Hormon koji stvara fetus mogao bi biti uzrok mučnina i povraćanja od kojih pati velik broj žena za vrijeme trudnoće, što je veliko otkriće koje bi moglo utrti put razvoju učinkovitih metoda liječenja.

Do sedam trudnoća od deset prate mučnine i povraćanja. Kod nekih žena - između jedne i tri trudnoće na 100 - ti simptomi mogu biti ozbiljni. To se naziva  trudnička hipermerza i najčešći je razlog hospitalizacije žena u prva tri mjeseca trudnoće.

Kate Middleton, supruga princa Williama, na primjer patila je od toga u sve tri trudnoće.

Po rezultatima istraživanja, objavljenima nedavno u časopisu Nature, u kojem su surađivali znanstvenici s Cambridgea, iz Škotske, SAD-a i Šri Lanke, mučnine i povraćanja - ozbiljna ili ne - posljedica su hormona koji stvara fetus - proteina koji se zove GDF15.

Znanstvenici su dokazali da je ozbiljnost tog problema povezana s količinom GDF15 koji stvara fetusni dio placente i koji završi u krvotoku, te s osjetljivosti na taj hormon.

Otkrili su da neke žene imaju genski veći rizik, što je povezano sa slabijom razinom hormona u krvi i tkivima izvan ploda.

Isto tako, žene koje imaju nasljednu bolest krvi, beta talasemiju, zbog čega imaju prirodno jako visoke razine GDF15 prije trudnoće, imaju malo ili nimalo mučnina.

"Dijete koje raste u maternici stvara hormon u količini na koju majka nije navikla. Što je osjetljivija na taj hormon, to će biti bolesnija", rekao je profesor Stephen O‘Rahilly, direktor Instituta za metaboličke znanosti Wellcome-Medical Research Council na Cambridgeu, jedan od autora istraživanja.

Znanstvenici se nadaju da će im to otkriće pomoći da razviju učinkovite metode liječenja tog problema.

Hormon koji stvara fetus mogao bi biti uzrok mučnina i povraćanja od kojih pati velik broj žena za vrijeme trudnoće, što je veliko otkriće koje bi moglo utrti put razvoju učinkovitih metoda liječenja.

Do sedam trudnoća od deset prate mučnine i povraćanja. Kod nekih žena - između jedne i tri trudnoće na 100 - ti simptomi mogu biti ozbiljni. To se naziva  trudnička hipermerza i najčešći je razlog hospitalizacije žena u prva tri mjeseca trudnoće.

Kate Middleton, supruga princa Williama, na primjer patila je od toga u sve tri trudnoće.

Po rezultatima istraživanja, objavljenima nedavno u časopisu Nature, u kojem su surađivali znanstvenici s Cambridgea, iz Škotske, SAD-a i Šri Lanke, mučnine i povraćanja - ozbiljna ili ne - posljedica su hormona koji stvara fetus - proteina koji se zove GDF15.

Znanstvenici su dokazali da je ozbiljnost tog problema povezana s količinom GDF15 koji stvara fetusni dio placente i koji završi u krvotoku, te s osjetljivosti na taj hormon.

Otkrili su da neke žene imaju genski veći rizik, što je povezano sa slabijom razinom hormona u krvi i tkivima izvan ploda.

"Dijete koje raste u maternici stvara hormon u količini na koju majka nije navikla. Što je osjetljivija na taj hormon, to će biti bolesnija", rekao je profesor Stephen O‘Rahilly, direktor Instituta za metaboličke znanosti Wellcome-Medical Research Council na Cambridgeu, jedan od autora istraživanja.

Znanstvenici se nadaju da će im to otkriće pomoći da razviju učinkovite metode liječenja tog problema.

Hormon koji stvara fetus mogao bi objasniti mučnine u trudnoći, sada treba otkriti i učinkovite metode liječenja

Hormon koji stvara fetus mogao bi biti uzrok mučnina i povraćanja od kojih pati velik broj žena za vrijeme trudnoće, što je veliko otkriće koje bi moglo utrti put razvoju učinkovitih metoda liječenja.

Do sedam trudnoća od deset prate mučnine i povraćanja. Kod nekih žena - između jedne i tri trudnoće na 100 - ti simptomi mogu biti ozbiljni. To se naziva  trudnička hipermerza i najčešći je razlog hospitalizacije žena u prva tri mjeseca trudnoće.

Kate Middleton, supruga princa Williama, na primjer patila je od toga u sve tri trudnoće.

Po rezultatima istraživanja, objavljenima nedavno u časopisu Nature, u kojem su surađivali znanstvenici s Cambridgea, iz Škotske, SAD-a i Šri Lanke, mučnine i povraćanja - ozbiljna ili ne - posljedica su hormona koji stvara fetus - proteina koji se zove GDF15.

Znanstvenici su dokazali da je ozbiljnost tog problema povezana s količinom GDF15 koji stvara fetusni dio placente i koji završi u krvotoku, te s osjetljivosti na taj hormon.

Otkrili su da neke žene imaju genski veći rizik, što je povezano sa slabijom razinom hormona u krvi i tkivima izvan ploda.
