Nekako se svekolika javnost, ne nužno ona kulturna, iz dana u dan sad već pomalo i privikava čitajući vijesti u kojima se obznanjuje smrt nekog od vrlih značajeva među nama. Tako je u svijetu ozbiljne glazbe na ovim prostorima zabrecala vijest o preminuću maestra Miroslava Homena, dirigenta pripadajućeg komplimentu "stare garde", koji je preminuo u nedjelju u 81. godini života.
Maestro Homen rođen je u Dubrovniku 2. kolovoza 1940., ali je odrastanjem i dijelom školovanja bio vezan uz grad Kotor, gdje je maturirao i na klasičnoj gimnaziji i na srednjoj muzičkoj školi, te gdje je, najposlije, i izdahnuo. U Sarajevu će na Muzičkoj akademiji studirati kompoziciju kod Miroslava Špilera, a dirigiranje kod Mladena Pozaića.
Potonji će pedagog izvršiti bitan utjecaj na pristup i predanje prema glazbi samoga Homena, što će mi maestro posvjedočiti u razgovoru upravo za Slobodnu Dalmaciju. Taj smo razgovor vodili prije ravno 20 godina, u HNK "Ivan pl. Zajc" u Rijeci, kad je Miroslav Homen dirigirao premijernom izvedbom Verdijeve opere "Don Carlos", u godini kad se obilježavala stota obljetnica skladateljeve smrti (2001.).
Uz hrvatsku praizvedbu opere "Attila" na splitskom Peristilu, bila je to najimpozantnija od svih produkcija Verdijevih opera u Hrvatskoj te godine, u kojoj su sudjelovale i solističke vedete iz Splitske opere: tenor Ante Ivić i bas Ivica Čikeš. Mjesec dana ranije, istim povodom, maestro Homen ravnao je i majestetičnom izvedbom opere "Moć sudbine" u HNK Zagreb.
Odmah nakon stjecanja diplome, još 1966. godine, zahvaljujući profesoru Pozaiću, Homen će dobiti stalni angažman u opernom ansamblu Narodnog pozorišta u Sarajevu. Proći će sve instance stvaralačkog procesa u glazbeno-scenskom projektu pa će biti i korepetitor, i zborovođa, i asistent dirigenta, ali i šef-dirigent. Niz opernih produkcija i simfonijskih djela postavit će na repertoar kazališta uz Miljacku, ali će zbog ratnih strahota morati s obitelji izbjeći iz Sarajeva te će se nastaniti u gradu na Rječini. U HNK "Ivan pl. Zajc" ostat će do mirovine.
Kao čovjek bogatog iskustva, ali i kao smjerni pedagog, Miroslav Homen svojim će učenicima i nasljednicima rado prepuštati i dirigentski štapić i podij, znajući koliko je za mladog umjetnika važan praktični rad s orkestrom, jerbo, dirigent drugog instrumenta nema…
I kod nas u Splitu maestro Homen bio je rado viđen gost. Višekratno je nastupao kao koncertni dirigent, izvevši 1992. godine Mozartov "Requiem" u d-molu. No, najznačajnija produkcija bit će mu praizvedba opernog mjuzikla "Krvava svadba" splitskog skladatelja Mirka Krstičevića, koja će na sceni HNK Split bit uprizorena 20. siječnja 1997. Dvije godine prije toga na istoj će pozornici ravnati i premijerom Puccinijeve opere "La Bohème" (1995.), zajedno s nestorom operne teatrologije u nas, tada redateljem produkcije Nenadom Turkaljem.
Posljednji put sreo sam maestra Homena u Sarajevu, na jesen 2006. godine, kad je u Narodnom pozorištu dirigirao jednom od izvedaba taman praizvedene prve nacionalne bosanske opere "Hasanaginica", u društvu s njezinim skladateljem Asimom Horozićem i solistom Ivicom Šarićem, u to doba i aktualnim ministrom kulture sarajevskoga kantona. I tada je maestro rado govorio o Splitu, prisjećajući se divnih trenutaka što ih je proživio u njemu, kao i dragih prijatelja s kojima je ostao vezan sve do smrti.

Nekako se svekolika javnost, ne nužno ona kulturna, iz dana u dan sad već pomalo i privikava čitajući vijesti u kojima se obznanjuje smrt nekog od vrlih značajeva među nama. Tako je u svijetu ozbiljne glazbe na ovim prostorima zabrecala vijest o preminuću maestra Miroslava Homena, dirigenta pripadajućeg komplimentu "stare garde", koji je preminuo u nedjelju u 81. godini života.
Maestro Homen rođen je u Dubrovniku 2. kolovoza 1940., ali je odrastanjem i dijelom školovanja bio vezan uz grad Kotor, gdje je maturirao i na klasičnoj gimnaziji i na srednjoj muzičkoj školi, te gdje je, najposlije, i izdahnuo. U Sarajevu će na Muzičkoj akademiji studirati kompoziciju kod Miroslava Špilera, a dirigiranje kod Mladena Pozaića.
Potonji će pedagog izvršiti bitan utjecaj na pristup i predanje prema glazbi samoga Homena, što će mi maestro posvjedočiti u razgovoru upravo za Slobodnu Dalmaciju. Taj smo razgovor vodili prije ravno 20 godina, u HNK "Ivan pl. Zajc" u Rijeci, kad je Miroslav Homen dirigirao premijernom izvedbom Verdijeve opere "Don Carlos", u godini kad se obilježavala stota obljetnica skladateljeve smrti (2001.).
Uz hrvatsku praizvedbu opere "Attila" na splitskom Peristilu, bila je to najimpozantnija od svih produkcija Verdijevih opera u Hrvatskoj te godine, u kojoj su sudjelovale i solističke vedete iz Splitske opere: tenor Ante Ivić i bas Ivica Čikeš. Mjesec dana ranije, istim povodom, maestro Homen ravnao je i majestetičnom izvedbom opere "Moć sudbine" u HNK Zagreb.
Odmah nakon stjecanja diplome, još 1966. godine, zahvaljujući profesoru Pozaiću, Homen će dobiti stalni angažman u opernom ansamblu Narodnog pozorišta u Sarajevu. Proći će sve instance stvaralačkog procesa u glazbeno-scenskom projektu pa će biti i korepetitor, i zborovođa, i asistent dirigenta, ali i šef-dirigent. Niz opernih produkcija i simfonijskih djela postavit će na repertoar kazališta uz Miljacku, ali će zbog ratnih strahota morati s obitelji izbjeći iz Sarajeva te će se nastaniti u gradu na Rječini. U HNK "Ivan pl. Zajc" ostat će do mirovine.
Kao čovjek bogatog iskustva, ali i kao smjerni pedagog, Miroslav Homen svojim će učenicima i nasljednicima rado prepuštati i dirigentski štapić i podij, znajući koliko je za mladog umjetnika važan praktični rad s orkestrom, jerbo, dirigent drugog instrumenta nema…
I kod nas u Splitu maestro Homen bio je rado viđen gost. Višekratno je nastupao kao koncertni dirigent, izvevši 1992. godine Mozartov "Requiem" u d-molu. No, najznačajnija produkcija bit će mu praizvedba opernog mjuzikla "Krvava svadba" splitskog skladatelja Mirka Krstičevića, koja će na sceni HNK Split bit uprizorena 20. siječnja 1997. Dvije godine prije toga na istoj će pozornici ravnati i premijerom Puccinijeve opere "La Bohème" (1995.), zajedno s nestorom operne teatrologije u nas, tada redateljem produkcije Nenadom Turkaljem.
Posljednji put sreo sam maestra Homena u Sarajevu, na jesen 2006. godine, kad je u Narodnom pozorištu dirigirao jednom od izvedaba taman praizvedene prve nacionalne bosanske opere "Hasanaginica", u društvu s njezinim skladateljem Asimom Horozićem i solistom Ivicom Šarićem, u to doba i aktualnim ministrom kulture sarajevskoga kantona. I tada je maestro rado govorio o Splitu, prisjećajući se divnih trenutaka što ih je proživio u njemu, kao i dragih prijatelja s kojima je ostao vezan sve do smrti.
