Zimske olimpijske predigre.

Otvaranje ZOI-a u Pekingu predviđeno je sutra u 13 sati po hrvatskom vremenu (HTV2), ali nekako je sport u uvertiri, predigri Igara potpuno u drugom planu. U fokusu su Covid-19 i ljudska prava u Kini. Ne zna se samo koja je od te dvije teme škakljivija u najmnogoljudnijoj državi svijeta.

Kina je domovina Covida-19 i baš se zato domaćini (Igara, ne virusa) posebno svim silama trude kako bi dokazali da se znaju boriti sa Sars-Cov-2 virusom. Svi će natjecatelji, sudionici, osoblje Igara biti primorani ostati u „balonu”, valjda najvećem na svijetu pokušaju ikada da se na taj način obuzda neki virus. Neće imati baš nikakvih kontakata s vanjskim svijetom. Publike na natjecanjima zna se već odavno – nema. Putuje se na borilišta, treninge posve odvojeno od ostatka svijeta. Svaki i najmanji izlazak iz „balona” kažnjavat će se desetodnevnom izolacijom.

Već je dvjesto zaraženih koronavirusom

Međutim, bez obzira na sve mjere virus se uvijek negdje, nekako zavuče. U utorak su organizatori potvrdili 24 slučaja zaraze među sudionicima Igara (sportašima, trenerima i osoblju), od čega je 18 detektiranih na ulasku u državu, a šest ih je pozitivnih već bilo tamo. Ukupna je brojka zaraženih sad već alarmantnih 200. Smješteni su pozitivni u posebnom hotelu za karantenu. Testiranja su svih već i bit će svakodnevna. Svaki pozitivan test može značiti i kraj četverogodišnjeg, možda i životnog sna za nekog sportaša o medalji, nastupu na Igrama.

To je noćna mora sportašima, a organizatorima - Kini, i Međunarodnom olimpijskom odboru - svako dovođenje u pitanje razine ljudskih prava u Kini. Stalno se i uporno naglašava kako Igre nisu mjesto za političke poruke, kako je to olimpijskom poveljom izričito zabranjeno. Makar te poruke ne bile političke nego prije svega - ljudske.

Sportaše se ne može ušutkati izvan borilišta 

Sportaši primjerice na dodjeli medalja neće smjeti povući pitanje o stanju ljudskih prava u Tibetu, tenisačici Peng Shuai... Prisjetimo se, Shuai je misteriozno nestala nakon što je jednog visokog političkog dužnosnika optužila za silovanje. Nakon što je svjetska javnost digla glas, pojavila se, ali nitko nije pao na priču kako je sve (bilo) u redu. Osim možda predsjednika MOO-a Thomasa Bacha koji je tih dana kada je „uskrsla” gotovo jedini sa Zapada mogao komunicirati s njom. Tako je između ostalog sad MOO navodno naglasio kako bi večera sa Shuai tijekom Igara bila „neprikladna”, pod obrazloženjem da bi to za nju moglo biti traumatično. Baš „prikladno” objašnjenje. No, zato sportašima nije zabranjeno govoriti u intervjuima izvan samih natjecanja. Bit će dakle vrlo zanimljivo i izvan borilišta.

Prvi put će jedan grad biti domaćin i ljetnih i zimskih Olimpijskih igara koje će trajati od 4. do 20. veljače. Samo 14 godina nakon ljetnih, kineska metropola ugostit će i najbolje svjetske sportaše u zimskim sportovima. 

Natječe se i jedanaest naših

Među njima će biti i 11 hrvatskih sportaš(ic)a. U skijanju će nas predstavljati Zrinka Ljutić, Leona Popović, Andrea Komšić, Filip Zubčić, Matej Vidović i Samuel Kolega. U nordijskom skijanju očekuju se Vedrana Malec, Marko Skender i Tena Hadžić. Lea Jugovac će nastupiti u snowboardu, a Valentina Aščić u brzom klizanju. Hrvatsku zastavu bi na otvaranju trebali nositi Ljutić i Skender.

Ta svestranost Pekinga je jasnija ako se zna da će se primjerice skijati na planini koja nema snijega, da će se hokej igrati u dvorani za košarku i rukomet... Za Kineze nema prepreka. Kako će ih i biti ako se trošak organizacije Igara procjenjuje na 38,5 milijardi dolara.

Zimske olimpijske predigre.

Otvaranje ZOI-a u Pekingu predviđeno je sutra u 13 sati po hrvatskom vremenu (HTV2), ali nekako je sport u uvertiri, predigri Igara potpuno u drugom planu. U fokusu su Covid-19 i ljudska prava u Kini. Ne zna se samo koja je od te dvije teme škakljivija u najmnogoljudnijoj državi svijeta.

Kina je domovina Covida-19 i baš se zato domaćini (Igara, ne virusa) posebno svim silama trude kako bi dokazali da se znaju boriti sa Sars-Cov-2 virusom. Svi će natjecatelji, sudionici, osoblje Igara biti primorani ostati u „balonu”, valjda najvećem na svijetu pokušaju ikada da se na taj način obuzda neki virus. Neće imati baš nikakvih kontakata s vanjskim svijetom. Publike na natjecanjima zna se već odavno – nema. Putuje se na borilišta, treninge posve odvojeno od ostatka svijeta. Svaki i najmanji izlazak iz „balona” kažnjavat će se desetodnevnom izolacijom.

Već je dvjesto zaraženih koronavirusom

Međutim, bez obzira na sve mjere virus se uvijek negdje, nekako zavuče. U utorak su organizatori potvrdili 24 slučaja zaraze među sudionicima Igara (sportašima, trenerima i osoblju), od čega je 18 detektiranih na ulasku u državu, a šest ih je pozitivnih već bilo tamo. Ukupna je brojka zaraženih sad već alarmantnih 200. Smješteni su pozitivni u posebnom hotelu za karantenu. Testiranja su svih već i bit će svakodnevna. Svaki pozitivan test može značiti i kraj četverogodišnjeg, možda i životnog sna za nekog sportaša o medalji, nastupu na Igrama.

To je noćna mora sportašima, a organizatorima - Kini, i Međunarodnom olimpijskom odboru - svako dovođenje u pitanje razine ljudskih prava u Kini. Stalno se i uporno naglašava kako Igre nisu mjesto za političke poruke, kako je to olimpijskom poveljom izričito zabranjeno. Makar te poruke ne bile političke nego prije svega - ljudske.

Sportaše se ne može ušutkati izvan borilišta 

Sportaši primjerice na dodjeli medalja neće smjeti povući pitanje o stanju ljudskih prava u Tibetu, tenisačici Peng Shuai... Prisjetimo se, Shuai je misteriozno nestala nakon što je jednog visokog političkog dužnosnika optužila za silovanje. Nakon što je svjetska javnost digla glas, pojavila se, ali nitko nije pao na priču kako je sve (bilo) u redu. Osim možda predsjednika MOO-a Thomasa Bacha koji je tih dana kada je „uskrsla” gotovo jedini sa Zapada mogao komunicirati s njom. Tako je između ostalog sad MOO navodno naglasio kako bi večera sa Shuai tijekom Igara bila „neprikladna”, pod obrazloženjem da bi to za nju moglo biti traumatično. Baš „prikladno” objašnjenje. No, zato sportašima nije zabranjeno govoriti u intervjuima izvan samih natjecanja. Bit će dakle vrlo zanimljivo i izvan borilišta.

Prvi put će jedan grad biti domaćin i ljetnih i zimskih Olimpijskih igara koje će trajati od 4. do 20. veljače. Samo 14 godina nakon ljetnih, kineska metropola ugostit će i najbolje svjetske sportaše u zimskim sportovima. 

Natječe se i jedanaest naših

Među njima će biti i 11 hrvatskih sportaš(ic)a. U skijanju će nas predstavljati Zrinka Ljutić, Leona Popović, Andrea Komšić, Filip Zubčić, Matej Vidović i Samuel Kolega. U nordijskom skijanju očekuju se Vedrana Malec, Marko Skender i Tena Hadžić. Lea Jugovac će nastupiti u snowboardu, a Valentina Aščić u brzom klizanju. Hrvatsku zastavu bi na otvaranju trebali nositi Ljutić i Skender.

Ta svestranost Pekinga je jasnija ako se zna da će se primjerice skijati na planini koja nema snijega, da će se hokej igrati u dvorani za košarku i rukomet... Za Kineze nema prepreka. Kako će ih i biti ako se trošak organizacije Igara procjenjuje na 38,5 milijardi dolara.

Sutra otvaranje Zimskih olimpijskih igara u Pekingu: sportaši se boje Covida, a Kina priče o ljudskim pravima

Zimske olimpijske predigre.

Otvaranje ZOI-a u Pekingu predviđeno je sutra u 13 sati po hrvatskom vremenu (HTV2), ali nekako je sport u uvertiri, predigri Igara potpuno u drugom planu. U fokusu su Covid-19 i ljudska prava u Kini. Ne zna se samo koja je od te dvije teme škakljivija u najmnogoljudnijoj državi svijeta.

Kina je domovina Covida-19 i baš se zato domaćini (Igara, ne virusa) posebno svim silama trude kako bi dokazali da se znaju boriti sa Sars-Cov-2 virusom. Svi će natjecatelji, sudionici, osoblje Igara biti primorani ostati u „balonu”, valjda najvećem na svijetu pokušaju ikada da se na taj način obuzda neki virus. Neće imati baš nikakvih kontakata s vanjskim svijetom. Publike na natjecanjima zna se već odavno – nema. Putuje se na borilišta, treninge posve odvojeno od ostatka s...
