SpaceX u ponedjeljak odbrojava do prvog testnog leta Starshipa, do sada najsnažnije rakete, dizajnirane za slanje astronauta na Mjesec i Mars i još dalje.
Divovska raketa trebala bi poletjeti iz Starbasea, svemirske luke SpaceX-a u Boca Chici u Teksasu u 15 sati po srednjoeuropskom vremenu.
Rezervna vremena lansiranja zakazana su kasnije tijekom tjedna ako lansiranje u ponedjeljak bude odgođeno a to je nešto što je milijarder, osnivač SpaceX-a, Elon Musk naveo kao jasnu mogućnost.
"To je vrlo rizičan let", rekao je Musk u nedjelju na Twitteru.
“Ovo je prvo lansiranje vrlo komplicirane, divovske rakete. Postoji milijun načina na koje ova raketa može zakazati", dodao je.
"Bit ćemo vrlo oprezni i ako vidimo nešto što nas zabrinjava, odgodit ćemo."
Musk je rekao da želi "smanjiti očekivanja" jer "sutrašnji dan vjerojatno neće biti uspješan, ako pod uspješnim podrazumijevamo postizanje orbite."
Američka svemirska agencija NASA odabrala je svemirsku letjelicu Starship za prijevoz astronauta na Mjesec krajem 2025. godine. Misija poznata kao Artemis III je prva od završetka programa Apollo 1972. godine.
Starship se sastoji od 50-metarske svemirske letjelice dizajnirane za prijevoz posade i tereta koja se nalazi na 70 metara visokoj raketi - nosaču Super Heavy.
Zajedno nazvane Starship, svemirska letjelica i raketa Super Heavy nikad nisu lansirane zajedno, iako je bilo nekoliko suborbitalnih testnih letova same letjelice.
Ako sve bude išlo po planu, Super Heavy će se odvojiti od Starshipa oko tri minute nakon lansiranja i pasti u Meksički zaljev.
Starship, koji ima šest vlastitih motora, nastavit će do visine od gotovo 240 kilometara te gotovo završiti krug oko Zemlje prije nego što padne u Tihi ocean oko 90 minuta nakon lansiranja.
"Ako stigne u orbitu, to će biti ogromni uspjeh", rekao je Musk.
"Ako se dovoljno udaljimo od lansirne rampe prije nego što nešto pođe po zlu, mislim da bih to smatrao uspjehom", rekao je.
"Samo nek se ne digne u zrak lansirna rampa", dodao je.
"Ova je misija radi informacija", rekao je. "Informacije koje nam omogućuju da poboljšamo dizajn budućih Starshipa."
SpaceX je u veljači proveo uspješno testiranje motora 33 Raptor rakete.
Super Heavy raketa bila je usidrena za tlo tijekom probnog ispaljivanja, što se naziva statično paljenje, kako bi se spriječilo njezino uzlijetanje.
NASA će prevesti astronaute u Mjesečevu orbitu u studenom 2024. pomoću vlastite rakete Space Launch System (SLS), koja se razvija više od desetljeća.
Starship je i veći i moćniji od SLS-a.
Generira potisak više nego dvostruko veći od raketa Saturn V korištenih za slanje astronauta na Mjesec u okviru misije Apollo.
SpaceX planira u konačnici postavljanje Starshipa u orbitu, a zatim će ga dopuniti gorivom s drugog Starshipa kako bi mogao nastaviti put do Marsa ili dalje.
Musk je rekao da je cilj učiniti Starship višekratnom letjelicom i tako sniziti cijenu na nekoliko milijuna dolara po letu.
"Dugoročno, što znači... ne znam...dvije ili tri godine, trebali bismo postići potpunu i brzu ponovnu upotrebu", rekao je.
Konačni cilj je uspostaviti baze na Mjesecu i Marsu i postaviti ljude na "put da postanu civilizacija s više planeta", rekao je Musk.
"Nalazimo se u trenutku u civilizaciji u kojemu je moguće postati multiplanetarna vrsta", rekao je.
"To je naš cilj. Mislim da imamo izgleda."

SpaceX u ponedjeljak odbrojava do prvog testnog leta Starshipa, do sada najsnažnije rakete, dizajnirane za slanje astronauta na Mjesec i Mars i još dalje.
Divovska raketa trebala bi poletjeti iz Starbasea, svemirske luke SpaceX-a u Boca Chici u Teksasu u 15 sati po srednjoeuropskom vremenu.
Rezervna vremena lansiranja zakazana su kasnije tijekom tjedna ako lansiranje u ponedjeljak bude odgođeno a to je nešto što je milijarder, osnivač SpaceX-a, Elon Musk naveo kao jasnu mogućnost.
"To je vrlo rizičan let", rekao je Musk u nedjelju na Twitteru.
“Ovo je prvo lansiranje vrlo komplicirane, divovske rakete. Postoji milijun načina na koje ova raketa može zakazati", dodao je.
"Bit ćemo vrlo oprezni i ako vidimo nešto što nas zabrinjava, odgodit ćemo."
Musk je rekao da želi "smanjiti očekivanja" jer "sutrašnji dan vjerojatno neće biti uspješan, ako pod uspješnim podrazumijevamo postizanje orbite."
Američka svemirska agencija NASA odabrala je svemirsku letjelicu Starship za prijevoz astronauta na Mjesec krajem 2025. godine. Misija poznata kao Artemis III je prva od završetka programa Apollo 1972. godine.
Starship se sastoji od 50-metarske svemirske letjelice dizajnirane za prijevoz posade i tereta koja se nalazi na 70 metara visokoj raketi - nosaču Super Heavy.
Zajedno nazvane Starship, svemirska letjelica i raketa Super Heavy nikad nisu lansirane zajedno, iako je bilo nekoliko suborbitalnih testnih letova same letjelice.
Ako sve bude išlo po planu, Super Heavy će se odvojiti od Starshipa oko tri minute nakon lansiranja i pasti u Meksički zaljev.
Starship, koji ima šest vlastitih motora, nastavit će do visine od gotovo 240 kilometara te gotovo završiti krug oko Zemlje prije nego što padne u Tihi ocean oko 90 minuta nakon lansiranja.
"Ako stigne u orbitu, to će biti ogromni uspjeh", rekao je Musk.
"Ako se dovoljno udaljimo od lansirne rampe prije nego što nešto pođe po zlu, mislim da bih to smatrao uspjehom", rekao je.
"Samo nek se ne digne u zrak lansirna rampa", dodao je.
"Ova je misija radi informacija", rekao je. "Informacije koje nam omogućuju da poboljšamo dizajn budućih Starshipa."
SpaceX je u veljači proveo uspješno testiranje motora 33 Raptor rakete.
Super Heavy raketa bila je usidrena za tlo tijekom probnog ispaljivanja, što se naziva statično paljenje, kako bi se spriječilo njezino uzlijetanje.
NASA će prevesti astronaute u Mjesečevu orbitu u studenom 2024. pomoću vlastite rakete Space Launch System (SLS), koja se razvija više od desetljeća.
Starship je i veći i moćniji od SLS-a.
Generira potisak više nego dvostruko veći od raketa Saturn V korištenih za slanje astronauta na Mjesec u okviru misije Apollo.
SpaceX planira u konačnici postavljanje Starshipa u orbitu, a zatim će ga dopuniti gorivom s drugog Starshipa kako bi mogao nastaviti put do Marsa ili dalje.
Musk je rekao da je cilj učiniti Starship višekratnom letjelicom i tako sniziti cijenu na nekoliko milijuna dolara po letu.
"Dugoročno, što znači... ne znam...dvije ili tri godine, trebali bismo postići potpunu i brzu ponovnu upotrebu", rekao je.
Konačni cilj je uspostaviti baze na Mjesecu i Marsu i postaviti ljude na "put da postanu civilizacija s više planeta", rekao je Musk.
"Nalazimo se u trenutku u civilizaciji u kojemu je moguće postati multiplanetarna vrsta", rekao je.
"To je naš cilj. Mislim da imamo izgleda."
