Titularni protagonist filmova "Willy Wonka i tvornica čokolade" Mela Stewarta i Tima Burtona iz 1971. i 2005. godine nije realno trebao dobiti svoju "origin" priču. Nismo nužno trebali doznati kako je Willy postao Wonka. Da je bilo potrebe za nečim takvim, pisac klasika za djecu "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" iz 1964. Roald Dahl napisao bi prednastavak o počecima popularnog čokolatijera.

Baš zato, neki će podozrivo gledati na "Wonku", filmski prednastavak "Charlieja i tvornice čokolade", posebice što u glavnoj ulozi, kao mlađa verzija likova u tumačenju Genea Wildera i Johnnyja Deppa, nastupa Timothee Chalamet ("Skrivena ljubav"), kojeg je Hollywood počeo "gurati" u svaki drugi veliki film, od "Dine" nadalje.

No, kad je već snimljen, "Wonka" je ispao sasvim okej filmić i na trenutke umije djelovati kao šalica tople čokolade i zagrijati gledatelja na hladnu zimsku večer, odnosno zaslužiti titulu najveće (po)slastice za sve dobne uzraste ovogodišnje predblagdanske kinosezone.

Berlinski multipleks "CinemaxX" na Potsdamer Platzu, gdje je potpisnik ovih redaka pogledao "Wonku", bio je pretežno ispunjen novim generacijama klinaca i tinejdžerima, ali bilo je i starijih gledatelja upoznatih s Wilderovom i/li Deppovom interpretacijom lika čokolatijera u prethodnim dvama "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" filmovima.

Pozitivno je što Chalamet ne pokušava "skinuti" Wildera i Deppa, niti redatelj Paul King (neodoljive "family friendly" fantazije "Medvjedić Padington 1&2") oponaša Stewarta i Burtona. Štoviše, psihodeličnost i ekscentričnost prethodnika sada je zamijenila sentimentalnost i iskrenost, lišena modernog cinizma.

"Wonka" ima britansku vibru i čak je duhovno bliži "Paddingtonu" nego "Charlieju i tvornici čokolade" po pitanju redateljske imaginacije, vizualnih gegova, raskošne fotografije, scenografije i kostimografije itd., samo što nije baš toliko dobar, a mogao je proći i bez nekih bizarnosti (mužnja žirafe).

Operirajući iznad blagdansko-konfekcijskog prosjeka, King je ponovno angažirao glumce iz filmova o dražesnom medvjediću, Hugha Granta ("mali narančasti čovjek" Oompa-Loompa) i Sally Hawkins (pokojna majka glavnog lika), a možda ga je i zatvorska scena iz "Paddingtona 2" inspirirala za pjesmu iz praonice "Scrub, Scrub", ali i da pretvori "Wonku" u potpuni mjuzikl.

Nije samo da Chalamet pjeva "Pure Imagination" kao Wilder i da čujemo "Oompa Loompa, doompety doo", nego i još nekoliko pjesama, od kojih je ponajbolja "A World Of Your Own". Drugi glazbeni broj sa stihovima "Ovakvu čokoladu niste probali" potencira lepršavi fantazijski, filmsko-magijski štih "Wonke", kad se ispostavi da čokolaterijer mašta kako svi oko njega pjevaju i plešu.

"No daydreaming", upozorava znak, naglašavajući da je sanjarenje kažnjivo. Međutim, dobronamjerni film poziva gledatelje upravo na to jer "svaka dobra stvar na ovom svijetu počela je od sna", kako je Wonkina majka rekla sinu. "Drži se svoga sna", savjetovala mu je ona.

Dakako, Wonkin je san otvoriti čokoladnicu u centru grada, ali u tome ga pokušavaju spriječiti Slugworth, Prodnose i Fickelgruber (Paterson Joseph, Matt Lucas, Mathew Baynton) koji drže lokalni "čokoladni kartel" i podmićuju šefa policije (Keegan Michael-Key), u čemu im pomaže i korumpirani svećenik Julius (Rowan Atkinson) s petsto "čokoholičnih redovnika".

Komplikacije nastupaju i kad Wonka ostane dužan žutozuboj gospođi Scrubbit (oskarovka Olivia Colman) i bude zarobljen u njezinoj praonici zajedno s mladom Noodle (Calah Lane) i ostalim dužnicima (Jim Carter, Rakhee Thakrar, Natasha Rothwell, Rich Fulcher) sve dok ne otplati dug, a tu je i Oompa-Loompa, odlučan vratiti ono što mu je čokolatijer ukrao.

Pa ipak, ne treba sumnjati da će sve na kraju biti u redu. Ovo je "feel good movie" koji kod gledatelja nastoji izazvati osjećaj kušanja čokolade i s(t)imulirati proizvodnju endorfina, hormona sreće, potaknuti na pjesmu i ples. "Ne mogu sada stati, počeo sam plesati", kaže Oompa-Loompa i prenosi nastojanja filma. Oompa Loompa, doompety doo...

Titularni protagonist filmova "Willy Wonka i tvornica čokolade" Mela Stewarta i Tima Burtona iz 1971. i 2005. godine nije realno trebao dobiti svoju "origin" priču. Nismo nužno trebali doznati kako je Willy postao Wonka. Da je bilo potrebe za nečim takvim, pisac klasika za djecu "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" iz 1964. Roald Dahl napisao bi prednastavak o počecima popularnog čokolatijera.

Baš zato, neki će podozrivo gledati na "Wonku", filmski prednastavak "Charlieja i tvornice čokolade", posebice što u glavnoj ulozi, kao mlađa verzija likova u tumačenju Genea Wildera i Johnnyja Deppa, nastupa Timothee Chalamet ("Skrivena ljubav"), kojeg je Hollywood počeo "gurati" u svaki drugi veliki film, od "Dine" nadalje.

No, kad je već snimljen, "Wonka" je ispao sasvim okej filmić i na trenutke umije djelovati kao šalica tople čokolade i zagrijati gledatelja na hladnu zimsku večer, odnosno zaslužiti titulu najveće (po)slastice za sve dobne uzraste ovogodišnje predblagdanske kinosezone.

Berlinski multipleks "CinemaxX" na Potsdamer Platzu, gdje je potpisnik ovih redaka pogledao "Wonku", bio je pretežno ispunjen novim generacijama klinaca i tinejdžerima, ali bilo je i starijih gledatelja upoznatih s Wilderovom i/li Deppovom interpretacijom lika čokolatijera u prethodnim dvama "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" filmovima.

Pozitivno je što Chalamet ne pokušava "skinuti" Wildera i Deppa, niti redatelj Paul King (neodoljive "family friendly" fantazije "Medvjedić Padington 1&2") oponaša Stewarta i Burtona. Štoviše, psihodeličnost i ekscentričnost prethodnika sada je zamijenila sentimentalnost i iskrenost, lišena modernog cinizma.

"Wonka" ima britansku vibru i čak je duhovno bliži "Paddingtonu" nego "Charlieju i tvornici čokolade" po pitanju redateljske imaginacije, vizualnih gegova, raskošne fotografije, scenografije i kostimografije itd., samo što nije baš toliko dobar, a mogao je proći i bez nekih bizarnosti (mužnja žirafe).

Operirajući iznad blagdansko-konfekcijskog prosjeka, King je ponovno angažirao glumce iz filmova o dražesnom medvjediću, Hugha Granta ("mali narančasti čovjek" Oompa-Loompa) i Sally Hawkins (pokojna majka glavnog lika), a možda ga je i zatvorska scena iz "Paddingtona 2" inspirirala za pjesmu iz praonice "Scrub, Scrub", ali i da pretvori "Wonku" u potpuni mjuzikl.

Nije samo da Chalamet pjeva "Pure Imagination" kao Wilder i da čujemo "Oompa Loompa, doompety doo", nego i još nekoliko pjesama, od kojih je ponajbolja "A World Of Your Own". Drugi glazbeni broj sa stihovima "Ovakvu čokoladu niste probali" potencira lepršavi fantazijski, filmsko-magijski štih "Wonke", kad se ispostavi da čokolaterijer mašta kako svi oko njega pjevaju i plešu.

"No daydreaming", upozorava znak, naglašavajući da je sanjarenje kažnjivo. Međutim, dobronamjerni film poziva gledatelje upravo na to jer "svaka dobra stvar na ovom svijetu počela je od sna", kako je Wonkina majka rekla sinu. "Drži se svoga sna", savjetovala mu je ona.

Dakako, Wonkin je san otvoriti čokoladnicu u centru grada, ali u tome ga pokušavaju spriječiti Slugworth, Prodnose i Fickelgruber (Paterson Joseph, Matt Lucas, Mathew Baynton) koji drže lokalni "čokoladni kartel" i podmićuju šefa policije (Keegan Michael-Key), u čemu im pomaže i korumpirani svećenik Julius (Rowan Atkinson) s petsto "čokoholičnih redovnika".

Komplikacije nastupaju i kad Wonka ostane dužan žutozuboj gospođi Scrubbit (oskarovka Olivia Colman) i bude zarobljen u njezinoj praonici zajedno s mladom Noodle (Calah Lane) i ostalim dužnicima (Jim Carter, Rakhee Thakrar, Natasha Rothwell, Rich Fulcher) sve dok ne otplati dug, a tu je i Oompa-Loompa, odlučan vratiti ono što mu je čokolatijer ukrao.

Pa ipak, ne treba sumnjati da će sve na kraju biti u redu. Ovo je "feel good movie" koji kod gledatelja nastoji izazvati osjećaj kušanja čokolade i s(t)imulirati proizvodnju endorfina, hormona sreće, potaknuti na pjesmu i ples. "Ne mogu sada stati, počeo sam plesati", kaže Oompa-Loompa i prenosi nastojanja filma. Oompa Loompa, doompety doo...

‘Wonka‘: Chalamet i tvornica čokolade

Titularni protagonist filmova "Willy Wonka i tvornica čokolade" Mela Stewarta i Tima Burtona iz 1971. i 2005. godine nije realno trebao dobiti svoju "origin" priču. Nismo nužno trebali doznati kako je Willy postao Wonka. Da je bilo potrebe za nečim takvim, pisac klasika za djecu "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" iz 1964. Roald Dahl napisao bi prednastavak o počecima popularnog čokolatijera.

Baš zato, neki će podozrivo gledati na "Wonku", filmski prednastavak "Charlieja i tvornice čokolade", posebice što u glavnoj ulozi, kao mlađa verzija likova u tumačenju Genea Wildera i Johnnyja Deppa, nastupa Timothee Chalamet ("Skrivena ljubav"), kojeg je Hollywood počeo "gurati" u svaki drugi veliki film, od "Dine" nadalje.

No, kad je već snimljen, "Wonka" je ispao sasvim okej filmić i na trenutke umije djelovati kao šalica tople čokolade i zagrijati gledatelja na hladnu zimsku večer, odnosno zaslužiti titulu najveće (po)slastice za sve dobne uzraste ovogodišnje predblagdanske kinosezone.

Berlinski multipleks "CinemaxX" na Potsdamer Platzu, gdje je potpisnik ovih redaka pogledao "Wonku", bio je pretežno ispunjen novim generacijama klinaca i tinejdžerima, ali bilo je i starijih gledatelja upoznatih s Wilderovom i/li Deppovom interpretacijom lika čokolatijera u prethodnim dvama "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" filmovima.

Pozitivno je što Chalamet ne pokušava "skinuti" Wildera i Deppa, niti redatelj Paul King (neodoljive "family friendly" fantazije "Medvjedić Padington 1&2") oponaša Stewarta i Burtona. Štoviše, psihodeličnost i ekscentričnost prethodnika sada je zamijenila sentimentalnost i iskrenost, lišena modernog cinizma.

"Wonka" ima britansku vibru i čak je duhovno bliži "Paddingtonu" nego "Charlieju i tvornici čokolade" po pitanju redateljske imaginacije, vizualnih gegova, raskošne fotografije, scenografije i kostimografije itd., samo što nije baš toliko dobar, a mogao je proći i bez nekih bizarnosti (mužnja žirafe).

Operirajući iznad blagdansko-konfekcijskog prosjeka, King je ponovno angažirao glumce iz filmova o dražesnom medvjediću, Hugha Granta ("mali narančasti čovjek" Oompa-Loompa) i Sally Hawkins (pokojna majka glavnog lika), a možda ga je i zatvorska scena iz "Paddingtona 2" inspirirala za pjesmu iz praonice "Scrub, Scrub", ali i da pretvori "Wonku" u potpuni mjuzikl.

Nije samo da Chalamet pjeva "Pure Imagination" kao Wilder i da čujemo "Oompa Loompa, doompety doo", nego i još nekoliko pjesama, od kojih je ponajbolja "A World Of Your Own". Drugi glazbeni broj sa stihovima "Ovakvu čokoladu niste probali" potencira lepršavi fantazijski, filmsko-magijski štih "Wonke", kad se ispostavi da čokolaterijer mašta kako svi oko njega pjevaju i plešu.

"No daydreaming", upozorava znak, naglašavajući da je sanjarenje kažnjivo. Međutim, dobronamjerni film poziva gledatelje upravo na to jer "svaka dobra stvar na ovom svijetu počela je od sna", kako je Wonkina majka rekla sinu. "Drži se svoga sna", savjetovala mu je ona.

Dakako, Wonkin je san otvoriti čokoladnicu u centru grada, ali u tome ga pokušavaju spriječiti Slugworth, Prodnose i Fickelgruber (Paterson Joseph, Matt Lucas, Mathew Baynton) koji drže lokalni "čokoladni kartel" i podmićuju šefa policije (Keegan Michael-Key), u čemu im pomaže i korumpirani svećenik Julius (Rowan Atkinson) s petsto "čokoholičnih redovnika".

Komplikacije nastupaju i kad Wonka ostane dužan žutozuboj gospođi Scrubbit (oskarovka Olivia Colman) i bude zarobljen u njezinoj praonici zajedno s mladom Noodle (Calah Lane) i ostalim dužnicima (Jim Carter, Rakhee Thakrar, Natasha Rothwell, Rich Fulcher) sve dok ne otplati dug, a tu je i Oompa-Loompa, odlučan vratiti ono što mu je čokolatijer ukrao.

Pa ipak, ne treba sumnjati da će sve na kraju biti u redu. Ovo je "feel good movie" koji kod gledatelja nastoji izazvati osjećaj kušanja čokolade i s(t)imulirati proizvodnju endorfina, hormona sreće, potaknuti na pjesmu i ples. "Ne mogu sada stati, počeo sam plesati", kaže Oompa-Loompa i prenosi nastojanja filma. Oompa Loompa, doompety doo...

Timothee se vraća ‘Dini‘

Timotheeja Chalameta ubrzo ćemo gledati i u nastavku "Dine", nakon odgode tempiranom za premijeru na prijelazu veljače u ožujak.
