Energetska pića reklamiraju se kao "trenutačne navale enrgije", "podizači", pa čak i ukusna zamjena za kavu, no prema najnovijim istraživanjima, mogla bi imati i neočekivane negativne posljedice na zdravlje, piše CNN .
Studiju je najprije objavio Journal of the American Heart Association, a zaključak je da energetska pića koja obiluju kofeinom mijenjaju srčani ritam i mogu povisiti krvni tlak.
"Generalno se te promjene smatraju neznatnima", tvrdi jedan od autora istraživanja Sachin Shah, no upozoravaju da se oni koji pate od određenih srčanih bolesti ili piju lijekove, mogu dovesti u neposrednu opasnost konzumirajući ova pića. Stanje može doseći granicu fatalne aritmije ili potpuno uznemiriti srčani ritam.
"Potrošački proizvodi i suplementi ne prolaze nužno kroz jednake provjere kroz koje prolaze lijekovi", tvrdi Shah. A upravo tu se krije opasnost.
Mnogi tvrde kako se "sporni" sastojci ove vrste pića ionako nalaze u nekim namirnicama koje i odrasli i djeca redovito konzumiraju. No stručnjaci ne drže stoga opasnosti ništa manjima, proglašavaju ih "opasnošću za zdravlje srca", a kažu i da "ih djeca ne bi trebala konzumirati".
No upozorenjima unatoč, tržište energetskih pića raste, a najveći potrošači mladi su ljudi. Standardni su dio miješanih pića prilikom izlazaka, a brojni studenti ne mogu zamisliti učenje bez jedne limenke pri ruci. Piju ih sportaši, rekreativci, popodne, ujutro i uvečer.
U čemu je problem?
Većina energetskih pića sadrže velike količine kofeina, obiluju i šećerom i vitaminskim dodacima, a sadrže i "legalne podizače" poput guarane. Taurin, aminokiselina koju pronalazimo u mesu i ribi te L-carnitin, supstanca koja omogućuje našemu tijelu da pretvara mast u energiju, također su prisutne.
"Zabrinutost nastaje zbog toga što su navedeni vitamini, aminokiseline i "trave" u jednoj limenci energetskog pića prisutni u znatno većoj koncentraciji od one koju nalazimo u prirodi, a izmiješane s kofeinom, mogu postati vrlo štetne", upozorava dijetetičarka Katherine Zeratsky.
"Ljudi moraju biti svjesni da se ne zna mnogo o utjecajima energetskih pića na ljudski organizam, a ne zna se točno ni ostavljaju li negativne posljedice na zdravlje, no ako je suditi isključivo prema posljednjim istraživanjima, moglo bi biti upravo tako".
Oni u dobnoj skupini ispod 18, trudnice i oni koji su alergični na kofein pritom su u najvećoj opasnosti. Isto tako, oni koji konzumiraju lijekove za koncentraciju te oni koji nisu navikli na kofein u dnevnoj dozi, trebali bi pripaziti.

Energetska pića reklamiraju se kao "trenutačne navale enrgije", "podizači", pa čak i ukusna zamjena za kavu, no prema najnovijim istraživanjima, mogla bi imati i neočekivane negativne posljedice na zdravlje, piše CNN .
Studiju je najprije objavio Journal of the American Heart Association, a zaključak je da energetska pića koja obiluju kofeinom mijenjaju srčani ritam i mogu povisiti krvni tlak.
"Generalno se te promjene smatraju neznatnima", tvrdi jedan od autora istraživanja Sachin Shah, no upozoravaju da se oni koji pate od određenih srčanih bolesti ili piju lijekove, mogu dovesti u neposrednu opasnost konzumirajući ova pića. Stanje može doseći granicu fatalne aritmije ili potpuno uznemiriti srčani ritam.
"Potrošački proizvodi i suplementi ne prolaze nužno kroz jednake provjere kroz koje prolaze lijekovi", tvrdi Shah. A upravo tu se krije opasnost.
Mnogi tvrde kako se "sporni" sastojci ove vrste pića ionako nalaze u nekim namirnicama koje i odrasli i djeca redovito konzumiraju. No stručnjaci ne drže stoga opasnosti ništa manjima, proglašavaju ih "opasnošću za zdravlje srca", a kažu i da "ih djeca ne bi trebala konzumirati".
No upozorenjima unatoč, tržište energetskih pića raste, a najveći potrošači mladi su ljudi. Standardni su dio miješanih pića prilikom izlazaka, a brojni studenti ne mogu zamisliti učenje bez jedne limenke pri ruci. Piju ih sportaši, rekreativci, popodne, ujutro i uvečer.
U čemu je problem?
Većina energetskih pića sadrže velike količine kofeina, obiluju i šećerom i vitaminskim dodacima, a sadrže i "legalne podizače" poput guarane. Taurin, aminokiselina koju pronalazimo u mesu i ribi te L-carnitin, supstanca koja omogućuje našemu tijelu da pretvara mast u energiju, također su prisutne.
"Zabrinutost nastaje zbog toga što su navedeni vitamini, aminokiseline i "trave" u jednoj limenci energetskog pića prisutni u znatno većoj koncentraciji od one koju nalazimo u prirodi, a izmiješane s kofeinom, mogu postati vrlo štetne", upozorava dijetetičarka Katherine Zeratsky.
"Ljudi moraju biti svjesni da se ne zna mnogo o utjecajima energetskih pića na ljudski organizam, a ne zna se točno ni ostavljaju li negativne posljedice na zdravlje, no ako je suditi isključivo prema posljednjim istraživanjima, moglo bi biti upravo tako".
Oni u dobnoj skupini ispod 18, trudnice i oni koji su alergični na kofein pritom su u najvećoj opasnosti. Isto tako, oni koji konzumiraju lijekove za koncentraciju te oni koji nisu navikli na kofein u dnevnoj dozi, trebali bi pripaziti.
