1. Prije početka čišćenja sifona podmetnite ispod njega neku posudu da se u nju ulije voda iz sifona i cijevi prilikom demontaže. Odvrnite maticu koja spaja sifon i izljev te odvrnite maticu koja spaja sifon i odvodnu cijev u zid. 4. Nakon što ste probili čep u odvodnoj cijevi u zidu i nakon što ste počistili sifon i odvodne cijevi od nečistoća i naslaga, vrijeme je za ponovnu montažu. Započnite tako da najprije ugurate odvodnu cijev sudopera u odvodnu cijev u zidu. Nakon toga namjestite sifon u početni položaj te pripazite da su brtve (gumice) pravilno postavljene (vidi 2. korak). Zavrnite obje matice, što jače, koliko god možete rukom.

1. Prije početka čišćenja sifona podmetnite ispod njega neku posudu da se u nju ulije voda iz sifona i cijevi prilikom demontaže. Odvrnite maticu koja spaja sifon i izljev te odvrnite maticu koja spaja sifon i odvodnu cijev u zid. Pripazite i zapamtite položaj brtvi (gumica), koje mogu biti konusne ili ravne, za kasniju montažu.

2. Odvojite sifon i izlijte sadržaj sifona u WC školjku. Obilno isperite unutrašnjost sifona na nekom drugom mjestu, npr. lavabou. Izvucite odvod iz zida te ga također temeljito isperite.

3. Ugurajte sajlu za odčepljivanje i okrećući je polako gurajte u odvod u zidu (može vam pomoći netko od ukućana tako da okreće sajlu). Ako naiđete na otpor, vjerojatno ste naišli na čep te strpljivim okretanjem i guranjem sajle probijte čep i oslobodite odvod za prolazak vode.

4. Nakon što ste probili čep u odvodnoj cijevi u zidu i nakon što ste počistili sifon i odvodne cijevi od nečistoća i naslaga, vrijeme je za ponovnu montažu. Započnite tako da najprije ugurate odvodnu cijev sudopera u odvodnu cijev u zidu. Nakon toga namjestite sifon u početni položaj te pripazite da su brtve (gumice) pravilno postavljene (vidi 2. korak). Zavrnite obje matice, što jače, koliko god možete rukom.

5. Postavite posudu, suhu krpu ili papirnati ručnik ispod sifona kako biste vidjeli curi li negdje odvod. Pustite vodu na slavini i ako uočite da negdje curi voda, dodatno zategnite rukom matice, a ako nigdje ne curi - vaš sifon i odvodne cijevi su uspješno očišćeni.
