Toplinski val u stvarnosti, "Toplinski val" u "online" videotekama. Erotski triler oduvijek je bio idealno "zagrijavanje" za ljeto. Revni posjetitelji videoteka devedesetih godina prošlog stoljeća sjetit će se niske tako žanriranih "B" (i "C") filmova sa Shannon Tweed u glavnoj ulozi, tipa "Indecent Behaviour", "Scorned", "Illicit Dreams"..., koji su najviše nicali na policama upravo u ovo doba godine.

Par dekada kasnije, dakle, slična priča i "Heatwave" je možda vjesnik pojave još nekolicine filmova ovog tipa u "online" videotekama. Promijenio se samo model distribucije (od starih dobrih "fizičkih" do novovjekih internetskih videoteka), ali filmovi su, čini se, ostali isti.

"Toplinski val" je erotični trilerčić u kakvom je nekoć mogla glumiti Shannon Tweed, nipošto Sharon Stone ("Sirove strasti"), a danas u njemu glume Kat Graham i Merritt Patterson.

Nakon što su kulminirali u devedesetima, erotski trileri se mic po mic vraćaju, no "Heatwave" nažalost nije kalibar "Voyeurs" ili "Deep Water", tj. solidan, premda je pinku bolji ili manje loš od "Brazen".

Treba to zahvaliti redatelju Ernieju Barbarashu (režirao nekoliko videotečnih Van Dammeovih filmova tipa "6 Bullets" i "Pound Of Flesh"; producirao "Američkog psiha"), scenaristu Chrisu Sivertsonu i raspoloženim glavnim glumicama. Koliko-toliko gledljivim, pa i nešto drukčijim, svakako ga čine glumice koje su iznad filma u ulogama djelomičnih "against type" likova.

Grahan nastupa u ulozi Claire Valens, mlade poslovne žene sumnjive prošlosti. U mladosti je, sudeći po uvodnoj sceni, izazvala požar. "Ljubav je smrtonosnija od vatre: dvostruko vruće, deset puta veća destrukcija", govori Claire u "offu" preko prizora požara.

Otprilike istovremeno, Claire dobiva posao u firmi za nekretnine pod ravnanjem Scotta Cranea (Sebastian Roché, najpoznatije manje poznato lice u glumačkoj ekipi) i započinje aferu s privlačnom poduzetnicom Eve (Patterson) nakon što je jedne usijane ljetne večeri zatekne nagu u bazenu.

Eve i Claire završe u razmjerno vrućem zagrljaju. Čini se da je ljubavna veza na pomolu, neovisno o tome što Eve veli "moramo paziti, ovo može završiti gadno", ali zaljubljena Claire ne ide zatim. Zato se Claire nemalo iznenadi kad je šef pozove na domjenak kod kuće i ona tamo zatekne Eve koja je – njegova (trofejna) žena.

Claire postaje upetljana u ljubavni trokut u kojem, standardno, ništa nije onako kako se čini i svi skrivaju neke tajne, a neki i zahvaljuju bogu na vrućini. "Svi imamo svoje male tajne, zar ne", napominje jedan lik.

Misteriozni Scott ("prva žena mu je nestala") govori da "neće nikad pustiti" Eve i nedugo potom bude pronađen mrtav, i to nakon što je Claire poslao SMS poruku "Znam", idealno da se i ona nađe među potencijalnim osumnjičenima za njegovo umorstvo u očima policijskih detektiva Parkera i Leonarda (Roger Cross, Cardi Wong).

U pravu ste ako iščitavate predvidljivost iz posljednje rečenice i filma uopće, ali "Toplinski val" se barem trudi obrnuti uloge u ovakvom tipu trilera, odnosno načiniti da se u ljubavnom erotsko-trilerskom trokutu nalaze dvije žene (lezbijke) i jedan muškarac, a ne obratno. "Dvostruko vruće, deset puta veća destrukcija" ili "hvala bogu na vrućini".

Kat Graham i Merritt Patterson

Kat Graham i Merritt Patterson su generacija, rođene 1989. i 1990. u Švicarskoj i Kanadi. Graham je, primjerice, dosad glumila u filmu "All Eyez on Me: Legenda o Tupacu Shakuru", i to Jadu Pinkett, a Patterson se našla s Jasonom Momoom u vukodlačkom akcijskom hororu "Wolves".

Toplinski val u stvarnosti, "Toplinski val" u "online" videotekama. Erotski triler oduvijek je bio idealno "zagrijavanje" za ljeto. Revni posjetitelji videoteka devedesetih godina prošlog stoljeća sjetit će se niske tako žanriranih "B" (i "C") filmova sa Shannon Tweed u glavnoj ulozi, tipa "Indecent Behaviour", "Scorned", "Illicit Dreams"..., koji su najviše nicali na policama upravo u ovo doba godine.

Par dekada kasnije, dakle, slična priča i "Heatwave" je možda vjesnik pojave još nekolicine filmova ovog tipa u "online" videotekama. Promijenio se samo model distribucije (od starih dobrih "fizičkih" do novovjekih internetskih videoteka), ali filmovi su, čini se, ostali isti.

"Toplinski val" je erotični trilerčić u kakvom je nekoć mogla glumiti Shannon Tweed, nipošto Sharon Stone ("Sirove strasti"), a danas u njemu glume Kat Graham i Merritt Patterson.

Nakon što su kulminirali u devedesetima, erotski trileri se mic po mic vraćaju, no "Heatwave" nažalost nije kalibar "Voyeurs" ili "Deep Water", tj. solidan, premda je pinku bolji ili manje loš od "Brazen".

Treba to zahvaliti redatelju Ernieju Barbarashu (režirao nekoliko videotečnih Van Dammeovih filmova tipa "6 Bullets" i "Pound Of Flesh"; producirao "Američkog psiha"), scenaristu Chrisu Sivertsonu i raspoloženim glavnim glumicama. Koliko-toliko gledljivim, pa i nešto drukčijim, svakako ga čine glumice koje su iznad filma u ulogama djelomičnih "against type" likova.

Grahan nastupa u ulozi Claire Valens, mlade poslovne žene sumnjive prošlosti. U mladosti je, sudeći po uvodnoj sceni, izazvala požar. "Ljubav je smrtonosnija od vatre: dvostruko vruće, deset puta veća destrukcija", govori Claire u "offu" preko prizora požara.

Otprilike istovremeno, Claire dobiva posao u firmi za nekretnine pod ravnanjem Scotta Cranea (Sebastian Roché, najpoznatije manje poznato lice u glumačkoj ekipi) i započinje aferu s privlačnom poduzetnicom Eve (Patterson) nakon što je jedne usijane ljetne večeri zatekne nagu u bazenu.

Eve i Claire završe u razmjerno vrućem zagrljaju. Čini se da je ljubavna veza na pomolu, neovisno o tome što Eve veli "moramo paziti, ovo može završiti gadno", ali zaljubljena Claire ne ide zatim. Zato se Claire nemalo iznenadi kad je šef pozove na domjenak kod kuće i ona tamo zatekne Eve koja je – njegova (trofejna) žena.

Claire postaje upetljana u ljubavni trokut u kojem, standardno, ništa nije onako kako se čini i svi skrivaju neke tajne, a neki i zahvaljuju bogu na vrućini. "Svi imamo svoje male tajne, zar ne", napominje jedan lik.

Misteriozni Scott ("prva žena mu je nestala") govori da "neće nikad pustiti" Eve i nedugo potom bude pronađen mrtav, i to nakon što je Claire poslao SMS poruku "Znam", idealno da se i ona nađe među potencijalnim osumnjičenima za njegovo umorstvo u očima policijskih detektiva Parkera i Leonarda (Roger Cross, Cardi Wong).

U pravu ste ako iščitavate predvidljivost iz posljednje rečenice i filma uopće, ali "Toplinski val" se barem trudi obrnuti uloge u ovakvom tipu trilera, odnosno načiniti da se u ljubavnom erotsko-trilerskom trokutu nalaze dvije žene (lezbijke) i jedan muškarac, a ne obratno. "Dvostruko vruće, deset puta veća destrukcija" ili "hvala bogu na vrućini".

Kat Graham i Merritt Patterson

Kat Graham i Merritt Patterson su generacija, rođene 1989. i 1990. u Švicarskoj i Kanadi. Graham je, primjerice, dosad glumila u filmu "All Eyez on Me: Legenda o Tupacu Shakuru", i to Jadu Pinkett, a Patterson se našla s Jasonom Momoom u vukodlačkom akcijskom hororu "Wolves".
