Da Rusija nije izvršila invaziju na Ukrajinu, Australka Jessica Van Nooten bi upravo sada bila sa svojim novorođenčetom. Umjesto toga, njezina kći Alba je u ukrajinskoj bolnici, a ona je 1000 kilometara dalje u Poljskoj sa suprugom Kevinom.

Albin dolazak 22. veljače bio je neočekivan - njihova kćer rođena je 10 tjedana ranije. Bračni par iz Melbournea brzo je spakirao torbe kako bi bio s njom, no njihov je let bio preusmjeren kada su ruske trupe u četvrtak ušle u Ukrajinu. A sve što Jessica može sada učiniti je čekati, piše Yahoo.

Jessica Van Nooten  i njezin suprug odlučili su imati dijete koje će im roditi surogat majke nakon 15 neuspješnih pokušaja umjetne oplodnje.  Komercijalno surogat majčinstvo, gdje se nekome plaća da nosi bebu za nekog drugog, nezakonito je u Australiji. Zato su odlučili pronaći surogat majku u inozemstvu. Ukrajina je druga najpopularnija zemlja za parove koji žele dijete surogat majčinstvo, odmah nakon SAD-a. Ali parovi moraju biti heteroseksualni i vjenčani, a žena mora dokazati da ima zdravstveno stanje koje joj sprječava roditi dijete.

Jessica odabrala je Ukrajinu jer su surogat majke bile "dobro zbrinute", primale odgovarajuću medicinsku skrb i tjednu plaću. No, par nije očekivao da će im se beba roditi prijevremeno u Odesi, na jugu zemlje, te da će agresija Rusije eskalirati.

Par se u srijedu navečer ukrcao na let za Ukrajinu, manje od jednog dana prije početka bombaškog napada u glavnom gradu Kijevu.

No dok su čekali u Dubaiju tijekom zaustavljanja, primili su poziv iz australskog Ministarstva vanjskih poslova i trgovine (DFAT).

"Rekli su mi: 'Svi letovi su otkazani'", rekla je Jessica.

"A ja sam rekla: 'Prilično sam sigurna da još uvijek idu'."

Jessica je tada od avioprijevoznika primila tekstualnu poruku u kojoj je pisalo da je njihov let prizemljen, pa su brzo  otrčali do info pulta.

"Bili smo jedni od prvih ljudi tamo, hvala Bogu, jer je red nakon toga postao ogroman", rekla je  Jessica.

Avioprijevoznik je paru ponudio let za Moskvu u Rusiji, ali su oni odbili i odabrali jedan za Poljsku.

"Nismo mogli vjerovati da je Moskva opcija", rekla je Jessica.

Par je stigao u poljsku prijestolnicu Varšavu u petak , ali Jessica je rekla da imaju "ograničene mogućnosti".

"Priča se da ako uspijemo doći do granice možemo dobiti vozača da nas odveze, ali onda je netko drugi rekao da su granice zatvorene", rekla je.

“Ali mislim da će nam agencija reći da ostanemo gdje jesmo, tako da ne znam što ćemo učiniti. Samo želimo stići tamo."

Unatoč tome što je ukrajinski predsjednik Volodymyr Zelenskyy najavio izvanredno stanje i naredio ukrajinskim građanima da ostanu u svojim domovima, Jessica kaže da će nastaviti.

"Nemam pojma, ne gledam vijesti - nisam gledala vijesti tjednima, jer me to samo uznemirava", rekla je.

"Napravili smo 15 puta umjetnu oplodnju, koristili smo surogat majku, imamo globalnu pandemiju, politički rat, a sada i prijevremeno rođenu bebu, što još?", piše Yahoo.

Da Rusija nije izvršila invaziju na Ukrajinu, Australka Jessica Van Nooten bi upravo sada bila sa svojim novorođenčetom. Umjesto toga, njezina kći Alba je u ukrajinskoj bolnici, a ona je 1000 kilometara dalje u Poljskoj sa suprugom Kevinom.

Albin dolazak 22. veljače bio je neočekivan - njihova kćer rođena je 10 tjedana ranije. Bračni par iz Melbournea brzo je spakirao torbe kako bi bio s njom, no njihov je let bio preusmjeren kada su ruske trupe u četvrtak ušle u Ukrajinu. A sve što Jessica može sada učiniti je čekati, piše Yahoo.

Jessica Van Nooten  i njezin suprug odlučili su imati dijete koje će im roditi surogat majke nakon 15 neuspješnih pokušaja umjetne oplodnje.  Komercijalno surogat majčinstvo, gdje se nekome plaća da nosi bebu za nekog drugog, nezakonito je u Australiji. Zato su odlučili pronaći surogat majku u inozemstvu. Ukrajina je druga najpopularnija zemlja za parove koji žele dijete surogat majčinstvo, odmah nakon SAD-a. Ali parovi moraju biti heteroseksualni i vjenčani, a žena mora dokazati da ima zdravstveno stanje koje joj sprječava roditi dijete.

Jessica odabrala je Ukrajinu jer su surogat majke bile "dobro zbrinute", primale odgovarajuću medicinsku skrb i tjednu plaću. No, par nije očekivao da će im se beba roditi prijevremeno u Odesi, na jugu zemlje, te da će agresija Rusije eskalirati.

Par se u srijedu navečer ukrcao na let za Ukrajinu, manje od jednog dana prije početka bombaškog napada u glavnom gradu Kijevu.

No dok su čekali u Dubaiju tijekom zaustavljanja, primili su poziv iz australskog Ministarstva vanjskih poslova i trgovine (DFAT).

"Rekli su mi: 'Svi letovi su otkazani'", rekla je Jessica.

"A ja sam rekla: 'Prilično sam sigurna da još uvijek idu'."

Jessica je tada od avioprijevoznika primila tekstualnu poruku u kojoj je pisalo da je njihov let prizemljen, pa su brzo  otrčali do info pulta.

"Bili smo jedni od prvih ljudi tamo, hvala Bogu, jer je red nakon toga postao ogroman", rekla je  Jessica.

Avioprijevoznik je paru ponudio let za Moskvu u Rusiji, ali su oni odbili i odabrali jedan za Poljsku.

"Nismo mogli vjerovati da je Moskva opcija", rekla je Jessica.

Par je stigao u poljsku prijestolnicu Varšavu u petak , ali Jessica je rekla da imaju "ograničene mogućnosti".

"Priča se da ako uspijemo doći do granice možemo dobiti vozača da nas odveze, ali onda je netko drugi rekao da su granice zatvorene", rekla je.

“Ali mislim da će nam agencija reći da ostanemo gdje jesmo, tako da ne znam što ćemo učiniti. Samo želimo stići tamo."

Unatoč tome što je ukrajinski predsjednik Volodymyr Zelenskyy najavio izvanredno stanje i naredio ukrajinskim građanima da ostanu u svojim domovima, Jessica kaže da će nastaviti.

"Nemam pojma, ne gledam vijesti - nisam gledala vijesti tjednima, jer me to samo uznemirava", rekla je.

"Napravili smo 15 puta umjetnu oplodnju, koristili smo surogat majku, imamo globalnu pandemiju, politički rat, a sada i prijevremeno rođenu bebu, što još?", piše Yahoo.
