Georg Koch oprašta se od života. Borba bivšeg vratara Dinama s rakom gušterače nažalost ima izvjestan ishod. Kada je dobio dijagnozu rečeno mu je kako mu je ostalo još pola godine života. Te liječničke prognoze je premašio iako je svjestan kako 53. rođendan u veljači iduće godine vrlo vjerojatno neće dočekati.

- Bolest je neizlječiva, umrijet ću. Liječnici su mi prije godinu dana rekli da imam šest mjeseci života, ali još sam tu. Volio bih pogledati još po jednu utakmicu svakog kluba u kojem sam igrao - priznao je Koch

Iz Dinama su odmah reagirali. Iz maksimirskog kluba su se oglasili na društvenim mrežama uz kratku poruku "nikad ne buš hodal sam. Georg, du bist nicht allein – wir sind bei dir!". A onda su i stupili u kontakt s bivšim vratarom. Nova Dinamova vlast koju predvodi Velimir Zajec iznimnu pozornost posvećuje bivšim igračima maksimirskog kluba, pišu Sportske novosti.

Treba istaknuti kako je Koch pozvan na utakmicu Modrih, ali o Nijemcu ovisi hoće li moći doći na utakmicu s Osijekom 11. svibnja ili Rudešom 25. svibnja.O Kochovom zdravstvenom stanju i terapijama ovisi kada će doživjeti još jednom ovacije Maksimira, prvi puta nakon 16 godina.

- Ima dana kad mi se čini da bih mogao iščupati drvo! Tada hodam satima. A ima faza kad se osjećam jadno i ne ustajem iz kreveta. Jer za stvari za koje mi je inače potrebno pet sekundi, tad mi treba pola minute. Ali borim se i ne kukam, to nikad nije bio moj stil - rekao je umirovljeni vratar za Bild.

Koch u rukama ima 213 bundesligaških utakmica braneći za Kaiserslautern, Fortunu Düsseldorf, Arminiju Bielefeld i Duisburg, a u Dinamu mu je bila dovoljna jedna sezona da ostavi neizbrisiv trag. Nedugo po odlasku iz Dinama Koch je zaključio karijeru. Branio je još jednu polusezonu za bečki Rapid, a ta kratka epizoda mu je zaključila karijeru. Naime, u bečkom derbiju huligani su bacili petardu prema travnjaku koja mu je eksplodirala tik pored desnog uha.

Kao posljedicu toga nosio se sa vrtloglavicama, problemima s ravnotežom i oštećenjem sluha. Beč je brzo napustio, a nakon kraćeg vremena bez kluba, od siječnja 2009. do rujna 2009., karijeru je zaključio u niželigašu Herfordu čiji je dres nosio svega dva mjeseca. Po završetku karijere bavio se trenerskim poslom, bio je trener vratara u njemačkim niželigašima, a posljednji posao bio mu je onaj team managera u Viktoriji Köln. Tu je funkciju napustio prije godinu dana nakon što mu je dijagnosticirana zloćudna bolest.

Georg Koch oprašta se od života. Borba bivšeg vratara Dinama s rakom gušterače nažalost ima izvjestan ishod. Kada je dobio dijagnozu rečeno mu je kako mu je ostalo još pola godine života. Te liječničke prognoze je premašio iako je svjestan kako 53. rođendan u veljači iduće godine vrlo vjerojatno neće dočekati.

- Bolest je neizlječiva, umrijet ću. Liječnici su mi prije godinu dana rekli da imam šest mjeseci života, ali još sam tu. Volio bih pogledati još po jednu utakmicu svakog kluba u kojem sam igrao - priznao je Koch

Iz Dinama su odmah reagirali. Iz maksimirskog kluba su se oglasili na društvenim mrežama uz kratku poruku "nikad ne buš hodal sam. Georg, du bist nicht allein – wir sind bei dir!". A onda su i stupili u kontakt s bivšim vratarom. Nova Dinamova vlast koju predvodi Velimir Zajec iznimnu pozornost posvećuje bivšim igračima maksimirskog kluba, pišu Sportske novosti.

Treba istaknuti kako je Koch pozvan na utakmicu Modrih, ali o Nijemcu ovisi hoće li moći doći na utakmicu s Osijekom 11. svibnja ili Rudešom 25. svibnja.O Kochovom zdravstvenom stanju i terapijama ovisi kada će doživjeti još jednom ovacije Maksimira, prvi puta nakon 16 godina.

- Ima dana kad mi se čini da bih mogao iščupati drvo! Tada hodam satima. A ima faza kad se osjećam jadno i ne ustajem iz kreveta. Jer za stvari za koje mi je inače potrebno pet sekundi, tad mi treba pola minute. Ali borim se i ne kukam, to nikad nije bio moj stil - rekao je umirovljeni vratar za Bild.

Koch u rukama ima 213 bundesligaških utakmica braneći za Kaiserslautern, Fortunu Düsseldorf, Arminiju Bielefeld i Duisburg, a u Dinamu mu je bila dovoljna jedna sezona da ostavi neizbrisiv trag. Nedugo po odlasku iz Dinama Koch je zaključio karijeru. Branio je još jednu polusezonu za bečki Rapid, a ta kratka epizoda mu je zaključila karijeru. Naime, u bečkom derbiju huligani su bacili petardu prema travnjaku koja mu je eksplodirala tik pored desnog uha.

Kao posljedicu toga nosio se sa vrtloglavicama, problemima s ravnotežom i oštećenjem sluha. Beč je brzo napustio, a nakon kraćeg vremena bez kluba, od siječnja 2009. do rujna 2009., karijeru je zaključio u niželigašu Herfordu čiji je dres nosio svega dva mjeseca. Po završetku karijere bavio se trenerskim poslom, bio je trener vratara u njemačkim niželigašima, a posljednji posao bio mu je onaj team managera u Viktoriji Köln. Tu je funkciju napustio prije godinu dana nakon što mu je dijagnosticirana zloćudna bolest.
