Odlične vijesti stižu za splitski sport. Konačno će doći do znatnog iskoraka, čeka nas pravi "boom" sportske infrastrukture. Brojni sportski klubovi i vrhunski sportaši, kao i oni najmlađi koji rade prve korake, konačno bi mogli imati sve potrebne uvjete za razvoj, no postoji jedan veliki ali...
Kako doznajemo ideja je čelnika Grada Splita da se streljana u Stobreču preseli na Mosor, u Sitno Donje, a da se na prostoru streljane izgrade nove dvorane. Onima koji nisu nikad bili u stobrečkoj streljani valja naglasiti da je na tom prostoru od više od 20.000 metara četvornih moguće izgraditi, čisto za primjer, Veliku dvoranu Gripe plus dvije manje trening dvorane.
Splitskom sportu nasušno nedostaje objekata za svakodnevni rad, problem će s vremenom biti još veći kada škole pređu u jednu smjenu, postojeći kapaciteti biti će kronično nedostatni za primiti sve sportaše u poslijepodnevnim satima. Stoga je ideja da u Stobreču niknu "nove Gripe" doista impresivna i spasonosna za splitski sport.
No, to naravno nešto i košta, a ideja je da se projekt financira kroz organizaciju Europskih igara za koje je Grad Split već najavio kandidaturu. Dogradonačelnik Antonio Kuzmanić i prvi operativac za sport u Gradu Splitu Igor Maretić rade punom parom na tome da se Europske Igre 2027. organiziraju u Splitu. Spremni su i čekaju odgovor Vlade Republike Hrvatske.
Imaju i punu podršku Hrvatskog olimpijskog odbora na čelu sa Zlatkom Matešom, a ideja je izašla iz Splitskog kluba olimpijaca koji također vuku projekt.
Činilo se da je priča gotova stvar kada je u jeku predizborne kampanje, u onim ponovljenim lokalnim izborima u Splitu, i kandidat HDZ-a Zoran Đogaš Europske igre nudio kao jednu od okosnica svog programa. Stekao se dojam da ima podršku Vlade na čelu s premijerom Andrejom Plenkovićem. No, pobijedio je opet Ivica Puljak, a kandidatura Splita zapela je negdje u "Vladinim policama".
Čeka se odgovor, vlada šutnja. Europske igre ogromni su višemilijunski projekt za koji ugovor o domaćinstvu potpisuje baš vlada određene države. Ove godine domaćin je Poljska, a čelnici Europskih olimpijskih odbora raširenih ruku čekaju Split. No još samo kratko, mjesec - dva, odluka mora pasti, čeka se zeleno svjeto Vlade.
Za Igre, ali i za projekte Grada Splita koji su u planu. U tom bi se slučaju otvorio put za realizaciju premještanja streljane i izgradnje novih sportskih objekata. Kako doznajemo u Banovini su izračunali da bi kompletna obnova postojeće sportske infrastrukture i "projekt Stobreč" stao u dvadesetak milijuna eura. Uz "injekciju" iz "državne kase", a u velikom projektu "novih Mediteranskih igara", to ne bi trebao biti problem.
Split je na prekretnici. Kako je rekao Željko Jerkov, splitski olimpijac koji je i "bacio udicu" za splitsko domaćinstvo Europskih igara:
- Ovo je trenutak kada Split može postati mali velegrad, ili ostati velika provincija.
Jedan je preduvjet da se sve ovo dogodi, "zeleno svjetlo" i financijska "injekcija" iz Vlade.

Kako doznajemo ideja je čelnika Grada Splita da se streljana u Stobreču preseli na Mosor, u Sitno Donje, a da se na prostoru streljane izgrade nove dvorane. Onima koji nisu nikad bili u stobrečkoj streljani valja naglasiti da je na tom prostoru od više od 20.000 metara četvornih moguće izgraditi, čisto za primjer, Veliku dvoranu Gripe plus dvije manje trening dvorane.
Splitskom sportu nasušno nedostaje objekata za svakodnevni rad, problem će s vremenom biti još veći kada škole pređu u jednu smjenu, postojeći kapaciteti biti će kronično nedostatni za primiti sve sportaše u poslijepodnevnim satima. Stoga je ideja da u Stobreču niknu "nove Gripe" doista impresivna i spasonosna za splitski sport.
No, to naravno nešto i košta, a ideja je da se projekt financira kroz organizaciju Europskih igara za koje je Grad Split već najavio kandidaturu. Dogradonačelnik Antonio Kuzmanić i prvi operativac za sport u Gradu Splitu Igor Maretić rade punom parom na tome da se Europske Igre 2027. organiziraju u Splitu. Spremni su i čekaju odgovor Vlade Republike Hrvatske.
Imaju i punu podršku Hrvatskog olimpijskog odbora na čelu sa Zlatkom Matešom, a ideja je izašla iz Splitskog kluba olimpijaca koji također vuku projekt.
Činilo se da je priča gotova stvar kada je u jeku predizborne kampanje, u onim ponovljenim lokalnim izborima u Splitu, i kandidat HDZ-a Zoran Đogaš Europske igre nudio kao jednu od okosnica svog programa. Stekao se dojam da ima podršku Vlade na čelu s premijerom Andrejom Plenkovićem. No, pobijedio je opet Ivica Puljak, a kandidatura Splita zapela je negdje u "Vladinim policama".
Čeka se odgovor, vlada šutnja. Europske igre ogromni su višemilijunski projekt za koji ugovor o domaćinstvu potpisuje baš vlada određene države. Ove godine domaćin je Poljska, a čelnici Europskih olimpijskih odbora raširenih ruku čekaju Split. No još samo kratko, mjesec - dva, odluka mora pasti, čeka se zeleno svjeto Vlade.
Za Igre, ali i za projekte Grada Splita koji su u planu. U tom bi se slučaju otvorio put za realizaciju premještanja streljane i izgradnje novih sportskih objekata. Kako doznajemo u Banovini su izračunali da bi kompletna obnova postojeće sportske infrastrukture i "projekt Stobreč" stao u dvadesetak milijuna eura. Uz "injekciju" iz "državne kase", a u velikom projektu "novih Mediteranskih igara", to ne bi trebao biti problem.
Split je na prekretnici. Kako je rekao Željko Jerkov, splitski olimpijac koji je i "bacio udicu" za splitsko domaćinstvo Europskih igara:
- Ovo je trenutak kada Split može postati mali velegrad, ili ostati velika provincija.
Jedan je preduvjet da se sve ovo dogodi, "zeleno svjetlo" i financijska "injekcija" iz Vlade.
