Dvije dobre vijesti stigle su proteklih dana za splitski sport. Prvo je prošao amandman o povećanju sredstava za splitske klubove u iznosu od dva milijuna kuna, a potom je, čini se, dogovorena i suradnja Grada Splita i Hrvatskog teniskog saveza koja bi trebala uroditi boljim uvjetima za splitske sportaše.
- Ja sam dao taj amandman kojim smo tražili još dva milijuna kuna za splitski sport – kazao nam je naš trofejni taekwondo trener Toni Tomas.
- Prijedlog su podržali SDP, MOST, nezavisni Franić, HGS i HDZ. Sport je opet pokazao da je iznad politike. To je ono što moramo gurati, društvena vrijednost, ako smo mi najsportskiji grad na svijetu, bez obzira na političke opcije, moramo imati pravi odnos prema sportu. Zato sam sretan i nadam se da će u ovom gradskom vijeću još puno puta biti tako istaknuo je Tomas.
Što to znači pravi odnos prema sportu?
- Sport mi je iznad svega i tu se pokušavam svojim znanjem i zalaganjem argumentirano boriti za status sporta. Ako budemo u društvu imali status kakav zaslužujemo, onda će sport biti na višoj razini. Kad smo se divili Jugoplastici, Jadranu koji je bio prvak Europe, Hajduk igrao četvrtfinale Lige prvaka, sport je i među mladima bio na višoj razini. Sport nije trošak, sport je ulaganje. Svaka kuna uložena u sport znači tri kune manje troška u zdravstvu, sport jamči i bolju produktivnost na radnom mjestu...
Tomasov amandman
Za što konkretno splitskom sportu trebaju ta dva milijuna kuna?
- Ako mi poboljšamo uvjete za bavljenje sportom mladim ljudima, možemo očekivati da će ih se više uključiti u sustav sporta. Da bi dijete treniralo treba infrastrukturu i trenera. Objekti su kakvi jesu, a s ova dva milijuna kuna barem možemo nešto napraviti da poboljšamo status trenera unutar sporta.
Kako?
- Sustav je takav da se sredstva doznačuju klubovima, a oni upravljaju njima. Hoće li zaposliti više trenera, ili kvalitetnije vrednovati postojeće trenere, na njima je da procjene. Radujem se i tematskoj sjednici o stanju u splitskom sportu koju je gradonačelnik Puljak obećao u prvom tromjesečju 2022. godine. Nadam se da će se vidjeti koji su najveći problemi splitskog sporta i ići u promjene – zaključio je Tomas.
Loptica je bačena
A splitski gradonačelnik Ivica Puljak i dogradonačelnik Antonio Kuzmanić primili su predstavnike Hrvatskog teniskog saveza, predsjednicu Nikolinu Babić, direktora Vlatka Jovanovskog, Davis Cup reprezentativce Bornu Goju i Matu Pavića te fizioterapeuta reprezentacije Roberta Prusca. Uz čestitke na olimpijskim medaljama i senzacionalnom plasmanu u finale Davis Cupa pokrenuta je priča o poboljšanju teniske infrastrukture u Splitu.
Ideja je da se tri terena na Firulama “pretvore” u tvrdu podlogu, jer se na brzim podlogama igra većina profesionalnih turnira, a u Splitu je kronični nedostatak te podloge. Uz to, ta tri terena bi se zimi natkrivala... Donijelo bi to neku sasvim novu perspektivu splitskom tenisu, kao i hrvatskim reprezentativcima koji uživaju dolaziti na pripreme u grad pod Marjanom, ali uvjeti do sada nisu bili na pravoj razini.

Dvije dobre vijesti stigle su proteklih dana za splitski sport. Prvo je prošao amandman o povećanju sredstava za splitske klubove u iznosu od dva milijuna kuna, a potom je, čini se, dogovorena i suradnja Grada Splita i Hrvatskog teniskog saveza koja bi trebala uroditi boljim uvjetima za splitske sportaše.
- Ja sam dao taj amandman kojim smo tražili još dva milijuna kuna za splitski sport – kazao nam je naš trofejni taekwondo trener Toni Tomas.
- Prijedlog su podržali SDP, MOST, nezavisni Franić, HGS i HDZ. Sport je opet pokazao da je iznad politike. To je ono što moramo gurati, društvena vrijednost, ako smo mi najsportskiji grad na svijetu, bez obzira na političke opcije, moramo imati pravi odnos prema sportu. Zato sam sretan i nadam se da će u ovom gradskom vijeću još puno puta biti tako istaknuo je Tomas.
Što to znači pravi odnos prema sportu?
- Sport mi je iznad svega i tu se pokušavam svojim znanjem i zalaganjem argumentirano boriti za status sporta. Ako budemo u društvu imali status kakav zaslužujemo, onda će sport biti na višoj razini. Kad smo se divili Jugoplastici, Jadranu koji je bio prvak Europe, Hajduk igrao četvrtfinale Lige prvaka, sport je i među mladima bio na višoj razini. Sport nije trošak, sport je ulaganje. Svaka kuna uložena u sport znači tri kune manje troška u zdravstvu, sport jamči i bolju produktivnost na radnom mjestu...
Tomasov amandman
Za što konkretno splitskom sportu trebaju ta dva milijuna kuna?
- Ako mi poboljšamo uvjete za bavljenje sportom mladim ljudima, možemo očekivati da će ih se više uključiti u sustav sporta. Da bi dijete treniralo treba infrastrukturu i trenera. Objekti su kakvi jesu, a s ova dva milijuna kuna barem možemo nešto napraviti da poboljšamo status trenera unutar sporta.
Kako?
- Sustav je takav da se sredstva doznačuju klubovima, a oni upravljaju njima. Hoće li zaposliti više trenera, ili kvalitetnije vrednovati postojeće trenere, na njima je da procjene. Radujem se i tematskoj sjednici o stanju u splitskom sportu koju je gradonačelnik Puljak obećao u prvom tromjesečju 2022. godine. Nadam se da će se vidjeti koji su najveći problemi splitskog sporta i ići u promjene – zaključio je Tomas.
Loptica je bačena
A splitski gradonačelnik Ivica Puljak i dogradonačelnik Antonio Kuzmanić primili su predstavnike Hrvatskog teniskog saveza, predsjednicu Nikolinu Babić, direktora Vlatka Jovanovskog, Davis Cup reprezentativce Bornu Goju i Matu Pavića te fizioterapeuta reprezentacije Roberta Prusca. Uz čestitke na olimpijskim medaljama i senzacionalnom plasmanu u finale Davis Cupa pokrenuta je priča o poboljšanju teniske infrastrukture u Splitu.
Ideja je da se tri terena na Firulama “pretvore” u tvrdu podlogu, jer se na brzim podlogama igra većina profesionalnih turnira, a u Splitu je kronični nedostatak te podloge. Uz to, ta tri terena bi se zimi natkrivala... Donijelo bi to neku sasvim novu perspektivu splitskom tenisu, kao i hrvatskim reprezentativcima koji uživaju dolaziti na pripreme u grad pod Marjanom, ali uvjeti do sada nisu bili na pravoj razini.
