Čekajući službeno "zeleno svjetlo" za premijerni nastup, koje mu je morao dati NCAA (sveučilišna košarka), Zvonimir Ivišić propustio je prvih 16 utakmica sezone Kentucky Wildcatsa. Zbog administrativnih peripetija, 219 centimetara visoki hrvatski košarkaš iz Viteza više od tri mjeseca u SAD-u je iščekivao "slobodu", koju je dočekao u subotu kada se predstavio domaćoj publici. Ušavši u igru s klupe, 20-godišnjak je u 16 minuta na parketu oduševio Amerikance, pišu Sportske novosti.

U slavlju njegove momčadi protiv Georgia Bulldogsa (105:96), Ivišić je isporučio 13 poena (5/7 iz igre), pet skokova, dvije asistencije, dvije ukradene lopte i tri blokade. Posebno impresivno otvaranje imao je s linije za tri poena, odakle je bio uspješan u tri od četiri pokušaja, pogodivši tri trice u nizu. Svakim novim ubačajem, ali i bilo kakvim dobrim potezom, Ivišić je bacao domaće navijače u trans, koji su prije njegova debija pokrenuli svojevrsnu kampanju kako bi on što prije zaigrao.

- Uvijek se raspravlja koji je najglasniji zvuk proizveden u našoj Rupp Areni, a ovaj nakon njegova debija sigurno ulazi u konkurenciju - poručio je za The Athletic Tom Leach, spiker Wildcatsa.

Nakon što je stiglo odobrenje za njegov nastup, trener John Calipari u uredu je Ivišiću javio sretne vijesti, a Hrvat je otkrio kako su obojica u tom trenutku zaplakala i počela skakati. Ujedno, trener ga je usporedio s jednim od najuzbudljivijih igračkih projekata u NBA ligi.

- Mislio sam da će odigrati nekoliko minuta, tek toliko da osjeti parket i možda zabije koš. Umjesto toga, on je ušao u igru i pretvorio se u Victora Wembanyamu - rekao je Calipari, a o Ivišiću, kojega zovu "Big Z", raspisali su se svi američki mediji.

Ivišić je prije odlaska u NCAA dvije sezone igrao za crnogorski Studentski Centar u ABA ligi, kao i njegov brat blizanac Tomislav.

Čekajući službeno "zeleno svjetlo" za premijerni nastup, koje mu je morao dati NCAA (sveučilišna košarka), Zvonimir Ivišić propustio je prvih 16 utakmica sezone Kentucky Wildcatsa. Zbog administrativnih peripetija, 219 centimetara visoki hrvatski košarkaš iz Viteza više od tri mjeseca u SAD-u je iščekivao "slobodu", koju je dočekao u subotu kada se predstavio domaćoj publici. Ušavši u igru s klupe, 20-godišnjak je u 16 minuta na parketu oduševio Amerikance, pišu Sportske novosti.

U slavlju njegove momčadi protiv Georgia Bulldogsa (105:96), Ivišić je isporučio 13 poena (5/7 iz igre), pet skokova, dvije asistencije, dvije ukradene lopte i tri blokade. Posebno impresivno otvaranje imao je s linije za tri poena, odakle je bio uspješan u tri od četiri pokušaja, pogodivši tri trice u nizu. Svakim novim ubačajem, ali i bilo kakvim dobrim potezom, Ivišić je bacao domaće navijače u trans, koji su prije njegova debija pokrenuli svojevrsnu kampanju kako bi on što prije zaigrao.

- Uvijek se raspravlja koji je najglasniji zvuk proizveden u našoj Rupp Areni, a ovaj nakon njegova debija sigurno ulazi u konkurenciju - poručio je za The Athletic Tom Leach, spiker Wildcatsa.

Nakon što je stiglo odobrenje za njegov nastup, trener John Calipari u uredu je Ivišiću javio sretne vijesti, a Hrvat je otkrio kako su obojica u tom trenutku zaplakala i počela skakati. Ujedno, trener ga je usporedio s jednim od najuzbudljivijih igračkih projekata u NBA ligi.

- Mislio sam da će odigrati nekoliko minuta, tek toliko da osjeti parket i možda zabije koš. Umjesto toga, on je ušao u igru i pretvorio se u Victora Wembanyamu - rekao je Calipari, a o Ivišiću, kojega zovu "Big Z", raspisali su se svi američki mediji.

Ivišić je prije odlaska u NCAA dvije sezone igrao za crnogorski Studentski Centar u ABA ligi, kao i njegov brat blizanac Tomislav.

Mladi Hrvat bacio Amerikance u trans: Briljirao u debiju, usporedili ga s Wembanyamom

Čekajući službeno "zeleno svjetlo" za premijerni nastup, koje mu je morao dati NCAA (sveučilišna košarka), Zvonimir Ivišić propustio je prvih 16 utakmica sezone Kentucky Wildcatsa. Zbog administrativnih peripetija, 219 centimetara visoki hrvatski košarkaš iz Viteza više od tri mjeseca u SAD-u je iščekivao "slobodu", koju je dočekao u subotu kada se predstavio domaćoj publici. Ušavši u igru s klupe, 20-godišnjak je u 16 minuta na parketu oduševio Amerikance, pišu Sportske novosti.

U slavlju njegove momčadi protiv Georgia Bulldogsa (105:96), Ivišić je isporučio 13 poena (5/7 iz igre), pet skokova, dvije asistencije, dvije ukradene lopte i tri blokade. Posebno impresivno otvaranje imao je s linije za tri poena, odakle je bio uspješan u tri od četiri pokušaja, pogodivši tri trice u nizu. Svakim novim ubačajem, ali i bilo kakvim dobrim potezom, Ivišić je bacao domaće navijače u trans, koji su prije njegova debija pokrenuli svojevrsnu kampanju kako bi on što prije zaigrao.

- Uvijek se raspravlja koji je najglasniji zvuk proizveden u našoj Rupp Areni, a ovaj nakon njegova debija sigurno ulazi u konkurenciju - poručio je za The Athletic Tom Leach, spiker Wildcatsa.

Nakon što je stiglo odobrenje za njegov nastup, trener John Calipari u uredu je Ivišiću javio sretne vijesti, a Hrvat je otkrio kako su obojica u tom trenutku zaplakala i počela skakati. Ujedno, trener ga je usporedio s jednim od najuzbudljivijih igračkih projekata u NBA ligi.

- Mislio sam da će odigrati nekoliko minuta, tek toliko da osjeti parket i možda zabije koš. Umjesto toga, on je ušao u igru i pretvorio se u Victora Wembanyamu - rekao je Calipari, a o Ivišiću, kojega zovu "Big Z", raspisali su se svi američki mediji.

Ivišić je prije odlaska u NCAA dvije sezone igrao za crnogorski Studentski Centar u ABA ligi, kao i njegov brat blizanac Tomislav.
