Predsjednik Međunarodnog olimpijskog odbora Thomas Bach unatoč brojnim kritikama kako se MOO odnosi prema slučaju tenisačice Peng Shuai i dalje ostaje pri svom načinu rješavanja tog pitanja. 

"S našeg gledišta tiha diplomacija je najbolji put i tako ćemo nastaviti", kazao je Bach za njemačku novinsku agenciju DPA.

Peng Shuai, jedna od najvećih kineskih sportskih zvijezda, je prije više od mjesec dana optužila utjecajnog člana Komunističke partije Kine da ju je prisiljavao na spolni odnos. Nakon toga nestala je iz javnosti i mnoge organizacije i pojedinci postavljali su pitanja o tome gdje se nalazi i kako je. 

MOO dosad nije osudio kineske vlasti niti je tražio pojašnjenja službene Kine što se događa sa bivšom prvom tenisačicom svijeta u parovima, već je obavio dva video poziva sa Peng Shuai.  

"Mogu vam jamčiti da ćemo o tom slučaju i dalje raspravljati s kineskom stranom. Kao što su mnogi sportaši i organizacije zabrinute za njeno stanje, tako smo i mi", rekao je Bach. 

Bilo je brojnih poziva da se MOO u ovom slučaju postavi kao Ženska teniska udruga (WTA) koja je objavila suspenziju svih WTA turnira u Kini.

"WTA udruga se odlučila za svoj put, brojne druge sportske organizacija su odabrale drugačiji put. Načini djelovanja mogu biti različiti, ali ciljevi mogu biti isti", dodao je predsjednik MOO.

Istaknuo je da će MOO nastaviti razgovore s Peng Shuai i kineskim vlastima i nakon ZOI u Pekingu: "S ovim pristupom ćemo nastaviti i održati odnose. ZOI neće biti završna točka". 

Bach je podsjetio da je tihu diplomaciju 2008. prilikom ljetnih OI u Pekingu i tadašnjem kineskom suzbijanju nemira u Tibetu upotrijebio tadašnji predsjednik MOO-a Jacques Rogge. "Gledajući naša iskustva to je prava strategija i naša najbolja mogućnost", zaključio je Bach.

Predsjednik Međunarodnog olimpijskog odbora Thomas Bach unatoč brojnim kritikama kako se MOO odnosi prema slučaju tenisačice Peng Shuai i dalje ostaje pri svom načinu rješavanja tog pitanja. 

"S našeg gledišta tiha diplomacija je najbolji put i tako ćemo nastaviti", kazao je Bach za njemačku novinsku agenciju DPA.

Peng Shuai, jedna od najvećih kineskih sportskih zvijezda, je prije više od mjesec dana optužila utjecajnog člana Komunističke partije Kine da ju je prisiljavao na spolni odnos. Nakon toga nestala je iz javnosti i mnoge organizacije i pojedinci postavljali su pitanja o tome gdje se nalazi i kako je. 

MOO dosad nije osudio kineske vlasti niti je tražio pojašnjenja službene Kine što se događa sa bivšom prvom tenisačicom svijeta u parovima, već je obavio dva video poziva sa Peng Shuai.  

"Mogu vam jamčiti da ćemo o tom slučaju i dalje raspravljati s kineskom stranom. Kao što su mnogi sportaši i organizacije zabrinute za njeno stanje, tako smo i mi", rekao je Bach. 

Bilo je brojnih poziva da se MOO u ovom slučaju postavi kao Ženska teniska udruga (WTA) koja je objavila suspenziju svih WTA turnira u Kini.

"WTA udruga se odlučila za svoj put, brojne druge sportske organizacija su odabrale drugačiji put. Načini djelovanja mogu biti različiti, ali ciljevi mogu biti isti", dodao je predsjednik MOO.

Istaknuo je da će MOO nastaviti razgovore s Peng Shuai i kineskim vlastima i nakon ZOI u Pekingu: "S ovim pristupom ćemo nastaviti i održati odnose. ZOI neće biti završna točka". 

Bach je podsjetio da je tihu diplomaciju 2008. prilikom ljetnih OI u Pekingu i tadašnjem kineskom suzbijanju nemira u Tibetu upotrijebio tadašnji predsjednik MOO-a Jacques Rogge. "Gledajući naša iskustva to je prava strategija i naša najbolja mogućnost", zaključio je Bach.

‘Tiha diplomacija je najbolji način‘: MOO nije osudio kineske vlasti niti je tražio pojašnjenja što se događa s tenisačicom Peng Shuai

Predsjednik Međunarodnog olimpijskog odbora Thomas Bach unatoč brojnim kritikama kako se MOO odnosi prema slučaju tenisačice Peng Shuai i dalje ostaje pri svom načinu rješavanja tog pitanja. 

"S našeg gledišta tiha diplomacija je najbolji put i tako ćemo nastaviti", kazao je Bach za njemačku novinsku agenciju DPA.

Peng Shuai, jedna od najvećih kineskih sportskih zvijezda, je prije više od mjesec dana optužila utjecajnog člana Komunističke partije Kine da ju je prisiljavao na spolni odnos. Nakon toga nestala je iz javnosti i mnoge organizacije i pojedinci postavljali su pitanja o tome gdje se nalazi i kako je. 

MOO dosad nije osudio kineske vlasti niti je tražio pojašnjenja službene Kine što se događa sa bivšom prvom tenisačicom svijeta u parovima, već je obavio dva video p...
