BOJA I TKANINE

"Ako su preteške, možda se neće oštro presavijati pri izvlačenju; a ako su previše lagane možda neće dobro padati", kaže dizajnerica Suysel DePedro Cunningham iz Tiltona Fenwicka.

BOJA I TKANINE

Tkanina je bitan dio odabira zavjesa, jer materijal određuje koliko dobro vaše zavjese funkcioniraju i drže se s vremenom.

"Ako su preteške, možda se neće oštro presavijati pri izvlačenju; a ako su previše lagane možda neće dobro padati", kaže dizajnerica Suysel DePedro Cunningham iz Tiltona Fenwicka.

Radite s velikim uzorkom, najmanje 2 metra, jer manji komad ne pokazuje tkaninu zavjese u pravom svjetlu. Također, ne zaboravite da će ih sunčeva svjetlost s vremenom izblijedjeti. Ako dotična soba dobiva puno svjetla, pametno je izbjegavati svijetle boje jer one brže blijede.

"Ipak, ako volite često mijenjati svoje sobe, možete biti manje zabrinuti zbog gubitka boje", kaže Alice Guercio, potpredsjednica razvoja proizvoda u Kravetu. Cunningham predlaže da se ide s neutralnim bojama, jer je manja vjerojatnost da će izblijedjeti i vjerojatnije će se bolje uklopiti u dekor sobe.

DUŽINA I OBLOGA

Prije nego što počnete mjeriti zavjese, odlučite koliko visoko iznad prozora želite da stoje. "Zavjese postavljene visoko iznad prozora dat će prostoriji osjećaj visine", kaže Cunningham. Dizajneri često vješaju zavjese oko šest centimetara iznad okvira prozora, ali za dramatičan izgled neki idu i više.

Izmjerite od vrha prozora (plus dodani centimetar visine s kojega će zavjese visjeti) do poda. Za tradicionalniji izgled, sa zavjesom malo nabranom na podu, svojoj ćete dužini dodati još dva ili tri centimetra. Za moderan, oštar izgled neka vam zavjesa padne u ravninu s podom.

Prilikom mjerenja širine vašeg prozora, svakako dodajte 10 do 20 centimetara s obje strane i udvostručite ukupni širinu kako biste osigurali punoću zastora. Ako namjeravate koristiti zavjese kako biste zaklonili sunce, ti dodatni centimetri po obodu vašeg prozorskog okvira također će vam pomoći blokirati bilo kakav prolaz svjetla.

Posebno šivane i prilagođene zavjese nude mnoge prednosti: Dimenzije možete prilagoditi veličini prozora i stvoriti prilagođeni izgled, poput savršeno šivanog odijela.
