Pobjednik US Opena iz 2020., 28-godišnji austrijski tenisač Dominic Thiem otkazao je u četvrtak nastup na ovogodišnjem Wimbledonu, a na teren bi se trebao vratiti sredinom srpnja u švedskom Bastadu.

Thiem je u lipnju prošle godine na ATP turniru s travnatom podlogom na Mallorci pao i ozlijedio zglob zapešća, zbog čega ga nije bilo na turnirima gotovo 10 mjeseci. No, i kad se vratio na teren izostali su uspjesi.

Austrijanac je izgubio svih sedam mečeva koje je odigrao u 2022., šest na razini Grand Slama i ATP Toura te jedan na razini Challengera i pritom osvojio svega jedan set. Posljednju pobjedu na ATP turnirima ostvario je prije 13 mjeseci na rimskom Mastersu.

Tenisač koji u svojoj kolekciji ima 17 naslova, a osim trijumfa na US Openu 2020. igrao je i dva finala na Roland Garrosu (2018. i 2019.) te jedno na Australian Openu (2020.), prije nešto više od dvije godine bio je na trećem mjestu pojedinačne ATP ljestvice, dok je danas na 352. poziciji.

Za ulazak na turnire još uvijek može koristiti zaštićeni renking ili pozivnice organizatora, a nakon niza poraza odlučio je preskočiti travnati dio sezone i podlogu na kojoj ni u najboljim danima nije imao puno uspjeha te se posvetio treninzima na zemlji.

Thiem će iskoristiti ljetnu seriju turnira na zemljanoj podlozi i pokušati prekinuti crni niz, a trebao bi nastupiti tri tjedna zaredom: od 11. srpnja u švedskom Bastadu, od 18. srpnja u švicarskom Gstaadu te od 25. srpnja na domaćem terenu u Kitzbuehelu.

Pobjednik US Opena iz 2020., 28-godišnji austrijski tenisač Dominic Thiem otkazao je u četvrtak nastup na ovogodišnjem Wimbledonu, a na teren bi se trebao vratiti sredinom srpnja u švedskom Bastadu.

Thiem je u lipnju prošle godine na ATP turniru s travnatom podlogom na Mallorci pao i ozlijedio zglob zapešća, zbog čega ga nije bilo na turnirima gotovo 10 mjeseci. No, i kad se vratio na teren izostali su uspjesi.

Austrijanac je izgubio svih sedam mečeva koje je odigrao u 2022., šest na razini Grand Slama i ATP Toura te jedan na razini Challengera i pritom osvojio svega jedan set. Posljednju pobjedu na ATP turnirima ostvario je prije 13 mjeseci na rimskom Mastersu.

Tenisač koji u svojoj kolekciji ima 17 naslova, a osim trijumfa na US Openu 2020. igrao je i dva finala na Roland Garrosu (2018. i 2019.) te jedno na Australian Openu (2020.), prije nešto više od dvije godine bio je na trećem mjestu pojedinačne ATP ljestvice, dok je danas na 352. poziciji.

Za ulazak na turnire još uvijek može koristiti zaštićeni renking ili pozivnice organizatora, a nakon niza poraza odlučio je preskočiti travnati dio sezone i podlogu na kojoj ni u najboljim danima nije imao puno uspjeha te se posvetio treninzima na zemlji.

Thiem će iskoristiti ljetnu seriju turnira na zemljanoj podlozi i pokušati prekinuti crni niz, a trebao bi nastupiti tri tjedna zaredom: od 11. srpnja u švedskom Bastadu, od 18. srpnja u švicarskom Gstaadu te od 25. srpnja na domaćem terenu u Kitzbuehelu.

Pobjednik US Opena iz 2020., 28-godišnji austrijski tenisač Dominic Thiem otkazao je u četvrtak nastup na ovogodišnjem Wimbledonu, a na teren bi se trebao vratiti sredinom srpnja u švedskom Bastadu.

Thiem je u lipnju prošle godine na ATP turniru s travnatom podlogom na Mallorci pao i ozlijedio zglob zapešća, zbog čega ga nije bilo na turnirima gotovo 10 mjeseci. No, i kad se vratio na teren izostali su uspjesi.

Austrijanac je izgubio svih sedam mečeva koje je odigrao u 2022., šest na razini Grand Slama i ATP Toura te jedan na razini Challengera i pritom osvojio svega jedan set. Posljednju pobjedu na ATP turnirima ostvario je prije 13 mjeseci na rimskom Mastersu.

Tenisač koji u svojoj kolekciji ima 17 naslova, a osim trijumfa na US Openu 2020. igrao je i dva finala na Roland Garr...
