Kada je Madison Miller došla na aerodrom u američkom Nashvilleu, gdje je trebala pokupiti svojeg psa, imala je osjećaj da nešto nije u redu. To se pokazalo točnim kad su joj ljudi od kojih je trebala preuzeti ljubimca rekli da postoji mali problem. Zemljopisni problem, piše Jutarnji list.

- Vaš pas je dobro, ali mislimo da je poslan u Saudijsku Arabiju - rekli su joj.

Madison je osjetila da se soba oko nje vrti. Su suprugom Jamesom netom prije se preselila iz Velike Britanije u Nashville. Oni su išli jednim letom, a organizirali su da njihova ljubimica Bluebell dođe drugim letom. Trebala je biti u odjeljku s prtljagom aviona British Airwaysa i to je bila jedina opcija, jer niti jedan drugi prijevoznik na toj relaciji nije dozvoljavao kućne ljubimce. Njenim vlasnicima nije bilo drago da im se ljubimica vozi kao prtljaga i odvojeno od njih, ali su pristali.

No, umjesto da Bluebell ukrcaju na avion za SAD, zaposlenici kompanije su je slučajno poslali u Rijad, glavni grad Saudijske Arabije. Drugog psa, koji je trebao doći u taj grad, navodno su poslali u SAD.

- Bila sam toliko šokirana da sam u jednom času pomislila da je to to i da nikada više neću vidjeti svojeg psa - rekla je Madison za Washington Post.

Iz IAG Cargo, tvrtke koja surađuje s British Airwaysom, kažu kako, ‘iako je Bluebellina ruta bila duža nego je bilo potrebno, odmah nakon uočenog propusta poslana je na let za SAD‘.

- Jako nam je žao zbog greške koja se dogodila. Veoma ozbiljno shvaćamo brigu za voljene ljubimce naših putnika, pa želimo da svi znaju kako smo pokrenuli istragu kojom ćemo otkriti kako je do ove greške došlo - kažu iz te tvrtke.

Slaba je to utjeha vlasnicima, a i psu. Oni su, naime, prije šest mjeseci počeli s ozbiljnim treninzima kako bi se Bluebell navikla biti u kavezu kojim će je prevesti preko oceana. Cijeli taj koncept im je bio veoma stresan, rekla je Madison.

- Iskreno, čak smo provjeravali koliko košta privatni let, jer sam bila jako, jako nervozna oko toga. No, nismo si to mogli priuštiti - rekla je.

Kad su shvatili da im je prijevoz s prtljagom jedina opcija, počeli su s treninzima. Morali su je naviknuti da će osam sati provesti kavezu, pa su petogodišnju kujicu na to mjesecima pripremili. No, ništa ih nije moglo pripremiti na zamjenu, a da se ne spominje kako je jadnim psima koje su zamijenili. Umjesto osam sati putovanja, oboje je provelo 63 u bučnom, malom prostoru, gdje je hladno i puno nepoznatih mirisa.

Kad je nesretna Bluebell konačno došla u novi dom, nije bila baš najbolje. Čim je Madison otvorila vrata boksa, ona je odmah izjurila. Činilo se da je izvan sebe.

- Postala je vlastita sjena i nije ista kao prije leta - kaže njena vlasnica.

Kujica je sada slijedi svugdje po kući i ne odvaja se. Boksu se više ne želi približiti, a počela je patiti od separacijske anksioznosti i uništava sve po stanu kad je ostave samu. Zbog toga je na lijekovima za smirenje koje je prepisao veterinar, a njeni vlasnici od IAG Carga traže deset tisuća dolara, kao kompenzaciju za lijekove i stvari koje im je doma uništila.

Missy Matusicky, asistentica na Ohio State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, kaže kako je ovakvo ponašanje uobičajeno kod životinja koje su prošle stresan put poput ovog. Puno toga je problematično: nema vlasnika, boks se pomiče, a kad obave što imaju, to ostaje uz njih. Psi su čisti i činjenica da im je vlastiti izmet toliko blizu im je duboko odvratna, piše Jutarnji list.

- Žao mi je što je kujica morala proći ovako užasno iskustvo. Po onome što sam vidjela kod drugih pasa, možemo govoriti o psihički slomljenom psu. Tako će biti idućih mjeseci, a možda čak i do kraja njenog života. To je razarajuće iskustvo - pojasnila je Matusicky.

Kada je Madison Miller došla na aerodrom u američkom Nashvilleu, gdje je trebala pokupiti svojeg psa, imala je osjećaj da nešto nije u redu. To se pokazalo točnim kad su joj ljudi od kojih je trebala preuzeti ljubimca rekli da postoji mali problem. Zemljopisni problem, piše Jutarnji list.

- Vaš pas je dobro, ali mislimo da je poslan u Saudijsku Arabiju - rekli su joj.

Madison je osjetila da se soba oko nje vrti. Su suprugom Jamesom netom prije se preselila iz Velike Britanije u Nashville. Oni su išli jednim letom, a organizirali su da njihova ljubimica Bluebell dođe drugim letom. Trebala je biti u odjeljku s prtljagom aviona British Airwaysa i to je bila jedina opcija, jer niti jedan drugi prijevoznik na toj relaciji nije dozvoljavao kućne ljubimce. Njenim vlasnicima nije bilo drago da im se ljubimica vozi kao prtljaga i odvojeno od njih, ali su pristali.

No, umjesto da Bluebell ukrcaju na avion za SAD, zaposlenici kompanije su je slučajno poslali u Rijad, glavni grad Saudijske Arabije. Drugog psa, koji je trebao doći u taj grad, navodno su poslali u SAD.

- Bila sam toliko šokirana da sam u jednom času pomislila da je to to i da nikada više neću vidjeti svojeg psa - rekla je Madison za Washington Post.

Iz IAG Cargo, tvrtke koja surađuje s British Airwaysom, kažu kako, ‘iako je Bluebellina ruta bila duža nego je bilo potrebno, odmah nakon uočenog propusta poslana je na let za SAD‘.

- Jako nam je žao zbog greške koja se dogodila. Veoma ozbiljno shvaćamo brigu za voljene ljubimce naših putnika, pa želimo da svi znaju kako smo pokrenuli istragu kojom ćemo otkriti kako je do ove greške došlo - kažu iz te tvrtke.

Slaba je to utjeha vlasnicima, a i psu. Oni su, naime, prije šest mjeseci počeli s ozbiljnim treninzima kako bi se Bluebell navikla biti u kavezu kojim će je prevesti preko oceana. Cijeli taj koncept im je bio veoma stresan, rekla je Madison.

- Iskreno, čak smo provjeravali koliko košta privatni let, jer sam bila jako, jako nervozna oko toga. No, nismo si to mogli priuštiti - rekla je.

Kad su shvatili da im je prijevoz s prtljagom jedina opcija, počeli su s treninzima. Morali su je naviknuti da će osam sati provesti kavezu, pa su petogodišnju kujicu na to mjesecima pripremili. No, ništa ih nije moglo pripremiti na zamjenu, a da se ne spominje kako je jadnim psima koje su zamijenili. Umjesto osam sati putovanja, oboje je provelo 63 u bučnom, malom prostoru, gdje je hladno i puno nepoznatih mirisa.

Kad je nesretna Bluebell konačno došla u novi dom, nije bila baš najbolje. Čim je Madison otvorila vrata boksa, ona je odmah izjurila. Činilo se da je izvan sebe.

- Postala je vlastita sjena i nije ista kao prije leta - kaže njena vlasnica.

Kujica je sada slijedi svugdje po kući i ne odvaja se. Boksu se više ne želi približiti, a počela je patiti od separacijske anksioznosti i uništava sve po stanu kad je ostave samu. Zbog toga je na lijekovima za smirenje koje je prepisao veterinar, a njeni vlasnici od IAG Carga traže deset tisuća dolara, kao kompenzaciju za lijekove i stvari koje im je doma uništila.

Missy Matusicky, asistentica na Ohio State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, kaže kako je ovakvo ponašanje uobičajeno kod životinja koje su prošle stresan put poput ovog. Puno toga je problematično: nema vlasnika, boks se pomiče, a kad obave što imaju, to ostaje uz njih. Psi su čisti i činjenica da im je vlastiti izmet toliko blizu im je duboko odvratna, piše Jutarnji list.

- Žao mi je što je kujica morala proći ovako užasno iskustvo. Po onome što sam vidjela kod drugih pasa, možemo govoriti o psihički slomljenom psu. Tako će biti idućih mjeseci, a možda čak i do kraja njenog života. To je razarajuće iskustvo - pojasnila je Matusicky.
