Iako je u srijedu u javnost procurio e-mail kojega je navodno napisala kineska tenisačica Peng Shuai, a u kojem stoji kako se nalazi u svojoj kući te se odmara, u teniskoj zajednici raste zabrinutost za sudbinu 35-godišnje igračice koja je početkom ovoga mjeseca optužila bivšeg dopredsjednika vlade najmnogoljudnije zemlje svijeta Thanga Gaolija da ju je prije tri godine prisiljavao na spolne odnose.

Kineska televizijska postaja CGTN objavila je e-mail kojega je navodno napisala Peng Shuai, ali bez mogućnosti provjeravanja autentičnosti poruke.

"Informacija, posebice vezana uz optužbe za seksualno napastovanje, lažna je. Nisam ni nestala niti sam u opasnosti. Samo se odmaram kod kuće, sve je u redu. Hvala još jednom na zabrinutosti", stoji u e-mailu kojega je Peng Shuai navodno poslala.

Peng Shuai je putem svog službenog Weibo računa (kineske inačice twittera) 2. studenoga objavila optužbe protiv Zhanga Gaolija, koji je od 2013. do 2018. bio zamjenik kineskog premijera, no ta je poruka vrlo brzo izbrisana. Otada tenisačica nije viđena u javnosti niti je poslala neku drugu poruku.

"Objava kineskih državnih medija samo povećava moju zabrinutost u vezi njezine sigurnosti i mjesta gdje se nalazi. Teško mi je povjerovati kako je ona napisala e-mail kojega smo primili. Pokušao sam ju kontaktirati putem različitih informacijskih kanala, ali bez uspjeha", napisao je prvi čovjek WTA Steve Simon.

Podršku Peng Shuai, bivšoj prvoj igračici svijeta u igri parova, poslali su i kolege profesionalci.

"Šokirana sam i uznemirena zbog onoga što se događa Peng Shuai. Njezina se situacija mora istražiti i mi ne smijemo šutjeti", objavila je legendarna američka tenisačica Serena Williams.

"Nadam se kako će Peng Shuai ubrzo biti pronađena, jer ovdje nije riječ o teniskom meču nego o ljudskom životu", oglasio se i trenutačno treći igrač svijeta Nijemac Alexander Zverev.

Oglasio se i William Nee iz Udruge branitelja ljudskih prava u Kini.

"Posljednje objave Peng Shuai ne bi se trebale uzeti zdravo za gotovo. Kineska vlada ima dugu povijest zatvaranja ljudi upletenih u kontroverzne slučajeve sprečavajući ih u slobodnom govoru i prisiljavajući ih na objave za javnost", napisao je Nee.

Iako je u srijedu u javnost procurio e-mail kojega je navodno napisala kineska tenisačica Peng Shuai, a u kojem stoji kako se nalazi u svojoj kući te se odmara, u teniskoj zajednici raste zabrinutost za sudbinu 35-godišnje igračice koja je početkom ovoga mjeseca optužila bivšeg dopredsjednika vlade najmnogoljudnije zemlje svijeta Thanga Gaolija da ju je prije tri godine prisiljavao na spolne odnose.

Kineska televizijska postaja CGTN objavila je e-mail kojega je navodno napisala Peng Shuai, ali bez mogućnosti provjeravanja autentičnosti poruke.

"Informacija, posebice vezana uz optužbe za seksualno napastovanje, lažna je. Nisam ni nestala niti sam u opasnosti. Samo se odmaram kod kuće, sve je u redu. Hvala još jednom na zabrinutosti", stoji u e-mailu kojega je Peng Shuai navodno poslala.

Peng Shuai je putem svog službenog Weibo računa (kineske inačice twittera) 2. studenoga objavila optužbe protiv Zhanga Gaolija, koji je od 2013. do 2018. bio zamjenik kineskog premijera, no ta je poruka vrlo brzo izbrisana. Otada tenisačica nije viđena u javnosti niti je poslala neku drugu poruku.

"Objava kineskih državnih medija samo povećava moju zabrinutost u vezi njezine sigurnosti i mjesta gdje se nalazi. Teško mi je povjerovati kako je ona napisala e-mail kojega smo primili. Pokušao sam ju kontaktirati putem različitih informacijskih kanala, ali bez uspjeha", napisao je prvi čovjek WTA Steve Simon.

Podršku Peng Shuai, bivšoj prvoj igračici svijeta u igri parova, poslali su i kolege profesionalci.

"Šokirana sam i uznemirena zbog onoga što se događa Peng Shuai. Njezina se situacija mora istražiti i mi ne smijemo šutjeti", objavila je legendarna američka tenisačica Serena Williams.

"Nadam se kako će Peng Shuai ubrzo biti pronađena, jer ovdje nije riječ o teniskom meču nego o ljudskom životu", oglasio se i trenutačno treći igrač svijeta Nijemac Alexander Zverev.

Oglasio se i William Nee iz Udruge branitelja ljudskih prava u Kini.

"Posljednje objave Peng Shuai ne bi se trebale uzeti zdravo za gotovo. Kineska vlada ima dugu povijest zatvaranja ljudi upletenih u kontroverzne slučajeve sprečavajući ih u slobodnom govoru i prisiljavajući ih na objave za javnost", napisao je Nee.

Iako je u srijedu u javnost procurio e-mail kojega je navodno napisala kineska tenisačica Peng Shuai, a u kojem stoji kako se nalazi u svojoj kući te se odmara, u teniskoj zajednici raste zabrinutost za sudbinu 35-godišnje igračice koja je početkom ovoga mjeseca optužila bivšeg dopredsjednika vlade najmnogoljudnije zemlje svijeta Thanga Gaolija da ju je prije tri godine prisiljavao na spolne odnose.

Kineska televizijska postaja CGTN objavila je e-mail kojega je navodno napisala Peng Shuai, ali bez mogućnosti provjeravanja autentičnosti poruke.

"Informacija, posebice vezana uz optužbe za seksualno napastovanje, lažna je. Nisam ni nestala niti sam u opasnosti. Samo se odmaram kod kuće, sve je u redu. Hvala još jednom na zabrinutosti", stoji u e-mailu kojega je Peng Shuai navodno po...
