Nakon što je deset mjeseci provela u ruskom zatvoru, američka košarkašica Brittney Griner vraća se na WNBA parkete nakon što je potpisala jednogodišnji ugovor za Phoenix Mercury.

Griner je za Phoenix igrala od 2013. do privođenja 17. veljače prošle godine u moskovskoj zračnoj luci. Naime, izvan WNBA sezone od 2014. godine je igrala je i za ruski klub UMMC Ekaterinburg.

Dvostruka osvajačica zlatne olimpijske medalje uhićena u moskovskoj zračnoj luci kada je u njezinoj prtljazi pronađeno ulje kanabisa, koje je zabranjeno u Rusiji.

U kolovozu je osuđena na devet godina zatvora zbog posjedovanja i krijumčarenja droge. Priznala je krivnju, kazavši kako nije namjeravala prekršiti zakon. Međutim, u prosincu je zamijenjena za ruskog trgovca oružjem Viktora Bouta.

- Namjeravam igrati košarku za WNBA Phoenix Mercury ove sezone - poručila je 32-godišnja Amerikanka.

Objavljeno je kako se Griner vraća u Phoenix kao slobodna igračica potpisavši jednogodišnji ugovor vrijedan 165.100 dolara.

Nakon što je deset mjeseci provela u ruskom zatvoru, američka košarkašica Brittney Griner vraća se na WNBA parkete nakon što je potpisala jednogodišnji ugovor za Phoenix Mercury.

Griner je za Phoenix igrala od 2013. do privođenja 17. veljače prošle godine u moskovskoj zračnoj luci. Naime, izvan WNBA sezone od 2014. godine je igrala je i za ruski klub UMMC Ekaterinburg.

Dvostruka osvajačica zlatne olimpijske medalje uhićena u moskovskoj zračnoj luci kada je u njezinoj prtljazi pronađeno ulje kanabisa, koje je zabranjeno u Rusiji.

U kolovozu je osuđena na devet godina zatvora zbog posjedovanja i krijumčarenja droge. Priznala je krivnju, kazavši kako nije namjeravala prekršiti zakon. Međutim, u prosincu je zamijenjena za ruskog trgovca oružjem Viktora Bouta.

- Namjeravam igrati košarku za WNBA Phoenix Mercury ove sezone - poručila je 32-godišnja Amerikanka.

Objavljeno je kako se Griner vraća u Phoenix kao slobodna igračica potpisavši jednogodišnji ugovor vrijedan 165.100 dolara.

Nakon deset mjeseci u ruskom zatvoru nastavlja karijeru, Brittney Griner potpisala ugovor s Phoenixom

Nakon što je deset mjeseci provela u ruskom zatvoru, američka košarkašica Brittney Griner vraća se na WNBA parkete nakon što je potpisala jednogodišnji ugovor za Phoenix Mercury.

Griner je za Phoenix igrala od 2013. do privođenja 17. veljače prošle godine u moskovskoj zračnoj luci. Naime, izvan WNBA sezone od 2014. godine je igrala je i za ruski klub UMMC Ekaterinburg.

Dvostruka osvajačica zlatne olimpijske medalje uhićena u moskovskoj zračnoj luci kada je u njezinoj prtljazi pronađeno ulje kanabisa, koje je zabranjeno u Rusiji.

U kolovozu je osuđena na devet godina zatvora zbog posjedovanja i krijumčarenja droge. Priznala je krivnju, kazavši kako nije namjeravala prekršiti zakon. Međutim, u prosincu je zamijenjena za ruskog trgovca oružjem Viktora Bouta.
