Savez od 243 nevladine organizacije i skupine boraca za ljudska prava pozvale su na diplomatski bojkot Zimskih olimpijskih igara u Pekingu, samo tjedan dana prije njihova svečanog otvaranja.

"Zimske olimpijske igre u Pekingu bit će otvorene unatoč zločinima protiv čovječnosti i ostalim teškim povredama ljudskih prava koje je počinila kineska vlada", stoji u zajedničkom priopćenju koje su objavili u petak.

Skupina je pozvala vlade država sudionica da se pridruže diplomatskom bojkotu, a sportaše i pokrovitelje da ne daju legitimitet kineskim vlastima za kršenje ljudskih prava.

"Nije moguće da Olimpijske igre budu 'snaga za dobro', kao što to tvrdi Međunarodni olimpijski odbor, sve dok vlada zemlje domaćina čini strašme zločine kojima krši međunarodne zakone", izjavila je Sophie Richardson, direktorica kineskog ogranka organizacije Humans Rights Watch.

Skupina je istaknula ponašanje prema etničkim i religijskim manjinama te ukazala na progon aktivista u borbi za ljudska prava, feministikinja, odvjetnika i novinara koji provodi Kina pod predsjedanjem Xi Jinpinga.

"Vlast je protjerala nekad živo civilno društvo u Hong Kongu, proširila pomoću tehnike nadzor kako bi značajno smanjila prava na izražavanje, udruživanje i mirna okupljanja te dopustila prisilan rad kršeći međunarodne zakone", dodala je skupina u priopćenju.

Peking je došao na udar inozemnih kritičara za zlostavljanje Ujgura te za svoje djelovanje u Hong Kongu. Nekoliko zemalja, uključujući Sjedinjene Američke Države, Veliku Britaniju i Australiju, najavile su diplomatski bojkot Igara.

Savez od 243 nevladine organizacije i skupine boraca za ljudska prava pozvale su na diplomatski bojkot Zimskih olimpijskih igara u Pekingu, samo tjedan dana prije njihova svečanog otvaranja.

"Zimske olimpijske igre u Pekingu bit će otvorene unatoč zločinima protiv čovječnosti i ostalim teškim povredama ljudskih prava koje je počinila kineska vlada", stoji u zajedničkom priopćenju koje su objavili u petak.

Skupina je pozvala vlade država sudionica da se pridruže diplomatskom bojkotu, a sportaše i pokrovitelje da ne daju legitimitet kineskim vlastima za kršenje ljudskih prava.

"Nije moguće da Olimpijske igre budu 'snaga za dobro', kao što to tvrdi Međunarodni olimpijski odbor, sve dok vlada zemlje domaćina čini strašme zločine kojima krši međunarodne zakone", izjavila je Sophie Richardson, direktorica kineskog ogranka organizacije Humans Rights Watch.

Skupina je istaknula ponašanje prema etničkim i religijskim manjinama te ukazala na progon aktivista u borbi za ljudska prava, feministikinja, odvjetnika i novinara koji provodi Kina pod predsjedanjem Xi Jinpinga.

"Vlast je protjerala nekad živo civilno društvo u Hong Kongu, proširila pomoću tehnike nadzor kako bi značajno smanjila prava na izražavanje, udruživanje i mirna okupljanja te dopustila prisilan rad kršeći međunarodne zakone", dodala je skupina u priopćenju.

Peking je došao na udar inozemnih kritičara za zlostavljanje Ujgura te za svoje djelovanje u Hong Kongu. Nekoliko zemalja, uključujući Sjedinjene Američke Države, Veliku Britaniju i Australiju, najavile su diplomatski bojkot Igara.

Borci za ljudska prava traže diplomatski bojkot Zimskih olimpijskih igara u Pekingu

Savez od 243 nevladine organizacije i skupine boraca za ljudska prava pozvale su na diplomatski bojkot Zimskih olimpijskih igara u Pekingu, samo tjedan dana prije njihova svečanog otvaranja.

"Zimske olimpijske igre u Pekingu bit će otvorene unatoč zločinima protiv čovječnosti i ostalim teškim povredama ljudskih prava koje je počinila kineska vlada", stoji u zajedničkom priopćenju koje su objavili u petak.

Skupina je pozvala vlade država sudionica da se pridruže diplomatskom bojkotu, a sportaše i pokrovitelje da ne daju legitimitet kineskim vlastima za kršenje ljudskih prava.

"Nije moguće da Olimpijske igre budu 'snaga za dobro', kao što to tvrdi Međunarodni olimpijski odbor, sve dok vlada zemlje domaćina čini strašme zločine kojima krši međunarodne zakone", izjavila je Sophie...
