Uzimate li dodatke prehrani kako biste poljepšali izgled kože, kose i noktiju te popravili probavu i podigli imunitet, možda uopće niste na pravom tragu. Probiotici, kolagenski prašci i napitci te tabletice s multivitaminima i mineralima ne mogu se mjeriti, tvrde neki nutricionisti, s benefitima koje nam pruža pravilna prehrana. "Postoje neke dobre marke kolagena u prahu, ali iz svog kliničkog iskustva mogu potvrditi da moji klijenti postižu bolje rezultate u poboljšanju stanja kose, kože, noktiju i zglobova kada koriste izvor kolagena iz prehrane. Što se tiče probiotika, naglasila je kako postoje vrlo specifični slučajevi u kojima svojim klijentima preporučuje dodatke prehrani koji sadrže nizove probiotika, ali, dodala je, osobama koje samo pokušavaju dobiti dnevnu dozu probiotika puno su bolji izvor fermentirane namirnice poput kiselog kupusa.
"Za prosječnu osobu to je puno bolja opcija i često sadrži više sojeva probiotika, kao i prebiotika, a osim toga je i daleko ekonomičnija. Ne morate je jesti puno - s kiselim kupusom možete početi sa samo jednom žličicom dnevno", savjetuje Claire.

Onima koji prehranu žele obogatiti vlaknima kako bi regulirali probavu, pak, stručnjakinja preporučuje da jedu maline jer su idealan zdravi međuobrok bogat vlaknima, dok onima koji muku muče sa spavanjem preporučuje prirodne biljne čajeva od sastojaka koji dokazano podižu kvalitetu sna.
