Insektoliki izvanzemaljski parazit u kultnom SF akcijskom horor trileru “Skriveni” (“The Hidden”, 1987.) izazivao je krajnju nelagodu i strah tijekom prvog ukazanja. Alienove paukolike crne noge i ticala nesramežljivo su provirili iz usta čovjeka, njegova domaćina. Ljigavo stvorenje je zatim u cijelosti izgmizalo van i skučilo se u unutrašnjosti drugog čovjeka, novog ljudskog domaćina. Scena jedva da se ispratila bez skretanja pogleda prilikom prvog susreta s filmom na videu.
Noćne more od “Aliena ”, “Stvora ” i “Terminatora ” nisu se još povukle iz kolektivnih snova generacije osamdesetih kad se prije 35 godina pojavio “Skriveni” Jacka Sholdera , režisera koji je naučio ponešto o snomoricama snimajući “Nigtmare On Elm Street 2”, nastavak “Strave u Ulici brijestova ”.

Nastao prema scenariju Jima Koufa (“Policijska zasjeda ”), “The Hidden” je preuzeo košmarnu štafetu, ali i određene elemente od spomenutih SF-hororskih filmova.
Izvanzemaljac oralnim putem ulazi u ljude i nastani se na neko vrijeme u njihovom stomaku (“Alien”). To je parazitski organizam i mijenja domaćine ulazeći iz jednog ljudskog tijela u drugo, može i pasje, kako bi se skrio i preživio (“The Thing”).
Ljudi s alienom u sebi, koji kontrolira njihovo tijelo i um, pretvaraju se u ubojice i ne ostaju mrtvi ni kad ih se izrešeta (“The Terminator”). Jedan takav čovjek, Jack DeVries (Chris Mulkey ), na početku filma opljačka banku i isprazni sačmaricu u nekolicinu slučajnih namjernika.
Zbivanja pratimo iz perspektive crno-bijele nadzorne kamere. DeVries će načas zastati, pogledati u nadzornu kameru i napucati je nakon što lice razvuče u manični osmijeh. Tip je naizgled “normalan” pljačkaš banaka i ubojica, ali djeluje kao da je obuzet ili robotiziran i takav sjeda za upravljač crnog Ferrarija.
U bijegu od policije DeVries daje gas do daske i gazi sve pred sobom, uključujući nekog nesretnika u invalidskim kolicima i dvojicu muškaraca koji nose staklo, sve dok hard rock/heavy metal vrišti iz njegova automobila. On neće stati ni kad mu policajci, na čelu s “macho” detektivom Tomom Beckom (Michael Nouri ; “Flashdance ”), pripreme barikadu i otvore na njega vatru; naprotiv zabija se Ferrarijem u kordon vozila.
Netko drugi bi u takvom (s)udaru stradao, no DeVries ne umire niti kad ga policajci izbuše mecima kao švicarski sir i Ferrari eksplodira, iako će završiti u bolnici i, u sceni psihoseksualnog i tjelesnog horora dostojnog “Muhe ” (izlaženje iz usta kao porađanje), prenijeti aliena u komatoznog pacijenta Jonathana Millera (William Boyett ) koji ustaje iz postelje i kreće u ubojiti pohod.

Do tog “alienskog” trenutka, Sholder skriva pravu prirodu “Skrivenog” i uvjerava publiku da gleda više-manje prepoznatljivi policijski akcijski triler osamdesetih s pucnjavom i potjerama a la “Živjeti i umrijeti u Los Angelesu ”. “The Hidden” to i jest, ali će morfirati u SF horor i pretvoriti se u jedan od boljih žanrovskih hibrida dekade.
Sholder mijenja žanrove s jednakom lakoćom kao što vanzemaljac mijenja tijela, od “buddy” akcije do SF-a na temu izvanzemaljske invazije, od čudovišnog i tjelesnog horora do britke društvene satire itd. Kad Beck nevoljko dobije za partnera neobičnog agenta FBI-ja Lloyda Gallaghera (pogođeno minimalistički Kyle MacLachlan , zvijezda “Dine ” i “Plavog baršuna ” na audiciji za “Twin Peaks ”), film postaje “buddy movie” kao vršnjačko “Smrtonosno oružje ”, što će i ostati do kraja.
Samo, ovaj dvojac nema posla s običnim kriminalcima, već izvanzemaljcima jer zločinac kojeg traže “nije čovjek”. “Govorimo li ovdje o svemircu?”, pita Beck. “Skriveni” ne skriva transžanrovske utjecaje (“Invazija tjelokradica”), kao i veliku ljubav prema “Stvoru” (pipci stvorenja se probijaju kroz Millerovu lijevu ruku) i naročito “Terminatoru” (neuništivi izvanzemaljac u ljudskom tijelu sklon terminaciji i destrukciji, MacLachlan kao Kyle Reese ovog filma, napad na policijsku stanicu).
No, “The Hidden” je umio transcendirati utjecaje s puno imaginacije, biti nepredvidljiv i jedinstven kao cjelina, čak i ostvariti utjecaj na neke SF akcije/horore (“Dark Angel”, “The Borrower”, “Species”, “Terminator 3 ”), najviše “They Live ” o izvanzemaljcima koji upravljaju Amerikom i uspostavili su konzumerističko društvo kontrole uma.
Primjerice, alienski negativac voli teško naoružanje kao i Terminator, ali ono što su za kiborga kožna jakna i sunčane naočale, to su za izvanzemaljca skupocjeni sportski automobili i žestoka muzika, prema čemu pokazuje posebnu naklonost, posjećujući automobilske salone (“Želim taj auto”) i glazbene dućane odakle krade kasetofon i audiokasete.

”Zašto bi došao ovdje i ubio tipa zbog par stotina dolara i radija?”, čudi se Beck kako je još jedan običan, dobar, do prije par dana normalan čovjek bez kaznenog dosjea postao ubojica. “Zato što mu se sviđa. Vidi nešto što želi, on to ukrade. Ako mu se nešto nađe na putu, on to ubije”, objašnjava Gallagher koji i sam izgleda kao da nije s ovoga svijeta i lako bi mogao biti alien, plus vozi Porsche.
Zločesti izvanzemaljac posjećuje i striptiz-klub, gdje će preuzeti tijelo seksi striptizete Brende (Claudia Christian ) i u tom tijelu nekog tipa “poševiti do smrti”, a onda se i nadiviti svojim grudima prije nego uzme u ruke artiljeriju kao u akcijskim filmovima dekade, “Rambu II ”, “Invaziji na SAD ”, “Komandosu ”...
On se na Zemlji želi dobro zabaviti i konzumirati sve poroke, ponašajući se poput adolescenta punog hormona odraslog na filmovima i glazbi osamdesetih nakon što je dobio priliku raditi što poželi i naći se u tijelu “playboyevske” seks-bombe koja će postati “žena uništitelj” i svojevrsna Terminatorica prije Terminatorice u “T3”.
Kritika konzumerizma reaganovske ere prilično je subverzivno provučena kroz film, kao i suptilna, vizionarska autoironija na račun žanra s nezaustavljivim “strojevima za ubijanje” koji ovdje, zahvaljujući “kameleonskom” izvanzemaljcu, mogu biti obični ljudi različitih profila, dobi i fizionomija, sredovječni muškarci pa i žene (vjesnik akcija devedesetih i dvijetisućitih).
Subverzija je i neskriveno politička u “Skrivenom”, kao i u “Oni žive”. Jer, konzumeristički nastrojeni alien prisvaja i tijelo američkog senatora s predsjedničkim ambicijama. Od “Želim auto” do “Želim biti predsjednik” i zavladati Amerikom nije dalek put.

Nemjerljivo slabiji nastavak iz 1993.
Šest godina kasnije, u vrijeme novog remakea "Invasion Of The Bodysnatchers" u režiji Abela Ferrare, snimljen je nemjerljivo slabiji nastavak u kojem je Nouri odigrao "cameo" ulogu. Zanimljivo, Nouri je bio u igri za ulogu Martina Riggsa u "Lethal Weapon".

Insektoliki izvanzemaljski parazit u kultnom SF akcijskom horor trileru “Skriveni” (“The Hidden”, 1987.) izazivao je krajnju nelagodu i strah tijekom prvog ukazanja. Alienove paukolike crne noge i ticala nesramežljivo su provirili iz usta čovjeka, njegova domaćina. Ljigavo stvorenje je zatim u cijelosti izgmizalo van i skučilo se u unutrašnjosti drugog čovjeka, novog ljudskog domaćina. Scena jedva da se ispratila bez skretanja pogleda prilikom prvog susreta s filmom na videu.
Noćne more od “Aliena ”, “Stvora ” i “Terminatora ” nisu se još povukle iz kolektivnih snova generacije osamdesetih kad se prije 35 godina pojavio “Skriveni” Jacka Sholdera , režisera koji je naučio ponešto o snomoricama snimajući “Nigtmare On Elm Street 2”, nastavak “Strave u Ulici brijestova ”.

Nastao prema scenariju Jima Koufa (“Policijska zasjeda ”), “The Hidden” je preuzeo košmarnu štafetu, ali i određene elemente od spomenutih SF-hororskih filmova.
Izvanzemaljac oralnim putem ulazi u ljude i nastani se na neko vrijeme u njihovom stomaku (“Alien”). To je parazitski organizam i mijenja domaćine ulazeći iz jednog ljudskog tijela u drugo, može i pasje, kako bi se skrio i preživio (“The Thing”).
Ljudi s alienom u sebi, koji kontrolira njihovo tijelo i um, pretvaraju se u ubojice i ne ostaju mrtvi ni kad ih se izrešeta (“The Terminator”). Jedan takav čovjek, Jack DeVries (Chris Mulkey ), na početku filma opljačka banku i isprazni sačmaricu u nekolicinu slučajnih namjernika.
Zbivanja pratimo iz perspektive crno-bijele nadzorne kamere. DeVries će načas zastati, pogledati u nadzornu kameru i napucati je nakon što lice razvuče u manični osmijeh. Tip je naizgled “normalan” pljačkaš banaka i ubojica, ali djeluje kao da je obuzet ili robotiziran i takav sjeda za upravljač crnog Ferrarija.
U bijegu od policije DeVries daje gas do daske i gazi sve pred sobom, uključujući nekog nesretnika u invalidskim kolicima i dvojicu muškaraca koji nose staklo, sve dok hard rock/heavy metal vrišti iz njegova automobila. On neće stati ni kad mu policajci, na čelu s “macho” detektivom Tomom Beckom (Michael Nouri ; “Flashdance ”), pripreme barikadu i otvore na njega vatru; naprotiv zabija se Ferrarijem u kordon vozila.
Netko drugi bi u takvom (s)udaru stradao, no DeVries ne umire niti kad ga policajci izbuše mecima kao švicarski sir i Ferrari eksplodira, iako će završiti u bolnici i, u sceni psihoseksualnog i tjelesnog horora dostojnog “Muhe ” (izlaženje iz usta kao porađanje), prenijeti aliena u komatoznog pacijenta Jonathana Millera (William Boyett ) koji ustaje iz postelje i kreće u ubojiti pohod.

Do tog “alienskog” trenutka, Sholder skriva pravu prirodu “Skrivenog” i uvjerava publiku da gleda više-manje prepoznatljivi policijski akcijski triler osamdesetih s pucnjavom i potjerama a la “Živjeti i umrijeti u Los Angelesu ”. “The Hidden” to i jest, ali će morfirati u SF horor i pretvoriti se u jedan od boljih žanrovskih hibrida dekade.
Sholder mijenja žanrove s jednakom lakoćom kao što vanzemaljac mijenja tijela, od “buddy” akcije do SF-a na temu izvanzemaljske invazije, od čudovišnog i tjelesnog horora do britke društvene satire itd. Kad Beck nevoljko dobije za partnera neobičnog agenta FBI-ja Lloyda Gallaghera (pogođeno minimalistički Kyle MacLachlan , zvijezda “Dine ” i “Plavog baršuna ” na audiciji za “Twin Peaks ”), film postaje “buddy movie” kao vršnjačko “Smrtonosno oružje ”, što će i ostati do kraja.
Samo, ovaj dvojac nema posla s običnim kriminalcima, već izvanzemaljcima jer zločinac kojeg traže “nije čovjek”. “Govorimo li ovdje o svemircu?”, pita Beck. “Skriveni” ne skriva transžanrovske utjecaje (“Invazija tjelokradica”), kao i veliku ljubav prema “Stvoru” (pipci stvorenja se probijaju kroz Millerovu lijevu ruku) i naročito “Terminatoru” (neuništivi izvanzemaljac u ljudskom tijelu sklon terminaciji i destrukciji, MacLachlan kao Kyle Reese ovog filma, napad na policijsku stanicu).
No, “The Hidden” je umio transcendirati utjecaje s puno imaginacije, biti nepredvidljiv i jedinstven kao cjelina, čak i ostvariti utjecaj na neke SF akcije/horore (“Dark Angel”, “The Borrower”, “Species”, “Terminator 3 ”), najviše “They Live ” o izvanzemaljcima koji upravljaju Amerikom i uspostavili su konzumerističko društvo kontrole uma.
Primjerice, alienski negativac voli teško naoružanje kao i Terminator, ali ono što su za kiborga kožna jakna i sunčane naočale, to su za izvanzemaljca skupocjeni sportski automobili i žestoka muzika, prema čemu pokazuje posebnu naklonost, posjećujući automobilske salone (“Želim taj auto”) i glazbene dućane odakle krade kasetofon i audiokasete.

”Zašto bi došao ovdje i ubio tipa zbog par stotina dolara i radija?”, čudi se Beck kako je još jedan običan, dobar, do prije par dana normalan čovjek bez kaznenog dosjea postao ubojica. “Zato što mu se sviđa. Vidi nešto što želi, on to ukrade. Ako mu se nešto nađe na putu, on to ubije”, objašnjava Gallagher koji i sam izgleda kao da nije s ovoga svijeta i lako bi mogao biti alien, plus vozi Porsche.
Zločesti izvanzemaljac posjećuje i striptiz-klub, gdje će preuzeti tijelo seksi striptizete Brende (Claudia Christian ) i u tom tijelu nekog tipa “poševiti do smrti”, a onda se i nadiviti svojim grudima prije nego uzme u ruke artiljeriju kao u akcijskim filmovima dekade, “Rambu II ”, “Invaziji na SAD ”, “Komandosu ”...
On se na Zemlji želi dobro zabaviti i konzumirati sve poroke, ponašajući se poput adolescenta punog hormona odraslog na filmovima i glazbi osamdesetih nakon što je dobio priliku raditi što poželi i naći se u tijelu “playboyevske” seks-bombe koja će postati “žena uništitelj” i svojevrsna Terminatorica prije Terminatorice u “T3”.
Kritika konzumerizma reaganovske ere prilično je subverzivno provučena kroz film, kao i suptilna, vizionarska autoironija na račun žanra s nezaustavljivim “strojevima za ubijanje” koji ovdje, zahvaljujući “kameleonskom” izvanzemaljcu, mogu biti obični ljudi različitih profila, dobi i fizionomija, sredovječni muškarci pa i žene (vjesnik akcija devedesetih i dvijetisućitih).
Subverzija je i neskriveno politička u “Skrivenom”, kao i u “Oni žive”. Jer, konzumeristički nastrojeni alien prisvaja i tijelo američkog senatora s predsjedničkim ambicijama. Od “Želim auto” do “Želim biti predsjednik” i zavladati Amerikom nije dalek put.

Nemjerljivo slabiji nastavak iz 1993.
Šest godina kasnije, u vrijeme novog remakea "Invasion Of The Bodysnatchers" u režiji Abela Ferrare, snimljen je nemjerljivo slabiji nastavak u kojem je Nouri odigrao "cameo" ulogu. Zanimljivo, Nouri je bio u igri za ulogu Martina Riggsa u "Lethal Weapon".
