Stranka Pametno za Split i Dalmaciju, na čelu s predsjednicom i kandidatkinjom za gradonačelnicu Kristinom Vidan, na Karepovcu je organizirala piknik. Performansom su poslali simboličnu poruku i upozorenje na to što građane čeka ako se hitno nešto ne poduzme.
- Ovim piknikom želimo skrenuti pažnju na veliki problem koji će se dogoditi s otpadom kroz dvije do tri godine. Sve prethodne vlasti uključujući i onu Ivice Puljka, nisu napravile ništa kako bi se ovdje zaustavilo gomilanje smeća, samo su promatrale kao da su na pikniku s pogledom na planinu kako se vizure Karepovca popunjavaju i rastu. Mi smatramo da je upravo Karepovac i s njim povezano odvajanje otpada gorući problem za koji nam je sat već odavno počeo otkucavati tik-tak i zato je on prvi s kojim se mislimo uhvatiti u koštac po dolasku u Banovinu.

Sanitarna ploha na koju trenutno odlažemo otpad može trajati još dvije do tri godine. Nakon toga ćemo otpad morati odvoziti na druge lokacije u Hrvatskoj ili izvan nje, a to će višestruko povećati cijenu odvoza. U protivnom, postoji mogućnost da nastane kaos sa smećem, da prepunjeni kontejneri i prostor oko njih postanu naša svakodnevica, kao i ponovno gušenje u smradu, ovoga puta ispod naših prozora - kazala je Kristina Vidan.

Rješenje za navedene probleme vide u preuzimanju odgovornosti od strane Grada Splita koji treba u suradnji s gradskom “Čistoćom” osigurati infrastrukturu i unaprijediti prikupljanje otpada kako bi se brzo i efikasno postigli mnogo veći udjeli odvojenog otpada od sadašnjih.
- Grad treba hitno napraviti sve kako bi se smanjila količina odloženog otpada. Prikupljanje otpada 'od vrata do vrata', moderna kompostana i sortirnica te naplata po količini stvorenog otpada koja bi potaknula građane na odvajanje, samo su dio plana kojim planiramo smanjiti količinu otpada koji stiže na Karepovac.
Također treba puno više educirati i građane na terenu kako bi znali gdje i kako odvajati otpad, a to se posebno odnosi na biootpad čijim bi se prikupljanjem za 30 % smanjila količina otpada koji se odlaže na Karepovac, a trenutna situacija je da imamo zajedničke kontejnere za biootpad iz kojih gotovo sve završi na Karepovcu jer nije pravilno odvojeno. Zbrinjavanja otpada je trenutno najveći problema grada i mi ćemo napraviti sve kako bi se on počeo rješavati odmah - kazala je Vidan.
Pametno za Split i Dalmaciju nastavlja zagovarati da Grad Split preuzme odgovornost za svoj otpad i hitno uvede sustav prikupljanja koji će poticati na bitno smanjenje nastanka otpada te izgradi kompostanu i sortirnicu koje bi omogućila da samo zaista mali dio otpada treba zbrinuti na Karepovcu, odnosno u budućnosti negdje drugdje.

Stranka Pametno za Split i Dalmaciju, na čelu s predsjednicom i kandidatkinjom za gradonačelnicu Kristinom Vidan, na Karepovcu je organizirala piknik. Performansom su poslali simboličnu poruku i upozorenje na to što građane čeka ako se hitno nešto ne poduzme.
- Ovim piknikom želimo skrenuti pažnju na veliki problem koji će se dogoditi s otpadom kroz dvije do tri godine. Sve prethodne vlasti uključujući i onu Ivice Puljka, nisu napravile ništa kako bi se ovdje zaustavilo gomilanje smeća, samo su promatrale kao da su na pikniku s pogledom na planinu kako se vizure Karepovca popunjavaju i rastu. Mi smatramo da je upravo Karepovac i s njim povezano odvajanje otpada gorući problem za koji nam je sat već odavno počeo otkucavati tik-tak i zato je on prvi s kojim se mislimo uhvatiti u koštac po dolasku u Banovinu.

Sanitarna ploha na koju trenutno odlažemo otpad može trajati još dvije do tri godine. Nakon toga ćemo otpad morati odvoziti na druge lokacije u Hrvatskoj ili izvan nje, a to će višestruko povećati cijenu odvoza. U protivnom, postoji mogućnost da nastane kaos sa smećem, da prepunjeni kontejneri i prostor oko njih postanu naša svakodnevica, kao i ponovno gušenje u smradu, ovoga puta ispod naših prozora - kazala je Kristina Vidan.

Rješenje za navedene probleme vide u preuzimanju odgovornosti od strane Grada Splita koji treba u suradnji s gradskom “Čistoćom” osigurati infrastrukturu i unaprijediti prikupljanje otpada kako bi se brzo i efikasno postigli mnogo veći udjeli odvojenog otpada od sadašnjih.
- Grad treba hitno napraviti sve kako bi se smanjila količina odloženog otpada. Prikupljanje otpada 'od vrata do vrata', moderna kompostana i sortirnica te naplata po količini stvorenog otpada koja bi potaknula građane na odvajanje, samo su dio plana kojim planiramo smanjiti količinu otpada koji stiže na Karepovac.
Također treba puno više educirati i građane na terenu kako bi znali gdje i kako odvajati otpad, a to se posebno odnosi na biootpad čijim bi se prikupljanjem za 30 % smanjila količina otpada koji se odlaže na Karepovac, a trenutna situacija je da imamo zajedničke kontejnere za biootpad iz kojih gotovo sve završi na Karepovcu jer nije pravilno odvojeno. Zbrinjavanja otpada je trenutno najveći problema grada i mi ćemo napraviti sve kako bi se on počeo rješavati odmah - kazala je Vidan.
Pametno za Split i Dalmaciju nastavlja zagovarati da Grad Split preuzme odgovornost za svoj otpad i hitno uvede sustav prikupljanja koji će poticati na bitno smanjenje nastanka otpada te izgradi kompostanu i sortirnicu koje bi omogućila da samo zaista mali dio otpada treba zbrinuti na Karepovcu, odnosno u budućnosti negdje drugdje.
