Međunarodni olimpijski odbor (MOO) traži način za ponovno uključivanje ruskih i bjeloruskih sportaša na međunarodna natjecanja, a u konačnici i na Olimpijske igre u Parizu 2024., dok sankcije protiv obje države i dalje ostaju na snazi. 

Predsjednik MOO-a Thomas Bach u srijedu je na konferenciji za medije rekao da se o toj temi opširno raspravljalo tijekom trodnevnog zasjedanja Izvršnog odbora najviše svjetske sportske institucije.

Savjetovanje u koje su uključeni MOO, predstavnici sportaša, međunarodne sportske federacije i nacionalni olimpijski odbori bit će nastavljeni na olimpijskom zasjedanju, čiji je početak zakazan za petak.

Nakon što je 24. veljače ove godine započeka ruska invazija na ukrajinski teritorij, koju je podržala Bjelorusija, MOO je kaznio države i vlade agresora te preporučio međunarodnim federacijama da zabrane nastup ruskim sportašicama i sportašima ili ga dopuste bez isticanja nacionalnih simbola. MOO je to nazvao zaštitnim mjerama, iako se to protivi sloganu ove organizacije o ujedinjavanju.

Bach je izjavio da su ruskim i bjeloruskim predstavnicima bili dopušteni nastupi u sportovima poput tenisa, ali im je bio zabranjen nastup na turnirima u Velikoj Britaniji, uključujući i Wimbledon, zbog odluka britanske vlade.

"Olimpijski pokret mora biti snaga ujedinjenja, a ne ona koja će razdvajati", rekao je Bach.

"Moramo pronaći načine kako prevladati ovu situaciju i ostati vjerni svojoj misiji. Sankcije će ostati na snazi, ali moramo zaštiti integritet međunarodnih natjecanja. Ovo je situacija koju moramo nadvladati. U međunarodnim natjecanjima mora vrijediti načelo prava i pravednosti za sve", dodao je predsjednik MOO-a.

Bach je citirao i predsjednika Glavne skupštine Ujedinjenih naroda Csabu Korosija, koji je prošli tjedan izjavio da "više obećava kad se nacije natječu na sportskom polju nego kad se nalaze na bojištu".

Predsjednik MOO-a je rekao da sportaši dviju država pod sankcijama "ne smiju biti kažnjeni zbog poteza svojih vlada, dok god ne podržavaju ratni sukob ili u njemu ne sudjeluju", ali pritom nije dao rok za njihov povratak na međunarodna natjecanja, iako je u nekim sportovima već započeo proces kvalifikacija za Olimpijske igre u Parizu.

Međunarodni olimpijski odbor (MOO) traži način za ponovno uključivanje ruskih i bjeloruskih sportaša na međunarodna natjecanja, a u konačnici i na Olimpijske igre u Parizu 2024., dok sankcije protiv obje države i dalje ostaju na snazi. 

Predsjednik MOO-a Thomas Bach u srijedu je na konferenciji za medije rekao da se o toj temi opširno raspravljalo tijekom trodnevnog zasjedanja Izvršnog odbora najviše svjetske sportske institucije.

Savjetovanje u koje su uključeni MOO, predstavnici sportaša, međunarodne sportske federacije i nacionalni olimpijski odbori bit će nastavljeni na olimpijskom zasjedanju, čiji je početak zakazan za petak.

Nakon što je 24. veljače ove godine započeka ruska invazija na ukrajinski teritorij, koju je podržala Bjelorusija, MOO je kaznio države i vlade agresora te preporučio međunarodnim federacijama da zabrane nastup ruskim sportašicama i sportašima ili ga dopuste bez isticanja nacionalnih simbola. MOO je to nazvao zaštitnim mjerama, iako se to protivi sloganu ove organizacije o ujedinjavanju.

Bach je izjavio da su ruskim i bjeloruskim predstavnicima bili dopušteni nastupi u sportovima poput tenisa, ali im je bio zabranjen nastup na turnirima u Velikoj Britaniji, uključujući i Wimbledon, zbog odluka britanske vlade.

"Olimpijski pokret mora biti snaga ujedinjenja, a ne ona koja će razdvajati", rekao je Bach.

"Moramo pronaći načine kako prevladati ovu situaciju i ostati vjerni svojoj misiji. Sankcije će ostati na snazi, ali moramo zaštiti integritet međunarodnih natjecanja. Ovo je situacija koju moramo nadvladati. U međunarodnim natjecanjima mora vrijediti načelo prava i pravednosti za sve", dodao je predsjednik MOO-a.

Bach je citirao i predsjednika Glavne skupštine Ujedinjenih naroda Csabu Korosija, koji je prošli tjedan izjavio da "više obećava kad se nacije natječu na sportskom polju nego kad se nalaze na bojištu".

Predsjednik MOO-a je rekao da sportaši dviju država pod sankcijama "ne smiju biti kažnjeni zbog poteza svojih vlada, dok god ne podržavaju ratni sukob ili u njemu ne sudjeluju", ali pritom nije dao rok za njihov povratak na međunarodna natjecanja, iako je u nekim sportovima već započeo proces kvalifikacija za Olimpijske igre u Parizu.

Velika odluka: MOO želi povratak ruskih i bjeloruskih sportaša na međunarodna natjecanja

Međunarodni olimpijski odbor (MOO) traži način za ponovno uključivanje ruskih i bjeloruskih sportaša na međunarodna natjecanja, a u konačnici i na Olimpijske igre u Parizu 2024., dok sankcije protiv obje države i dalje ostaju na snazi. 

Predsjednik MOO-a Thomas Bach u srijedu je na konferenciji za medije rekao da se o toj temi opširno raspravljalo tijekom trodnevnog zasjedanja Izvršnog odbora najviše svjetske sportske institucije.

Savjetovanje u koje su uključeni MOO, predstavnici sportaša, međunarodne sportske federacije i nacionalni olimpijski odbori bit će nastavljeni na olimpijskom zasjedanju, čiji je početak zakazan za petak.

Nakon što je 24. veljače ove godine započeka ruska invazija na ukrajinski teritorij, koju je podržala Bjelorusija, MOO je kaznio države i vlade...
