Hilmar Leon Jakobsen, 22-godišnji napadač kluba HB, debitirao je 11. studenoga ove godine za nogometnu reprezentaciju Farskih Otoka odigravši svih 90 minuta u prijateljskoj utakmici s Litvom, a tri dana kasnije odigrao je i sedam minuta utakmice Lige nacija protiv Latvije. Ništa čudno? I ne bi bilo da Jakobsen 2020. godinu nije započeo kao rukometni reprezentativac Farskih Otoka, pišu Sportske novosti.
Pandemija koronavirusa promijenila je živote milijarda ljudi širom svijeta, a u Jakobsenovu slučaju dovela je do promjene karijere. On je kao junior bio na glasu kao jedan od najperspektivnijih nogometaša na Farskim Otocima, ali kada mu je bilo 17 godina liječnici su mu preporučili da se ostavi nogometa jer je morao na operaciju kuka.
- Uvijek sam htio biti nogometaš, ali liječnici su mi rekli da bi za moje zdravlje bilo bolje kada bih promijenio sport, odnosno, preporučili su mi rukomet - kaže Jakobsen, te dodaje:
- Bio sam jako razočaran zbog toga. Želio sam igrati nogomet u inozemstvu, to mi je bio san, ali morao sam odustati zbog zdravlja.
Pokazalo se, međutim, da je i u rukometu bio jako dobar (prvo je igrao kao lijevo krilo, a potom kao lijevi vanjski), te je dobio poziv i u seniorsku reprezentaciju. Sa svojim rukometnim klubom, H71, osvojio je tri naslova prvaka i dva Kupa, te više nije niti pomišljao na nogometnu karijeru. Početkom ove godine igrao je za rukometnu reprezentaciju kvalifikacijske utakmice za Svjetsko prvenstvo, međutim, kada je pandemija ‘udarila’ sve rukometne aktivnosti su na duže vrijeme bile zaustavljene.
- Zbog toga sam, da bih održao kondiciju, počeo malo trenirati nogomet u klubu HB, s njihovom drugom momčadi, jer su nogometna natjecanja krenula ranije od rukometnih.
Ostavlja se rukometa
Međutim, tako mu je dobro išlo da ga je ubrzo trener prve momčadi HB-a pozvao da im se pridruži, što je Jakobsen, nakon kraćeg oklijevanja, i prihvatio. Iako je prije bio vezni igrač, trener ga je ‘pretvorio’ u napadača, te pogodio. Naime, Jakobsen je u srpnju zabijao u tri uzastopne ligaške utakmice, a na jesen je ušao u seriju od pet utakmica zaredom u kojima je bio strijelac.
Ukupno je u 17 utakmica postigao 12 golova i dodao pet asistencija, a HB je osvojio naslov prvaka Farskih Otoka. Dakle, 2019. bio je prvak države u rukometu, a 2020. u nogometu.
Sljedeći korak bio je poziv u nogometnu reprezentaciju...
- Trener je ušao u svlačionicu, te objavio da sam pozvan u reprezentaciju. Bilo je to nestvarno, a suigrači su mi izlili bocu šampanjca na glavu.
Hilmar Leon Jakobsen je za nogometnu reprezentaciju uskoro debitirao na utakmici s Litvom, protiv koje je početkom 2020. godine igrao kao rukometni reprezentativac.
- Ovo je definitivno najbolja godina mog života. Odjednom sam opet nogometaš, osvajam titule i igram za reprezentaciju u mom najdražem sportu. Odsad ću biti potpuno posvećen nogometu. Moji suigrači iz rukometa su bili tužni kad sam im rekao da više neću igrati, ali u potpunosti me shvaćaju. Cilj mi je igrati nogomet u inozemstvu - zaključio Hilmar Leon Jakobsen.

Hilmar Leon Jakobsen, 22-godišnji napadač kluba HB, debitirao je 11. studenoga ove godine za nogometnu reprezentaciju Farskih Otoka odigravši svih 90 minuta u prijateljskoj utakmici s Litvom, a tri dana kasnije odigrao je i sedam minuta utakmice Lige nacija protiv Latvije. Ništa čudno? I ne bi bilo da Jakobsen 2020. godinu nije započeo kao rukometni reprezentativac Farskih Otoka, pišu Sportske novosti.
Pandemija koronavirusa promijenila je živote milijarda ljudi širom svijeta, a u Jakobsenovu slučaju dovela je do promjene karijere. On je kao junior bio na glasu kao jedan od najperspektivnijih nogometaša na Farskim Otocima, ali kada mu je bilo 17 godina liječnici su mu preporučili da se ostavi nogometa jer je morao na operaciju kuka.
- Uvijek sam htio biti nogometaš, ali liječnici su mi rekli da bi za moje zdravlje bilo bolje kada bih promijenio sport, odnosno, preporučili su mi rukomet - kaže Jakobsen, te dodaje:
- Bio sam jako razočaran zbog toga. Želio sam igrati nogomet u inozemstvu, to mi je bio san, ali morao sam odustati zbog zdravlja.
Pokazalo se, međutim, da je i u rukometu bio jako dobar (prvo je igrao kao lijevo krilo, a potom kao lijevi vanjski), te je dobio poziv i u seniorsku reprezentaciju. Sa svojim rukometnim klubom, H71, osvojio je tri naslova prvaka i dva Kupa, te više nije niti pomišljao na nogometnu karijeru. Početkom ove godine igrao je za rukometnu reprezentaciju kvalifikacijske utakmice za Svjetsko prvenstvo, međutim, kada je pandemija ‘udarila’ sve rukometne aktivnosti su na duže vrijeme bile zaustavljene.
- Zbog toga sam, da bih održao kondiciju, počeo malo trenirati nogomet u klubu HB, s njihovom drugom momčadi, jer su nogometna natjecanja krenula ranije od rukometnih.
Ostavlja se rukometa
Međutim, tako mu je dobro išlo da ga je ubrzo trener prve momčadi HB-a pozvao da im se pridruži, što je Jakobsen, nakon kraćeg oklijevanja, i prihvatio. Iako je prije bio vezni igrač, trener ga je ‘pretvorio’ u napadača, te pogodio. Naime, Jakobsen je u srpnju zabijao u tri uzastopne ligaške utakmice, a na jesen je ušao u seriju od pet utakmica zaredom u kojima je bio strijelac.
Ukupno je u 17 utakmica postigao 12 golova i dodao pet asistencija, a HB je osvojio naslov prvaka Farskih Otoka. Dakle, 2019. bio je prvak države u rukometu, a 2020. u nogometu.
Sljedeći korak bio je poziv u nogometnu reprezentaciju...
- Trener je ušao u svlačionicu, te objavio da sam pozvan u reprezentaciju. Bilo je to nestvarno, a suigrači su mi izlili bocu šampanjca na glavu.
Hilmar Leon Jakobsen je za nogometnu reprezentaciju uskoro debitirao na utakmici s Litvom, protiv koje je početkom 2020. godine igrao kao rukometni reprezentativac.
- Ovo je definitivno najbolja godina mog života. Odjednom sam opet nogometaš, osvajam titule i igram za reprezentaciju u mom najdražem sportu. Odsad ću biti potpuno posvećen nogometu. Moji suigrači iz rukometa su bili tužni kad sam im rekao da više neću igrati, ali u potpunosti me shvaćaju. Cilj mi je igrati nogomet u inozemstvu - zaključio Hilmar Leon Jakobsen.
