"Svi žele biti trilijarderi." – "Trilijarderka" (2020.)

Nagradno pitanje "gdje je zadnjih godina nestala Debra Winger?", postavljeno na društvenim mrežama prije neki dan, točno na glumičin rođendan, dobiva odgovor u američkom nezavisnom filmu "Trilijarderka" redateljice i scenaristice Mirande July, novitetu na hrvatskom "online" videotržištu.

Velika zvijezda osamdesetih ("Oficir i džentlmen"), nominirana za Oscara ("Vrijeme nježnosti"), nastupa u jednoj od rijetkih većih i zamijećenih filmskih uloga od 2000. naovamo, točnije najvećoj uz onu u filmu "The Lovers".

"Ma baš je dobro vidjeti te opet", fanovi mogu zapjevati Wingerici i trebali bi biti zadovoljni izvedbom glumice u nešto starijem izdanju nego su je navikli gledati, toliko da je neki možda neće (isprve) ni prepoznati.

S druge strane, slično "gdje je nestala?" pitanje filmofili i ljubitelji američkih "indie" filmova su posljednje vrijeme postavljali i za filmašicu July.

Jedna od najvećih nada "indie" scene početkom dvijetisućitih osvojila je 2005. filmsko-festivalski svijet od Sundancea do Cannesa neodoljivim i pamtljivo naslovljenim prvijencem "Ti, ja i svi koje poznajemo" koji je, režiran i napisan u najboljoj tradiciji "sundanceovskih" nezavisnjaka, zasluženo našao svoje mjesto na "best of" listi filmske 2006. na ovome mjestu.

Dugo pripremani drugijenac "Future" July je snimila šest godina kasnije, ali isti je, unatoč premijeri na prestižnom Berlin Film Festivalu, brzo pao u zaborav, ne mogavši se mjeriti s "Me and You and Everyone We Know". U zaborav je pala i July koja je do 2020. i "Kajillionaire" režirala samo jedan kratki film i nastupila u ponekoj seriji kao glumica."Trilijarderka" vraća July iz zaborava i pokazuje da je redateljica još uvijek kadra snimiti prilično nezaboravni "indie".

Treći film američke filmašice crpi kvalitete njezina prvijenca, djeluje "julyovski" autentično, kao filmska "kriška života" iz žanra humoristične drame, s povremenim iskoracima u bizarno-forsiranu "nezavisnjačku"/festivalsku "artsy" otkačenost, u smislu da se likovi ne ponašaju kao normalni ljudi, podsjećajući tu i tamo na čudn(ovat)e karaktere iz pomaknutih ostvarenja Akija Kaurismakija, Yorgosa Lanthimosa i Roya Anderssona.

Likovi su članovi disfunkcionalne "obitelji čudaka", sitnih muljatora i prevaranata koji "kradu pomalo" – introvertirana kćerka Old Dolio (Evan Rachel Wood), te njezini autsajderski roditelji, majka Theresa (Winger) i otac Robert (oskarovski nominent Richard Jenkins).

Glumci su, međutim, toliko uigrani da izgledaju kao prava familija, čudačka ili ne, a obiteljska dinamika pokreće film i likove do susreta s Melanie (Gina Rodriguez), privučene njihovim prevarantsko-pljačkaškim stilom života i spremnom na "stažiranje", koji bi mogao biti od presudna značaja za društveno neprilagođenu, emotivno zatvorenu i od normalnih odnosa diskonektiranu Old Dolio.

Odnosi među likovima zanimaju July i u ovom filmu, a protagonisti su žrtve kapitalizma i žive u uredu napuštene zgrade gdje nekoliko puta dnevno curi roznjikava pjena iz susjedne tvornice sapunice koja izgleda kao sluz iz "Mjehura ubojice" ili "Istjerivača duhova II".

Novost je da July koketira s "heist/caper" žanrom, premda je "Kajillionaire" u tom smislu bliži pljačkaškom filmu s tikovima kakav je "Matchstick Men", a ne "Ocean's 11-13", neovisno o tome što Melanie kaže da voli serijal s Georgeom Clooneyjem i ekipom, očekujući možda nešto tog tipa kad je, uzbuđena, postala "dio pljačke" lopovske obitelji, baš poput gledatelja neupućenijeg u redateljičin opus.

Prizori krađe čekovnih knjižica iz poštanskih pretinaca, odnosno kćerkina približavanja pošti i sakrivanja od sigurnosnih kamera (preskok, saginjanje) izazivaju slatki osmjeh neusiljenom blesavoćom, kao i prevarantska prerušavanja Old Dolio, a nasuprot njih su neke gorke srcedrapateljske scene, kao kad lopovi dođu u kuću umirućeg usamljenog čovjeka koji pred smrt želi osjetiti prisutnost obitelji u domu, pa makar familija bila falša. "Uzmi kostim katoličke školarke, moraš im dotaknuti srce", predlaže otac Old Doolio. July uvažava prijedlog i opet dotiče srce gledatelja.

Od jednog Sundancea do drugog

Evan Rachel Wood je skrenula pažnju na sebe ulogom u nezavisnom filmu "Trinaest", premijerno prikazanom na Sundanceu. Posljednjih godina gledali smo je i u seriji "Westworld".

"Svi žele biti trilijarderi." – "Trilijarderka" (2020.)

Nagradno pitanje "gdje je zadnjih godina nestala Debra Winger?", postavljeno na društvenim mrežama prije neki dan, točno na glumičin rođendan, dobiva odgovor u američkom nezavisnom filmu "Trilijarderka" redateljice i scenaristice Mirande July, novitetu na hrvatskom "online" videotržištu.

Velika zvijezda osamdesetih ("Oficir i džentlmen"), nominirana za Oscara ("Vrijeme nježnosti"), nastupa u jednoj od rijetkih većih i zamijećenih filmskih uloga od 2000. naovamo, točnije najvećoj uz onu u filmu "The Lovers".

"Ma baš je dobro vidjeti te opet", fanovi mogu zapjevati Wingerici i trebali bi biti zadovoljni izvedbom glumice u nešto starijem izdanju nego su je navikli gledati, toliko da je neki možda neće (isprve) ni prepoznati.

S druge strane, slično "gdje je nestala?" pitanje filmofili i ljubitelji američkih "indie" filmova su posljednje vrijeme postavljali i za filmašicu July.

Jedna od najvećih nada "indie" scene početkom dvijetisućitih osvojila je 2005. filmsko-festivalski svijet od Sundancea do Cannesa neodoljivim i pamtljivo naslovljenim prvijencem "Ti, ja i svi koje poznajemo" koji je, režiran i napisan u najboljoj tradiciji "sundanceovskih" nezavisnjaka, zasluženo našao svoje mjesto na "best of" listi filmske 2006. na ovome mjestu.

Dugo pripremani drugijenac "Future" July je snimila šest godina kasnije, ali isti je, unatoč premijeri na prestižnom Berlin Film Festivalu, brzo pao u zaborav, ne mogavši se mjeriti s "Me and You and Everyone We Know". U zaborav je pala i July koja je do 2020. i "Kajillionaire" režirala samo jedan kratki film i nastupila u ponekoj seriji kao glumica."Trilijarderka" vraća July iz zaborava i pokazuje da je redateljica još uvijek kadra snimiti prilično nezaboravni "indie".

Treći film američke filmašice crpi kvalitete njezina prvijenca, djeluje "julyovski" autentično, kao filmska "kriška života" iz žanra humoristične drame, s povremenim iskoracima u bizarno-forsiranu "nezavisnjačku"/festivalsku "artsy" otkačenost, u smislu da se likovi ne ponašaju kao normalni ljudi, podsjećajući tu i tamo na čudn(ovat)e karaktere iz pomaknutih ostvarenja Akija Kaurismakija, Yorgosa Lanthimosa i Roya Anderssona.

Likovi su članovi disfunkcionalne "obitelji čudaka", sitnih muljatora i prevaranata koji "kradu pomalo" – introvertirana kćerka Old Dolio (Evan Rachel Wood), te njezini autsajderski roditelji, majka Theresa (Winger) i otac Robert (oskarovski nominent Richard Jenkins).

Glumci su, međutim, toliko uigrani da izgledaju kao prava familija, čudačka ili ne, a obiteljska dinamika pokreće film i likove do susreta s Melanie (Gina Rodriguez), privučene njihovim prevarantsko-pljačkaškim stilom života i spremnom na "stažiranje", koji bi mogao biti od presudna značaja za društveno neprilagođenu, emotivno zatvorenu i od normalnih odnosa diskonektiranu Old Dolio.

Odnosi među likovima zanimaju July i u ovom filmu, a protagonisti su žrtve kapitalizma i žive u uredu napuštene zgrade gdje nekoliko puta dnevno curi roznjikava pjena iz susjedne tvornice sapunice koja izgleda kao sluz iz "Mjehura ubojice" ili "Istjerivača duhova II".

Novost je da July koketira s "heist/caper" žanrom, premda je "Kajillionaire" u tom smislu bliži pljačkaškom filmu s tikovima kakav je "Matchstick Men", a ne "Ocean's 11-13", neovisno o tome što Melanie kaže da voli serijal s Georgeom Clooneyjem i ekipom, očekujući možda nešto tog tipa kad je, uzbuđena, postala "dio pljačke" lopovske obitelji, baš poput gledatelja neupućenijeg u redateljičin opus.

Prizori krađe čekovnih knjižica iz poštanskih pretinaca, odnosno kćerkina približavanja pošti i sakrivanja od sigurnosnih kamera (preskok, saginjanje) izazivaju slatki osmjeh neusiljenom blesavoćom, kao i prevarantska prerušavanja Old Dolio, a nasuprot njih su neke gorke srcedrapateljske scene, kao kad lopovi dođu u kuću umirućeg usamljenog čovjeka koji pred smrt želi osjetiti prisutnost obitelji u domu, pa makar familija bila falša. "Uzmi kostim katoličke školarke, moraš im dotaknuti srce", predlaže otac Old Doolio. July uvažava prijedlog i opet dotiče srce gledatelja.

Evan Rachel Wood je skrenula pažnju na sebe ulogom u nezavisnom filmu "Trinaest", premijerno prikazanom na Sundanceu. Posljednjih godina gledali smo je i u seriji "Westworld".
