuje Covid-19. Iako je to velika brojka i dalje imamo bazen necijepljenih i nezaraženih od 15 ili 20 posto stanovništva, koji je dovoljno velik da se zaraza i dalje širi – kaže prof. dr. Zlatko Trobonjača imunolog s Medicinskog fakulteta Sveučilišta u Rijeci.

Naš sugovornik napominje kako samo postojanje antitijela, bilo da su nastala cijepljenjem ili preboljenjem COVID-a, ne znači da se osoba nanovo neće zaraziti omikronom.

- Od teških oblika bolesti i teške kliničke slike su prilično zaštićeni, ali ne i od nove infekcije. Osoba koja se na jesen zarazila delta sojem, opet se sad može zaraziti omikronom iako ima antitijela na deltu. To vidimo svaki dan – kaže liječnik. Podsjeća kako je puno bajki ispričano o imunitetu krda, međutim da je taj kolektivni imunitet iznimno teško postići kad se virus stalno mijenja. 

Kad jednom dođemo do imuniteta krda, on će biti plaćen visokom cijenom umrlih. 

„Epidemija bi odavno bila zaustavljena da umjesto omikrona imamo onaj stari wuhanski soj. Međutim, virus  je značajno mutirao, a svaka njegova nova mutacija, nova je opasnost budući imunitet koji stekneš na jedan soj ne štiti od zaraze drugim koji je značajno drukčiji, što vidimo na primjeru omikrona. Praktički je to nova bolest – objašnjava prof. Trobonjača.

Hrvatska je dosta neuspješna u sprječavanju smrtnosti od COVID-a u odnosu prosjek drugih zemalja. Vrlo je zabrinjavajuće da unatoč dominaciji benignijeg soja omikrona ljudi nastavljaju umirati kao što umirali tijekom delta vala. Razlike u broju smrti tijekom omikron vala kod nas su drastično povećane u odnosu na prosječni broj smrti u ostalim zemljama EU-a.

 - Jedan od temeljnih razloga za veliku smrtnost je jako loša procijepljenost. Još smo prošlo ljeto upozoravali da dolazi četvrti delta val i da se moramo cijepiti, ali naši ljudi nisu odreagirali kako treba. Ušli smo u delta val s mizernom procijepljenošću. U prosincu smo bili među pet najgorih zemalja po smrtnosti, budući da je delta izuzetno patogen virus i vodi u veliku smrtnost. Ova trenutna velika smrtnost dijelom je još uvijek posljedica tog delta vala. Naravno i sam omikron izaziva smrtnost ako se širi u većoj mjeri, s time da treba ukazati i na jako lošu procijepljenost u starijoj populaciji – podsjeća prof. Trobonjača.

Dok zemlje poput Danske, Portugala ili Islanda imaju gotovo 100 posto procijepljenost u populaciji 60 plus, mi imamo procijepljenost oko 77 posto, što znači da gotovo svaki četvrti čovjek u toj dobi nije cijepljen.
